Gloves come in handy for spot and stalk hunting also. The mechanics style ones help with everything that tries to stick you.

Good luck on your archery pronghorn hunt in Wyoming there Trail. It is a dream of mine as well to do the same thing, or hunt them in general. I know that I need to get in shape regardless, but I was thinking that pronghorn would be a fantastic intro to Big Game Western hunting for someone like myself. Plus they are beautiful, interesting and unique animals. My goal is to hunt them in every state that I can without having to hire a guide if I can. I was hoping to figure out a mule deer and pronghorn combo hunt since I can only go once a year if that, but with circumstances I have to put that off a year. Since I am an INSIDER I will definitely be trying the BETA of the GoHunt Maps and I am in Wyoming looking around 3D, etc.... I know that since I only have 2 points that I will have to deal with checkerboarding issues especially for the pronghorn areas so this will help do that E-Scouting all in one place for no additional cost. Talk about VALUE.
I have heard of decoys that one can attach to their bow and flash them when they need to or walk behind them as they put on the stalk. I just got on UltimatePredatorGear.com and they had their version of that and it folds up and only weighs 8 oz. The other would be HeadsUpDecoy and it looks like it mounts better, but not sure if it will work with your long front bar on your bow. Just something to check out if a friend can't come and you are going solo.

Sitka makes great gear. It is a little pricy but it lasts for years.

Is that Sitka’s million dollar bundle?

What is the weight of your arrow and do you change arrows based on game - lighter for antelope, heavier for elk? Thank you for sharing your gear and best of luck in Wyoming.

Finished arrow weight is 447 grains. It's a gold tip platinum pierce 300 with factory components and a 100 grain broadhead. I'll hunt with a mechanical for antelope just to reduce wind drift. For mule deer and elk I'll be using a fixed blade head... likely a slick trick standard 100 or a QAD exxodus.

Good video, what’s a comparable tripod to the 1204xl? That one is discontinued and I’m wanting something very similar in height. Bad back doesn’t let me sit for long so I need to stand.
    Thanks

The SLIK CF 634 would be comparable, max height of 63" and weighing in at 2lb 2oz. Another would be the SLIK 733 with a max height of 66" and 2lb 9oz.

How do the shoes feel when you come across all the cactuses we have in Northern Wyoming?

Man, that's a good question and I know the ones you are talking about. Might have to through in an extra pair of all leather boots too!
