@@grantexploit5903 eeh I was thinking of adding something in the brackets like fantasy (mythological) and fantasy (romance) for troy/3K. My bad on that one.
To be fair I’d say for Rome 1 and Medieval 2: you feel that you have found perfection and find it hard to adapt to changes. Cos I sure as hell didn’t find Rome 2 simple 😂 and warhammer could be a love of variety
To be fair, between the useless pikes, overpowered heavy cavalry, cumbersome recruitment and units who die because they keep shield bashing for no reason instead of attacking, Medieval 2 is far from perfect.
@@FoxgirlEriana Oh, don't get me started on that. It's either their animations being too slow to hit anyone or their stats being so ridiculous they make other units look like jokes. I mean seriously, 17MA, 8 CB and 11MD for Aztec Eagles?
It is rather smooth button. Actually it is the only total war game where i can't into combat. Units are working unintuitively for me, cavalry dies against some archers, etc. And sieges. Why anybody would build a castle, if walls just do not exist in a functional sense. Walls just suffer in their misery. Maybe i need more time to adapt. Few years more.
Ok, this is a pretty neat concept Really like how thought out the correlations between personality and favorite game You got my view on Empire down perfectly lol
I came for the jokes but most of these were spot on. I have to defend Troy though. There is clearly a lot of passion that was put into this game and the battle maps are the best we’ve seen since Shogun.
I got Troy for free but after playing it for a while I probably would have paid at least 30 bucks for it or so. It's not a "full" total war game but for what it is, it's unique in that it's the only game set in the bronze age and it's actually pretty fun.
@@cultofthevoid5677 I agree %100. There's plenty of new mechanics. Some of which I hope are brought into the next generation of Total War games. Other mechanics didn't quite work but every Total War game has a couple of those (even Medieval 2 had merchants). Honestly these days I think it's just become 'cool' to hate new stuff. A lot of folks want to jump on the hater bandwagon just because you know... misery loves company and all that ^^
@@khanofsteppe1667 I'm just happy they released a semi-historical game even if it's not fully historical. With that said, I do think the game has a bit of an identity crisis. I feel like if they were going to go full historical they should have left it at that and if they were going to do historical mythology they should have gone full on with some of the monsters. It's like the game can't decide if it's a history game or a mythology game. Other than that though, the game is still fun and the resource management adds a layer of depth that was missing in other titles.
@@cultofthevoid5677 I quite like what they did with the monsters in Troy, they didn't put real monsters, they put what could've been mistaken for monsters at the time.
I think Troy is a stepping stone, it tries many new things and the ones that work will be kept. It's inevitable that it will have many flaws and can't be more than a rough gem, but it's worth my time
Actually accurate. Shogun 2 fan, love how tight it is, and how almost every strategy is feasable. Also, American of Japanese ancestory, so family history, I guess.
Medieval 2 is my favorite. It's the only one (beyond the first engine games) that works without shenanigans on my computer that doesn't require Steam/Epic Games/online functions!
Rome 1 and Medieval 2 because I love copy paste units and op game mechanics. Paradox games have by far the best combat mechanics so I play them exclusively now
For the Empire fans, I do not recall exactly where I sw the SEGA quote, but a few months after Warhammer 1 dropped, I remember seeing an interview with one of the devs saying that they where using the Warhammer series as a testbed for Empire 2 development. Their reasoning was that since the Warhammer map is similar to what they want the Empire map to look like, and the different races tests how well they could implement giving cultures and empires their own unique unit trees.
Rome II as stress-free? I've played nearly every title that came before that game and I can honestly say I've never felt as stressed in a Total War game as I had playing Rome in Rome II. Loved playing Pontus tho, until I lost the save file
1. Rome 2/ Attila/ ToB - I love the feel of the games largely because of the immense historical accuracy and find the constant inaccuracies in R1 + M2 to be a bit of a mood killer. Attila is the best Total War hands-down, Rome 2 is not far behind it, and ToB should've been an Attila DLC with all its mechanics intact, but I love it anyway. 2. Empire/ Napoleon - I enjoy the grand scope of ETW and the absolutely stunning atmosphere of NTW. I play ETW non-stop with the "Imperial Destroyer" mod which makes it one of the best Total War games ever imo, and love NTW for both "Darthmod" and "The Great War" mod. 3. Three Kingdoms/ Troy - I'm apparently one of the only 3K players who near-solely plays records mode and super enjoys it. Troy is bronze age I love it too. Although my favourite faction in Troy is Sarpedon because it's the closest to a true Anatolian faction instead of some Greco-Trojan faction, my dislike of the lack of Middle Eastern factions doesn't keep me from enjoying the game, even if it's mostly GREEK! (Eastern factions = best factions in TW games) I guess I'm in the minority because I genuinely think Rome 2, Attila, and Three Kingdoms are the best TW games to date. Empire's too buggy, Napoleon's too small, and Shogun 2 is great but imo feudal Japanese history is super boring.
Ambient is perfect in that game, everything looks kinda dark, but colours are bright, all sounds are perfect, just excellent game, also I like chess style of campaign, I want mtw1 remastered, with everything same, just better graphics and way more provinces and factions...
When you win a defensive siege against a full stack with just your garrison by careful use of heavy infantry, missile management, and that critical charge with your one unit of cav. 😎
If they give Medieval 3 the love and care they gave to Warhammer 2, it will definitely be worth the wait since Med 2. I hope it's the next game after Warhammer 3.
@Generic Name exactly it’s boring, factions like France have to keep fighting other major catholic factions and be unfairly treated by the pope while factions like Byzantine struggle to keep order when expanding because of faith, whole Poland just goes east and game done
I actually liked Poland in Medieval 2, they get cool units and their campaign is so different to anybody elses. I guess I would get bored if I played any of Poland/Russia/Hungary/Denmark 2-3 times after each other (or more).
Despite the terrible launch, Rome II has been by far my favorite title. I think the battle mechanics are smooth, the color palet is nicer than Attila (which I think is on purpose), the multiplayer community was always fun, and there is something about the scale some of the battles got that just stick out in my head. The later political system was also an upgrade, and I began to care more about characters finally. Napoleon with the Darthmod attached is a close second.
Initially my favourite was Attila, for the reasons you stated. At the time I only had Rome 2 and Atilla, I preferred Attila because of its combat and its challenge (strange thing to say but Atilla has a somewhat functioning morale system) Eventually I went to the older titles and got Medieval 2 and it has been my favourite ever since. I absolutely love the combat / Morale system, the open ended ness of the campaign and the mods. Like being able to Wrangle victory from the jaws of death from winning an almost unwinnable battle thanks to your cunning and wit, turning the tide of war into your favour will never be beaten. Its just so satisfying and amazing, its a shame the newer games cant even add a proper morale system.
*Total War Saga: Troy* You grew up playing an old turn-based strategy game set in mycenaean Greece and are clinging to whichever games or mods can fulfill this niche of yours.
"Empire Total War: you love what it could have been, while violently hating what it ended up being" All I wanted was a gunpowder-era Total War that wasn't buggy as hell (Empire) or painfully limited in scope (Napoleon). At least we have Darthmod. also: "Thrones of Brittania: you either really like sieges or you've never heard of Medieval II Kingdoms"
I really love Shogun 2 fall of the samurai with all the unit mods I added to the game. New artillery new infantry new everything. I am the same. I was looking for a main total war that was gunpowder based. My options were empire. Napoleon or one of the Shogun 2s. I play Shogun 2 almost daily. Without the unit mods added I probably wouldn't.
I can’t say I have a favorite. Empire was my first game, I loved the time period, the way they had such a wide variety of cultures and units and stuff, all the different strategies and tactics you could come up with. The map is also grand, the way research works is much more similar to Civilization which is what I was used to. I also enjoy the system of having smaller villages and towns that you could develop any way you needed to get the most out of each settlement. It’s the only Total War game where I’ve been able to conquer the entire world, which I then allowed to rebel to create a fun new map. The Native American expansion was a fun new challenge as I had to unite the tribes to the best of my abilities and completely change the way I fought the advanced European style armies. I haven’t played Rome very extensively, but I did like the setting and I have fond memories of playing a sort of hotseat campaign with friends and shouting “For the glory of Rome!” Every five minutes. Medieval was always great, it was almost like a roleplaying experience for me, and with so many playable factions there’s a lot of fun to be had. I’ll never forget the epic battles in the base game and the Kingdoms expansion, though I’ll never forgive my friend for always playing as Milan in multiplayer battles. (:P) I’d need to put more time into Britannia to get the full experience, but so far I love the time period, the art style, and the politics. I also can’t say I’ve fully experienced Warhammer Total War either as I’ve pretty much only played the Empire and the Dwarves, but my favorite part of that game is learning the other factions’ strengths and weaknesses and developing strategies for each of them-though I abhor how strong the lords and heroes are, it feels like you can’t counter them without a hero of your own, and in moments where my unlucky garrison gets torn to pieces I remember how the actual Warhammer fantasy expected you to attach a commander to a unit rather than send them out solo.

@@robroux5059 Crusades are annoying. The real first crusade was a coalition of empires, and they conquered multiple cities and stuff. These crusades feel more like a race between the different nations to take the target city, and the reward iiiiiis...nothing worthwhile. You either have to struggle to hold a city of a different religion that’s really far from your capital, or let it fall. Even if it wins you favor with the Pope, it inevitably goes down just from defending yourself from your enemies and some other country with more churches wins his love. What’s worse is when you get your crusade army together, join the crusade, sail off...and then the next turn half your force somehow “deserts” in the middle of the Mediterranean. Supposedly they think you’re too slow in getting to the Holy Land, but what’s their plan for a faster route? Swimming?
Attila might be my favorite, if I could run it smoothly at huge unit scale. I'm a simple man, if I can't play the game at huge unit scale it isn't worth my time. I love the doom and gloom atmosphere. The faint glimmers of hope in the sea of barbarians and traitors. Every victory vital. The desperate campaign management as well was stellar.
@@apc9714 WRE = You don't mind having to play a battle that you know you will lose with the only goal being to kill as many barbarians as possible before they inevitably move into Italy.
Well... Napoleon Total War favorite here, and that was absolutely terrifyingly spot on. Are you.... stalking me? I did linger on Napoleon Total War as I used to work on the Napoleonic Total War III modification, mainly beta testing our version of the campaign and making my version of the naval battles. Honestly, that game had great potential, but the Creative Assembly did screw up as I assume they outsourced parts of the game engine, hence why they never released proper modding tools for Empire, Napoleon or Shogun 2. I would absolutely love for an Empire 2, though frankly, I have lost faith in CA, largely due to the flop of Rome 2 (I bought Rome 2 75% off, and I still felt I didn't get my money's worth out of it) and Warhammer became far too popular, leaving us historical fanboys in the dust. So, now I'm stuck playing Paradox games, but I still get that itch to command troops in the field.
I tend to play rome 2 to this day specifically for the feeling of empire building personally, Also i like the broader scope of playable factions compared to rome 1 and medieval 2 even if it is just glorified alternate start positions
Honestly I'd say 3k's fans, being one myself, are more enamoured by the fantastic campaign map gameplay than the duels or specific setting. I like the setting, though I wasn't interested when it was first announced, but I wouldn't say that's why it's my favourite Total War game (having finally been the game to dethrone Medieval 2, which was my first and favourite for a long time). By the way I know this video isn't meant to be taken seriously, I just thought I'd throw this out since lots of people don't seem to get the appeal of 3k.
Agreed, i believe the best campaign experience of all TW's is 3K. There are things i hate (like the recruitment system) but it still is the best for me due to it's diplomacy. I only play records btw.
I came onboard at the beginning with Shogun 1. I have followed, since. My favs are Rome 1, Medieval 2, and Empire. Your opinions of fans of those games match me pretty damn close.
I am Attila TW guy, you are 100% right about us. I am personally obsessed with history and i love constant pressure and hard situations, trying to handle them as much as i can. Attila offers us something different, Attila offers us something weird, Attila have the best mods. Attila is painful, but it's the most pleasurable TW experience at same time. Maybe we are just masochists, who knows.
Attila: You can be either a hipster or a masochist but in most cases you’re both. If you haven’t had barbarians sack your city while your kingdom is in constant danger of plunging into civil war, can you really call yourself a total war player?
I'm one of those old men in their 50's, but Warhammer 2 is my favourite of the series (with Attila a close second) even though the sieges are crap so up your bum bum and... and... well, hmm... I'll remember the other stuff tomorrow so just you watch out for that comment!
Literally described me with Medieval 2. Even though I haven't played it after release of Warhammer 2. Just playing that on occasion now, in hopes for amazing historical title again :D
Where's Legend's comment? Also I am just a Rome 2 player because of Divide Et Impera, makes for a grindy campaign map and hard battles... because history i think???
Shogun 1: Veteran OG player, respect. Medieval 1: Actually underrated game, however outdated at this point and hard to run on modern PCs. You like to do your own thing and don't care about newer stuff. Rome 1: Truly put Total War series on the map, a legendary game. Easy to read and take a dive into, and you will stay for more. You like simpler, but still addicting gameplay, probably dissapointed with Rome 2. Medieval 2: You love the mods and are a purist who still claims that this game is highlight of the series, everything after doesn't come close (save for Shogun 2 obviously). Empire: You like playing with mods and see what they were going for during development. Probably also like the historical period and gunpowder warfare. Napoleon: You like multiplayer battles, enjoy the time period and more refined Empire gameplay. Shogun 2: You are a weeb for Japanese stuff, love samurai and the time period. If you like Fall of the Samurai, you enjoy the arguably best gunpowder gameplay in the series and Last Samurai movie. Rome 2: Might be your first Total War game, you don't care about negative opinions, you stayed around to get the game fixed and still enjoy it, as patience paid off. Attila: You like pain and a challenge in your way to victory. You enjoy a change of pace from typical "conquer everything left to right" to survival horror mode, as the world burns around you. Finally you can make things as they should be (save WRE). Thrones of Britannia: you are a unique breed of player, who goes his own way. Warhammer: you enjoy the setting and buying overpriced DLCs. 3K: you enjoy Chinese culture in general, this includes new options and more fantasy approach with new modes. Troy: Let's be honest, you got it for free from Epic Games, so can't complain. Pharaoh: You enjoy the setting and getting ripped off by CA. Not bad game otherwise, but limited in scope like Troy.
All minus 3 kingdoms is good but Rome 2 clearly the best by far and totally not because I love that time period and the amount of different factions to play and conquer the world with on top of a well designed civil war feature that always keeps you on your toes
Empire gets a bad reputation, I like it more that medieval 2 because it is cleaner. I deal with more bugs in Rome and medieval 2, while not being as small as Napoleon and more unique factions than shogun 2 and newer
Three Kingdoms: You've played A LOT of Kou Shibusawa games and this finally convinced you to give PC gaming a try. Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything.
For me, it changes from Medieval II Empire And Rome II Depending on my mood I would say one is my favorite over the others and is heavily influenced by the setting. Some times I jus want some medieval action and go crusading for a while. Or maybe I want to rolplay as the polish trying to survive during the 18th century ¿Expand the frontiers of Rome? ¿Reclaim the old empire of Alexander? Uh, yes please!
I remember the first time i saw medieval total war in a pc club , i watched for 30 min went out to buy some popcorn and when i returned back offered to the player and asked him to explain the game for me .
Whenever I get back to playing it, time after time I realise that Shogun 1 is still a very, very solid and complete game. Who gives a damn if the armies are still 2D... the tactical options a correct use of terrain offers still fully convince me to this day.
Shogun 2 has the best battles in my opinion (even with low variety of units), I also love how moving your units on map is important. You can move your 2 units of archers (which is impossible in later games) but this army can be easy anihilated (in medieval 2 probably someone will survive if you choose auto battle and run away into edge of the map which is annoying for me). Attila is great about it's difficulty but it is also so annoying XD Attila players will understand. Medieval 1 has so beautiful climate and simple but totally amazing music, if only other mechanics were better.... Rome 1 is very good game I can't tell anything specific about it so I guess it's just greatly balanced. Medieval 2 is just or even better Rome 1. I wonder if there will be ever such great total war, that will combine the best components of it's predecessors..... Overall, Shogun 2 wins for me, but I like also other total war titles, return to them, try something new or just chill to medieval's 1 music and climate ;)
I think battles peaked in M2, they went downhill from there. They became increasingly less tactical after that. Shogun2 is probably the best overall though, had the most polish put into it.
Rome 1 and Empire (This 1 pretty much as you said. I just wish there was a Restore Ally feature rather than having to let it rebel, then get ceasefire and alliance back, and diplomacy was more balanced. How is it fair that I take 2 cities and become hated when the AI does it and it hardly changes their rep?)
After many years i grew to appreciate rome II. The politics is intriguing. The battle seems a bit arcade at times and i really don't like the army limitation... But well can't have anything. Attilla is great but very intense. As having grown up with rome and barbarian invasion is difficult to surpass the og!
So, which one(s) are you?

To be fair I’d say for Rome 1 and Medieval 2: you feel that you have found perfection and find it hard to adapt to changes. Cos I sure as hell didn’t find Rome 2 simple 😂 and warhammer could be a love of variety
I, personally can't handle Medieval 2 now. Years ago i played one campaign and then forgot how to manage anything.

Pharaoh: You like poor quality products with lipstick plastered on them.
Attila Fan: you thought Dark Souls should have been an strategy game.
Smooth combat style he says, while clicking the automatic combat button 😕
It is rather smooth button.
Actually it is the only total war game where i can't into combat. Units are working unintuitively for me, cavalry dies against some archers, etc. And sieges. Why anybody would build a castle, if walls just do not exist in a functional sense. Walls just suffer in their misery.
Maybe i need more time to adapt. Few years more.
Doesn't get smoother than that
Barbarian Invasion: You are either a masochist or a sadist
Aw man he forgot about that one.
Or both
That one was brutal.
Ok, this is a pretty neat concept
Really like how thought out the correlations between personality and favorite game
You got my view on Empire down perfectly lol
Damn. The Attila one describes me perfectly. Lets not talk about what gets my rocks off eh?
Their reasoning was that since the Warhammer map is similar to what they want the Empire map to look like, and the different races tests how well they could implement giving cultures and empires their own unique unit trees.
shogun 2: why the hell our ashigaru and samurai have to climb the castle wall by their hands?
As a paradox and total war fan, the description for Napoleon fans is spot on for me
Rome II as stress-free? I've played nearly every title that came before that game and I can honestly say I've never felt as stressed in a Total War game as I had playing Rome in Rome II.
Loved playing Pontus tho, until I lost the save file
Emprire Total War
You love artillery so much that you can't put other than that in an army.
Rome 2 : wants to be dominated
Atilla : will dominate you
Warhammer : WAAAAH

*screams in the game only running on one core*
This man just predicted the future (total war rome remastered)
(Eastern factions = best factions in TW games)
I guess I'm in the minority because I genuinely think Rome 2, Attila, and Three Kingdoms are the best TW games to date. Empire's too buggy, Napoleon's too small, and Shogun 2 is great but imo feudal Japanese history is super boring.
The original Medieval Total War. Something about the game just plays so well. And I'm not old...lol.
Ambient is perfect in that game, everything looks kinda dark, but colours are bright, all sounds are perfect, just excellent game, also I like chess style of campaign, I want mtw1 remastered, with everything same, just better graphics and way more provinces and factions...
Empire Total War: You like Spiderman
Atilla: You like WWZ.
Ok, you got me.
...I like spiderman :(
Why does this make sense?
When you win a defensive siege against a full stack with just your garrison by careful use of heavy infantry, missile management, and that critical charge with your one unit of cav. 😎
If they give Medieval 3 the love and care they gave to Warhammer 2, it will definitely be worth the wait since Med 2. I hope it's the next game after Warhammer 3.
I’m one of those freaks that love empire, because it’s got Poland as a developed faction (in medieval 2 it’s a boring campaign)
@Generic Name exactly it’s boring, factions like France have to keep fighting other major catholic factions and be unfairly treated by the pope while factions like Byzantine struggle to keep order when expanding because of faith, whole Poland just goes east and game done
@Generic Name fair fair
You called Rome Remastered
Shogun 2: Or your name is Volound
Initially my favourite was Attila, for the reasons you stated.
At the time I only had Rome 2 and Atilla, I preferred Attila because of its combat and its challenge (strange thing to say but Atilla has a somewhat functioning morale system)
Eventually I went to the older titles and got Medieval 2 and it has been my favourite ever since.
"What your favourite mod says about YOU?" next?
*Total War Saga: Troy*
You grew up playing an old turn-based strategy game set in mycenaean Greece and are clinging to whichever games or mods can fulfill this niche of yours.
"Empire Total War: you love what it could have been, while violently hating what it ended up being"
All I wanted was a gunpowder-era Total War that wasn't buggy as hell (Empire) or painfully limited in scope (Napoleon).
At least we have Darthmod.
also:
"Thrones of Brittania: you either really like sieges or you've never heard of Medieval II Kingdoms"
You're so right
britannia is like a more polished attila with better mechanics, but a painfully limited scope
Rome 2 with Divide Et Impera, I’m so sorry everyone
Right there with you, buddy.
Napoleon is pure Genius tho.. Go buy Napoleon TW, play the Campaign of the Coallition as Prussia, Russia, England, France ... play Online. Then go watch the movie WATERLO 1970 ... I promise you will cry when he says his last goodyby eto the OLD GUARD.. The Music, the formations, the love for Patria . My first Total War was EMPIRE then Shogun and then ROME 2 and Medevil 2 but once I got Napoleon.. it was PERFECTION!

But once I picked up NPTW in 2016 for like $10 ..it was magic.
Man, all CA has to do is combine EMPIRE MAP,Factions , Economic system and just use Napoleons mechanics and it would be the perfect game. ..Plus add the Americas like the Iriqouis ( Tecumseh) and uff.
I agree 100%
I love shogun 1 and medieval 1, actually I'm a M1TW modder, but my favourite is Medieval II with TATW...
Rome 2 is my favorite because of the DeI mod, it feels like the game I wanted it to be: complex, realistic, historical, difficult, vast and strategic!

So, now I'm stuck playing Paradox games, but I still get that itch to command troops in the field.
even the new paradox games are lackluster
it's sad
Well you’re right about me being stubborn
Got stuck with SS 6.4 and Roma Surectum 3, never moved on. Never got the feeling I miss out, until recently. Now I want to try Shogun 2
Do it
4:37 "You get pleasure out of weird stuff" pretty accurate ngl

It's funny seeing the Rome remaster joke today.
Maybe we are just masochists, who knows.
description of napoleon players blew me away, youre a genius and read my mind
I'm a simple man, I see Total War, I hit like.
Where's Legend's comment?
Also I am just a Rome 2 player because of Divide Et Impera, makes for a grindy campaign map and hard battles... because history i think???

I'm in denial too.
That rome 1 remastered meme aged like a fine wine.
"Warhammer makes me hopeful" laughs in warhmmaer 3
I thought you were going dirty when talking about Attila LOL
Goddamit you got me 100% portrayed with the Medieval 2 and Napoleon Total War, I feel so exposed :D
Empire gets a bad reputation, I like it more that medieval 2 because it is cleaner. I deal with more bugs in Rome and medieval 2, while not being as small as Napoleon and more unique factions than shogun 2 and newer
Europabarbarorum, Divide et Impera, and Ancient Empire fan over here!" ;)
It’s between med 2 and Rome 1 for me
Three Kingdoms: You've played A LOT of Kou Shibusawa games and this finally convinced you to give PC gaming a try.
Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything.
Shogun 2-FOTS: you like to massacre sword wielders with your very advanced gunners and machine guns.
I can tell you about my favorite Total War game, but my favourate Total War game has been a matter of mystiry and speculaition since anceint times.

As a kid growing up my favorite was Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion. Now as an adult my favorite is Attila Total War.
@Matsudo Ambition That’s actually an excellent way of looking at it, very astute observation.:)
Well now I am going to play barbarion invasion remastered
Those for rome and medieval 2 are accurate to me
Med2 and Rome2. Yes I fell down the stairs as a child how did you know?
I like Empire and thrones of Brittannia...........
Need I say more?
For me, it changes from
Medieval II
Empire
And Rome II
Depending on my mood I would say one is my favorite over the others and is heavily influenced by the setting.
Some times I jus want some medieval action and go crusading for a while.
Or maybe I want to rolplay as the polish trying to survive during the 18th century
¿Expand the frontiers of Rome? ¿Reclaim the old empire of Alexander? Uh, yes please!
I remember the first time i saw medieval total war in a pc club , i watched for 30 min went out to buy some popcorn and when i returned back offered to the player and asked him to explain the game for me .
Loved Napoleon, now I own almost every (latest) edition of the paradox games... ya so... scary accurate...
Rome 1 and Attila of course
Whenever I get back to playing it, time after time I realise that Shogun 1 is still a very, very solid and complete game. Who gives a damn if the armies are still 2D... the tactical options a correct use of terrain offers still fully convince me to this day.
Hehehe OPenis I know you were saying OPness but still
I personally don't really have a favorite total war game; but, I do have to say that I really like the trading system in total war troy.
People who started playing Shogun 1 when they were 8 years old are now 50, let that sink in
It released in 2000, so they would only be around 30 XD But still, pretty old
Is this the new BuzzFeed but all about the total war franchise?
This is Scary how accurate this is.(I like Rome 2 and Med 2)
Empire Total War: Land battles suck but man those naval battles are tight.
Rome 1 and
Empire (This 1 pretty much as you said. I just wish there was a Restore Ally feature rather than having to let it rebel, then get ceasefire and alliance back, and diplomacy was more balanced. How is it fair that I take 2 cities and become hated when the AI does it and it hardly changes their rep?)
"...but chances are, you have mostly moved over to Paradox" ... hello it's me! :D
You perfectly catched the tastes of these games and how there talk to us.
After many years i grew to appreciate rome II. The politics is intriguing. The battle seems a bit arcade at times and i really don't like the army limitation... But well can't have anything. Attilla is great but very intense. As having grown up with rome and barbarian invasion is difficult to surpass the og!
Excellent video as always
