Thanks for sharing your journey! I’m 2 days into being monetized and very grateful. I totally agree with you, you need to be passionate and ready to learn every step of the way
It has been 17 years since my first UA-cam upload and I just made my first vlog about having less then 17 subscribers. Love your transparency as I push past my fear of posting and have a new goal of getting monetized.
"being a student of the craft" is the best advice any creator could ever hear. I don't think anyone could have a successful UA-cam channel without having an understanding of all the little aspects of content creation. UA-cam is a game for life-long learners.
Thank you for posting this video. As a newbie to UA-cam, it’s helpful to see how other newer creators are doing it. The tips were helpful. Congratulations on your success.
Thanks for the transparency! It really is refreshing seeing smaller creators showcase an actual REALITY for other small creators too! To everyone else on the journey, don’t give up and keep posting! Wishing the best to all ❤
Hi Stacy! Thanks for sharing this! I truly agree with you about quality over quantity. I just started posting videos last week of January this year and was trying to be consistent and improve my output from one video to the next and surprisingly the algorithm really pick it up. I only post 1 video per week and tremendously give it a huge effort on each. And so far im happy with the quality too. Im still on my journey for the 4000hrs and its a bit far away for me. As of now I have 350hrs 😅 but I know i will be there soon! Cheers to you and goodluck! Thanks for sharing your journey!😊
This video is SO helpful!! I love the depth in which you went through your analytics :) Agree so much on your tips - learning from other creators is incredibly valuable. I love our little youtube family 💓💓
I'm so grateful you popped up on my home page. I really needed to hear this message. I just started posting videos in November and I grew fast (I think because another big UA-camr recommended me). But since 2024, I've actually had negative growth and I've been really down about it. But I'm not going to quit!
Thanks for sharing all your great advice! I particularly like the advice re: studying how to improve your UA-cam videos - such a good tip! I also like the tip to make UA-cam buddies - it is definitely a neat addition to the UA-cam game that's kinda fun and definitely motivating!
Thank you for sharing! Love the honesty! It's a little depressing though, how little you're getting compared to other channels. Some are making thousands right after they're monetized. I don't get it!
Congrats and thanks for sharing this information. As a person who started UA-cam channel last year and still now I have 49 subscribers it's motivating to see others being monetized. It has been hard. Congrats once again
Congrats and really enjoy your message. As a small creator myself documenting our Japanese house renovation in the countryside of Japan I totally get it!
I'm so happy your video showed up on my homepage. I've been creating videos for almost a year and your tips are really going to help me to continue. Congrats on your achievement ❤
Great vid thanks for sharing, some great advice there as well. I feel my channel has grown a lot with all the communicating I do with similar channels, its great to get a good community going where we all help each other out. Oh and grats on getting monetized 😎
another small creator here, when i started my channel i never even thought about being able to earn money through it but as my subs slowly creep up towards the magic 1000 the idea of earning money for making videos about a hobby i love doing is living the dream!
Great video....and congratulations on getting monetized!! I guess that makes you an "influencer" now right? That's some fun bragging rights with friends and family right there 😉 That's my personal goal with UA-cam in a nutshell 😄
@@staciyorkof course! I’m relatively new at making UA-cam videos as well, and you have a naturally great charisma in your videos - something I have to keep working at. Very nice.
Thank you for sharing this information. As far as the quality over quantity I think it depends on the channel type. For gaming I tried quality over quantity and it didn't work very well for the games I played. All the extra hours planning and editing didn't get a good return. There is a niche within the main game I play that would do really good with quality over quantity. I just don't have to time to invest in that area yet. I'm understanding when to use one vs the other. Also you might try starting a new page with the stuff you know. I started a new gaming channel Jan 1st, and it's about to be monetized already. It's crazy how fast you can grow a YT channel with the stuff you have learned in your niche. This gaming channel took right around a year to get monetized, but the 4 months I spent doing quality over quantity really hurt the growth.
I think it really depends on the content! If the value you are providing is daily, authentic, minimally edited connection, then your “quality” comes from that connection! Definitely have to try things out and see what works best for you and your channel!
Much appreciation for the down-to-earth commentary and share. Thanks for bucking the general advice of cranking out content. I think the burnout thing also really can impact things. Also, love the idea of getting a support network of other creators.
Grateful for you sharing this and especially opening the floor to connect! Congratulations on this milestone, here's to an infinity of more, and would love to befriend you too as you soar! ❤🔥🧿💫✨
So true about quality videos being the best option for audiences! My current plan is to push 2 videos a week and it has been a struggle so far! I think I might need to rethink it 😅 You just reminded me about LIFE OF RIZA. Her account blew up from having a small but substantial rolodex of high quality videos.
Life of Riza is definitely one of the channels I was thinking of! She’s obviously amazing at her craft, but I think channels like hers are great examples of quality over quantity. That being said, there’s also channels that blow up posting less produced videos everyday! My life isn’t interesting enough for that tho 😅😂
Hey, glad you made this video and congrats to going so far As a fellow creator myself, growing few channels on youtube, wanna share some tips for yall that helped me a lot in the past. 1) From 0 to first notice takes quite a lot of time IF this is new area for you. If you already doing some content on other social, it will take you way less time 2) Remember that you can make videos not only for money or fame. The process of creating is changing and giving you sooo much knowledge about yourself. It helps you grow as a person, even with 0 views. 3) Do it for a long run, enjoy the process itself. Try to analyze what part of the content creation you love the most and keep it a priority. This is your unique view on it. For someone is storytelling, for others it's editing. Later you can delegate parts that you don't like. 4) Find your pace and what interests YOU. If you want to create it for long time, do smth you like and you'll find your audience.
