Thanks for the tips. Maybe I should start doing some tutorials myself instead of wasting dozens of hours to make an edit I'm proud of that won't hit the algorithm lol. Ironically, I've noticed that the edits I make in a few hours with no effort are doing better than those I spend days on and I'm proud of. Just saying, I guess when it comes to video editing consistency is better than quality cause you may like your edit but others might enjoy a few random clips with shakes and a trending song more :)
completely relatable. i think spending less time + having as much fun as possible is the best combo. not only do you save time, but you're also not limiting your creativity to a single project. algorithms really suck sometimes too, which can be demotivating!
Ive been trying to make money from editing for about a year right now, but i just cant get people to buy, or request edits/tutorials, im not quite sure how to advance. But its good knowing that my favourite editor actually makes a "living" from editing. Good job Mr.Enger

@@noirbebop NO WAY WHAT? so you could have potentially made... hundreds more? from a simple edit? even with the risk of a copyright claim? i thought it would be less than $100 considering the duration too.
@@TheNamesEnger yeah, i was actually in disbelief when i turned on monetization tbh and about the copyright, the vids monetization is actually sharing revenue through copyright too so i don’t know how exactly that works but 1st, at least its not a claim and 2nd, it could probably be more if that wasn’t the case which is crazy to me

unfortunately i do not make a living at all from editing. it's just a little side hustle. but the goal is to change that!
