Making a Vegan Wedding Cake - Maine

- This week I am making a wedding cake for a very special lady, so I am inviting you along for the ride. The wedding was in the beautiful state of Maine, all the way on the coast. It was a gorgeous setting. Since this was so close to where I live, I was able to make the cake at home and deliver it, which made things much easier.

So these past days I've been trying different carrot cake recipes and trying to make a Veggie Burger from scratch. It's been quite fun.

A very pretty cake. I thought the flowers were a lovely touch. (I'm sure you used organic flowers so there were no chemicals added, just a note for anyone else reading to remember to use food-safe flowers and chemical free ones.) It didn't mention who's wedding it was, I hope they were happy with everything you did. Blessings!

Doesn't the flowers effect the taste of the cake since they been in contact with the cream and cake
Great question! I wrap the flower stems in floral tape to keep them from touching the cake directly.

@@ChefAni Thank you for replying! By the way I did make that cake except for the raspberry toppings and the frosting. I used buttercream frosting and did it for a friend's birthday. And boy it was another winning recipe from you. Her family loved it and they said they had half the same evening and a little at a time for the remaining days. Thanks very much!
