Gabriele Marchetti was born in Città di Castello (Italy) in 1983 and started his musical studies at the age of six with accordion then on euphonium, trombone and bass trumpet. Since 2007 he is member of the Italian Wonderbrass ( • Italian Wonderbrass ).
He acted as freelance Solo Trombone for Teatro La Fenice in Venezia, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Firenze, Teatro alla Scala and Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala in Milano, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI in Torino, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Spira Mirabilis, Gstaad Festival Orchestra, Kammerorchester Basel, Camerata Bern, Berner Sinfonieorchester and more.
In 2012 Gabriele Marchetti joined Theater Orchester Biel Soloturn (www.tobs.ch/) as Solo Trombone and in 2017 he is appointed Trombone Professor at Conservatorio F.Morlacchi in Perugia and at AIMART in Roma (www.aimart.it).
He plays modern and classical period handmade trombones, crafted upon his own design by Matthias Hölle in Germany (www.hoelle-pos...).

Hi Gabrielle, how do you practice arban 12 when you have wide range jumps (trigger B natural to D above the staff) while maintaining the same air, using the same method you described in this video?
Ciao and thanks for being interested! First... I'm Gabriele with just one "L" :-P Filling wide range jumps requires a good grade of flexibility, for this I invite you to check my video about it ua-cam.com/video/-ywBEHZhbXY/v-deo.html Then keep in mind that you shouldn't keep the same air!!! Airstream must be consistent and continous, but it must compensate slide-jumps and range-jumps varying accordingly! So modulate your airflow to reach each note while keeping yur optimal sound quality: generally speaking you should "increase air speed" when you go higher and "increase airflow" when you go lower.
