Chris Rupp (group co-founder who left for other things in May 2016) has his own channel (ChrisRuppOfficial) and several of his videos there will follow one video and give background on it. For instance, the ladies in this video were hired through a modeling agency his sister Tristin Rupp used to work for. Chris and Tristin make up 1/2 of a group called 7th Ave and their video for Uptown Funk is a joy to watch. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer of the group, although all the guys are also talented in that area (see 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown -- the first one with Chris, not Chance, has better lighting). In the first Home Free Drum Solo video Adam is in the red plaid shirt. After that one check out the several ones dated 2021 & 2022 to see how much he's improved and how his style has changed a bit.

He pulled his brother Adam Rupp the beatboxer in. This is the group that were on the TV show The Sing Off and won. When Chris Rupp decided to leave in 2016 Adam Chance took over baritone. They usually call him Chance so he doesn't get confused with the beatboxer. The other guys are Rob Lundquist lead tenor beard and glasses, Tim Foust bass dark haired and Austin Brown sky high tenor long curly haired. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

The group originated in Mankato, MN. At this point three of them grew up in the deep South - Tim is from Nederland, Tx, Austin is from Tifton, GA, and Adam Chance is from S Alabama (I maybe should know the town, but can't bring it to mind). Adam and his brother (Chris is in these early videos) are from Mankato, Rob is also from Minnesota. Chance lives in the LA area now, Tim and Austin live in the Nashville area. If you watch their Road Sweet Road video, the beginning is pretty autobiographical for Tim.

I love all four of them, but Sea Shanty Medley and Country-Fried Pop are definitely my #1/#2 out of those four. The first three I mentioned all have Chris Rupp (founder of Home Free and driving force behind the group for 16 years - he left the group to pursue other interests in 2016 and was replaced by Adam Chance (4+ octave range, sang bass in a previous a cappella group, Street Corner Symphony) and Sea Shanty Medley was definitely his baby. The coolest part (for me) with the Sea Shanty Medley is that it was done during the pandemic, so each of the guys recorded their parts totally separately, but the outcome is nothing short of phenomenal!

In the HH Medley, they sing a portion of I Want Crazy, which was their finale song for the Sing-Off. Oh, for some really early songs, try Season 4 of the Sing-Off (individual songs with judges' comments as opposed to the video compilation). Ring of Fire, Sing-Off version, is definitely a showstopper (the judges even gave a standing ovation).

I am newer to your channel and a big fan of home free. The only member that left is chris Rupp and adam chance joined you are just seeing younger and older versions of the same guys. There is Tim Foust, adam Rupp, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Chance and some of them also do solo like Tim and Austin on their own channels. Hope this helps a little

There's an interview with Chris Rupp (on y/t) wherein he says that this was his pet project. In summary, his sister had worked with a modeling agency and that's where the women were from. Since they didn't want to objectify the women, the only 'butts' are theirs. The man in the one-shoulder overalls is a friend of Rob's and is in other videos as well as co-hosting on Rob's channel.
P.S. -- The founders (Chris & Adam Rupp) are from Minnesota - so is Rob (beard & glasses). When Chris left, Adam Chance (from Alabama) joined. Austin is from south Georgia; Tim is from southeast Texas.

I am newer to your channel and a big fan of home free. The only member that left is chris Rupp and adam chance joined you are just seeing younger and older versions of the same guys. There is Tim Foust, adam Rupp, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Chance and some of them also do solo like Tim and Austin on their own channels. Hope this helps a little

There's an interview with Chris Rupp (on y/t) wherein he says that this was his pet project. In summary, his sister had worked with a modeling agency and that's where the women were from. Since they didn't want to objectify the women, the only 'butts' are theirs. The man in the one-shoulder overalls is a friend of Rob's and is in other videos as well as co-hosting on Rob's channel.
P.S. -- The founders (Chris & Adam Rupp) are from Minnesota - so is Rob (beard & glasses). When Chris left, Adam Chance (from Alabama) joined. Austin is from south Georgia; Tim is from southeast Texas.
