Thanks for this tutorial! I was wanting to make a purse I saw on Instagram with the half hitch! I’d like to share with you to see if this is the way I would start off creating my own version of course of the purse
The dowel is 9” long and the whole thing is about 12” long from the dowel to the bottom of the fringe. The actual knotted part is about 3 1/2” long from the dowel to the bottom row of knots.
Hola.. Cómo se hace la fila adicional de FRANCES hacia atrás para darle más volumen al flequillo (tuve que buscar en internet la traducción).. Me podría explicar cómo se hace.. Gracias
Thanks for a great tutorial. I cut the cord pieces according to your instructions but after completing the rows as shown, I have ended up with fringe pieces that are more than 25 inches long. On the basis that you answer in one of the comments that your wall hanging is approx 12.5 inches long I wonder if I have done something wrong. It seems a waste to cut off so much cord. Thanks
Hmmm. I’m terrible at math so I typically just eyeball things and then measure it to see how long it is so I can make it into a tutorial 🤣 I know that ropes for the first few rows will need to be the longest because they’ll have the most knots- I guess the best bet would be to decide how large you want it to be, estimate the amount of rows it will need, decide if you want fringe hanging down and then go from there. When in doubt I typically cut my rope 8x the desired finished length (if the rope is going to be folded in half and tied with a larks head knot). I also have a lot of pieces of rope in my random macrame off-cuts bag, but I use them eventually 🤪 I hope that helps, I will do a large scale version of this eventually and then I’ll be able to tell you for sure!
Ahha. Wondered how to do the half circle. Great simple tutorial! Thanks Crystal 😊
This piece came out beautiful! The tutorial was simple to follow.
Beautiful
I'd like to make this on a larger scale. How do I go about figuring out the lengths of rope I need? This is my biggest challenge. Thanks!
I'd like to make it bigger too, could I just add more pieces of rope?
I just kept adding more pieces of rope. Just have to make sure your dowel is longer than stated.
I used a 12 inch dowel. Used the same pieces she used for a total 9 rows and it looks great.
I can’t wait to try this thanks!
Excellent video. Thank you.
Super 👌 👍
so beautiful! thank you for the tutorial, it came out so nice!
I’m so glad to hear that!!
Love this do you have any rough measurements for a larger one please I've made this before learnt off your video
To make this larger could I multiply the number of cords time 3? Would that work out ok? Or would I need to lengthen them as well?

good job
Tq for your tutorial ..I love to make one.... What's your finished size ?
Hi, very good tutorial. How long is the finished product? and How long is the dowel? I don't see the information anywhere. thanks very much.

How many strings would I need for a 12” dowel?
Is the cord lengths in inches or cm?
Inches 😊
How is the dowel being held?
hi,are you saying 94,and 63 inches? thank you
Yes that’s right 😊
thank you@@MarchingNorth
Largo de las cuerdas. Esencial para poder hacerlo
The rope lengths are in the description

I run into this too. However I have discovered that the filler cords wind up being much longer.
👏🌺🥰🤗🙏
What are the dimensions of macrame?
