Madam thank you so much for your efforts. I wonder where were you these days when I felt neuroanatomy boredom piece of anatomy. I would extend my hearty thanks to all those who made this video a practical one.
These videos are the greatest class I have ever attended. Perfect visualization and usage of models, clear description and amazing dedication. Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you for making my sixties Moe enjoyable than ever by diving into these videos. Your clarity and style of presentation is superb Dr. May God bless you.
First of all thanks to Dr. Suzanne who is related to Sir John Eccles foundation ( fortunately Sir Eccles was a good friend of my mentor Dr. TD. Singh from India). I’ve been reading theoretical texts with so many graphical representation of the Limbic system as well as nos. of 3D simulated CGI models with 360 view but still can’t figure out completely to visualised this LS. I don’t mind how many human brains have been dissected for this so precisely presented lecture within almost half an hour make me feel completed. Great job. Thanks.
This is the best thing I've ever seen. I've been faking my way as an ad-hoc anatomist for many years, so this 3D, visuo-descriptive approach has really helped me solidify and enhance my understanding of structure and function. Thanks!
Thank you very much for Neuroscience in this Limbic part that it is very difficult and complicate for me just understood after watched this vdo . There are few professional in the world who can convey knowledge in this field as clearly as you. with great respect.🙏🙏🙏
A very interesting and detailed yet easy to understand video . Very clearly explained with clear diagrams n a very proficient teacher . Thanks a lot ma'am
This video is just amazing! Thank you very much everyone who was involve doing this video! I wish my university create such a quality of recordings for the students.
wow thank you so much, this is such a hard area to visualize, all the different views, cuts, and digital material were really helpful in my understanding
Med Students: Thank you so much, this helped me a lot with my studies! Me, anything but a med student: Thank you so much, I'm just learning minor details about the brain and this helped me a lot x)
If i pass anatomy, i'll send this teacher flowers or other present, even if she's on the other part of the globe. I'm so incredibly thankful for this cns videos i have no words to describe it
Better than any animation, drawing or text book explanation! Specimen Donner Generosity is best served through unrestricted academic dissemination with clarity and scholarship. Exemplary - Thank you!.
Thank you for the videos, I have Neuroanatomy exam coming up and before I saw these videos everything seemed boring, but it makes your base extremely clear :)) and interesting
i suffer from severe anxiety that has totally disabled me. my grandfather also had it although he wasnt as disabled as i have been but then society was easier in his day. i am considering donating my brain for research as i would like it to help stop people suffering like i have. fascinating to see the amygdala
Amygdala alone will not help you curb anxiety.. Cortex also plays a huge role.. Cortex lesion or injury can completely eliminate anxiety or precipitate it 10x with or without amygdala. Just look up more on cortex, especially Dorsolateral, Ventromedial and Orbitofrontal sectors of Cortex.
So it seems as though the white matter is largely meant for connecting different parts of gray matter together kind of like how cables inside a computer or bus wires inside a CPU connect different processing areas. is that correct? Does white matter do any processing of its own?
There was a lot of Hypacampus talk going on and I still don’t get what the limbic lone really is in comparison to the other 4 hemispheres in comes in contact with

I find it very interesting to follow the white matter tracts around to different parts of the greymatter.
So it seems as though the white matter is largely meant for connecting different parts of gray matter together kind of like how cables inside a computer or bus wires inside a CPU connect different processing areas. is that correct? Does white matter do any processing of its own?
White matter is primarily axons. White matter, therefore, is allowing for communication between different areas of grey matter.
Amazing video. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much , it is really great job

Thanks Dr. Stensaas! The classical Greek name of the seahorse is hippocampos. Who gave the English name hippocampus to this brain region, and when?
