mitten. whats your view on fans buying the major shareholding= 150,000 fans paying 17.3k each to get 50 percent of shares and controlling interest. ineos/ratcliffe paid 1.3 for his 25%..
Respect Andy for being a classy journalist. Not like the rest of these glory hunters
Spot on
Best United fan voice , Andy Mitten keep up the good work. United!!
Genuinely well chuffed Erik is staying. It doesn't take a genius to see the man has the capacity to bring this club real success 🎉
Couldn’t agree more, feels weirdly fresh, so looking forward to this summer. Good on Erik.
None of you appearantly saw a United match last season? It was torture.
@@Mr.Monta77apparently you missed the FA Cup final when we had most of our injured players back
@@Mr.Monta77
It was a times, yes. He's no void of blame for some of the results/in game decisions but the amount of injuries he had to deal with was ridiculous. Also the drop in standard from some of our 'better' players is on them.
Big clear out needed this summer. Let's get behind the manager!
@@5on-of-Fire Got lucky against City does not make up for the worst season in history. Besides we were outplayed and dominated by City through the game. Got lucky with the defender mistake but this is NOT evidence of anything but a one good game. Have you forgotten all the other miserable games under TenHag? Injuries does not excuse a lack of system and inability to make players perform better. It is HIS job to make them play. Obviously that’s his strength. Hopefully will be better next season though I don’t believe in miracles.
I can keep my Erik Ten Hag coffee mug now! Chuffed, optimistic, and this feels more forward looking!
The sneeze at 5:44 made me look around the room in shock as I was home alone😂
haha same

Thank you Andy for delivering Man Utd news in a nice, calm, well-balanced way. Not many others doing that!
Great news that Ten Hag is staying. It was always going to take time to sort the mess out….and now he has that.
Need to sort out the coaching staff. Need to sort the medical team. And most importantly sort out the recruitment. And i am sure next season will be positive. The players needs to stop hiding behind Glazers and manager. They need to turn up or go find another club.
Happy with the decision! Now the real job begins under (hopefully) a sound structure
As a united fan never felt ten hag was the reason we regressed and there were so many injuries and hardly any continuity. You have been the only reporter i remember who had been so respectful of his achievement. Thanks and genuinely happy for erik..
Those of us old enough to remember how long it took SAF to mount a title challenge and to change the culture know that ETH is on the right track
100%
Thrilled to bits that he staying, particularly given he is the 2nd most successful PL manager in terms of trophies, since he joined us.
Excellent.. I'm delighted he's been given another chance
Andy, you've been the shining light of optimism we needed as Man United fans, and the voice of reason and optimism amidst the toxic negativity surrounding Ten hag and our season in general. Credit to you for being the most down to earth and professional reporter all season long.
I disagree with the comments about the injuries and the full squad. Ten Hags side suffered with over 60 injuries last season. He never really had a full squad. The closest thing to a full squad was against Wolves, where United played them off the park until Ten Hag had to make subs. And of course, in the FA Cup final. Where we beat the best team in england.
I hope your community outgrows most journalists out there. No bias in what you do. Thank you.
" Bless You" to whoever was sneezing🙏
Yes Andy. Let’s go! UTFR 🇾🇪
You might be the only United journalist I respect
Best Man Utd channel by far ! Deserves more subscribers
Am so happy we are keeping him
I wouldn't go mad with the length of the extension..12/18months. Your poll after the cup final was obviously in the afterglow of a surprise and great win. What would have the result been after palace away? Injuries definitely had an impact. I hope he gets utd challenging for top 3 next season.
Andy, enjoying your videos, I am so glad that Erik is staying! Best news ever!
Andy Mitten is the man been at this for a long time now! used to get the magazines years ago when i lived in Salford, keep up the good work 👏
I bet 80% of the poll respondents were Liverpool, City or Arsenal fans heheh. Just joking. So glad he's still with us. I was a little disappointed with some decisions through the season, but hey. Look at what he had to deal with. 2 cups in 2 years = pretty, pretty good
I've never been as undecided. A manager who gets to three finals and wins two has something about him but he gave us two weekends of bliss and eight months of pain last season (yes, there were injuries and because of the injuries he should have be more defensive and fill the hole in the middle). Ineos has to do everything it can to work against his shortcomings - tactical stubbornness, falling out with players, too heavy running at practice (can't have helped with injuries)
I'm fine with the rest of your issues, "but running too much?" Are you taking the piss? City players don't compare about RUNNING TOO MUCH, NOR DO ARSENAL, They are the two best teams in England and City play the most games in a season almost every year. HAVE SOME BLOODY STANDARDS
Marcus Rashford get's paid 350k a week, LEARN TO BLOODY RUN MORE OR PISS OFF, SAME FOR ALOT OF THE LEAKS WHO ARE EASILY IDENTIFIABLE
I don't see Pep changing tactics because Kdb and rodri were injured.
Is this what we call looking the bright side of life. Unprecedented 8th in PL. 30 attempts by Brentford and utd playing like a wee team. All sits at the back vs Liverpool. Losing 4-0 to CRY, out of group stage and last of the group in CL. Spent £420m buying rubbish players. How and what hope will Eth bring to Utd.?
@@priyanshuhazra8644it's not about standards. Something was very wrong to cause that many injuries. We've never had that many in our history.
'Running too much' might not be exactly correct, but training and recovery time needs to be managed carefully, if it isn't and ten hag insists on playing high-energy football, that will lead to fatigue injuries. This was never addressed until April and that's what has some fans worried. Blaming the players doesn't cover it, they didn't give up on Ten Hag and continued to try and do what was asked, they simply weren't fit enough to do it.
I am buzzing Andy. Buzzing.
Thanks Andy! You're the one of the very few voices real fans care about
Its not the losing games that matters Andy, anyone can lose games, I think its the HOW.
We need to see an improvement in how we play. No more half pressing and hug gaps in midfield, that is the first thing that has to change. If Erik feels he needs more athletic defenders and midfielders for that then get him some more.
Either way it has to change otherwise we will be in the same boat.
Thank you for your content as usual, a great take!
Very good decision but the length of time was concerning
Absolutely delighted that ETH stays. Dear Andy, please next time when you interview him tell him how we fought for him. We really did )))) Andy, thank you for being objective. You are doing good job and united fans appreciate your work 👍🏻
I think it's positive news that he's staying. However, the injury situation worries me. Just because it's close season doesn't mean that all injuries get reset to zero and we start again. Plus, hopefully our internationals all get through the Euro and Copa America unscathed.
Buzzing for Hag! Huge changes next season are needed though… anything like last season I fear he’ll be gone by Christmas
Happy with the decision. Surely we can't have the injuries we had last season?
A centreback and a striker are imperative. Any others are a bonus. Getting rid of a few is also needed.
Yours, Mr Bleeding Obvious.
Love it ❤ Top 4 next season & more trophies under our Glorious Leader ... Erik 😊. Just keep it tight at the back! GGMU
Hey, you are dreaming. Hope you don’t get a very rude awakening come next season.
Right decision, wrong way to go about it
Let Ten Hag get on with the job he’s achieved miracles with this squad 3 finals 2 trophies 2 consecutive seasons in European football Ferguson didn’t get near that in his first 2 seasons
Great stuff Andy. Enjoy Malta. And let's hope for better and an injury free pre season
Fingers crossed that they give him players to strengthen the squad. He's the right man for the job.
Thank you for your integrity, fact-checking and on BS journalism, Andy. One of the few journo's I still have ample respect for, in a world dominated by clickbait, rumors and overall non-factual biased reporting.
The feeling of relief last night when I heard ETH is staying. The club has ignored the clear feeling of the fans against anyone else taking the job. Our youth players will continue to come through as ETH will do as he did at Ajax and first and foremost all united fans love to see our own make the first team.
Totally agree Andy. All we can hope for is EtH can get players in that work out. You rightly say there is always pressure.
Best decision has been made, give him next season with a full fit squad and we go from there
Very measured and balanced opinion, Andy! I did want him out due to the players he recruited, but I hope he has learned from his mistakes and is worth backing for next season.
Very happy that Ten Hag will continue as our manager 😊
You are a good man Andy.
For me erik ten hag deserves to stay to target premier league title and european trophies, to continue the good work of discipline, game plan, he started in manchester United. He needs good players in the center back, good midfielders and Goal scorer
Cheers Andy . I'm glad he is staying . A ton of work to be done on all fronts . ETH was the most positive person in the club last season .
I was honestly so worried we were about to hop on the manager merry-go-round again just to find another person who would be scapegoated after a single bad season irrespective of mitigating circumstances. Erik isn’t perfect but enough was working against him last season that I believe he can show his quality next year. GGMU!
He showed his genius at Ajax. And even here he showed he can win cup competitions. I would never underestimate this. There are many coaches who play nice football but always always fail in cup competitions. Even good coaches often don't have this special edge, of always seeming dangerous: Wenger was abysmal in the Champions League overall. Mancini, before he won the Euros, was terrible both at Inter and ManCity in the CL.. Ten Hag is by far the best option available atm imho for this sharp dangerous aspect that he has. He's always good for something special, that sharp edge you need to win.
The hard work starts now. The window opens on the 14th and with the Euros player movement is going to be under a microscope. INEOS need to back ETH and just sell unwanted deadwood while bringing in players who fit his style of play.
Your comments are sensible..I concur with the points. Still a lot to sort for ETH..
The only video I’ll watch in Andy’s
Good luck for next season ten hag you deserve 1 or 2 more seasons after beating them lot 🔥🔥🔥
Mr Reliable Stadium Chaser… the legend that is Andy Mitten 🫡
I have LOVED watching his style of football for 18 months now. The most beautiful football since Fergie!! 💪🏼👏🏻👏🏻
what? lol hasn’t been a consistent style of play lol so many injuries and underperforming players…. never have consistency
Delighted
The club made the correct decision in letting Erik carryon with the job. Looking forward to this next season and what the transfers will look like.
Excellent Andy I am new (fan since pre Munich) and impressed.
Brilliant Andy, enjoy Malta
Well said!!!U r the best commentator!!!
Top United journalist and also has the best job in the world 🎉
Smart by INEOS. No need to make such a huge decision when Barrada and Ashworth are still both on gardening leave and ETH being so popular with the support. Personally, I'm well happy he's been given at least another year.
The right decision however he made decisions and provided a standard of performance that put himself up to be questioned. Genuine issues to deal with plus no credible alternatives. New contract will make sure the players understand he’s the manager with power but a positive start is the key to putting this issue to bed and have a great season finally moving Utd forward.
Andy is a legend
Unlike this fake United fan Ogden
Enjoy our sunny island, Malta, Andy!
Great points all👍🏽the players have gotten away with murder for quite some time. Sort out recruitment yes, by showing the door to half the whole team and get in some and move some youngsters up! If we get in a few before we clear out, I fear it would be more of the same. Hopefully PFR/FFP takes care of that
Great video Andy ,,, 100% rather Ten Hag than Gareth Southgate …. What United fan doesn’t want him to succeed …. Recruitment massive this summer along with a good start will be just as important.. k stand again for next season .. bring it on !!
I always buy utd stand best fanzine on market Andy journalism one of best and those work on it
5:45 bless you 🤧
The right call.
2 trophies in 2 season after United going 6 years without a trophy before Ten Hag arrived cannot be ignored. Yes there must now be a big improvement in the league next season. He has to learn from mistakes he made last season. But he deserves 1 more season.
6 years, lol ok
Great sensible decision
So glad they've stuck with ten hag.. now INEOS need to back him.
general comment about the situation not aimed at you. I dont thnk ineos needed to make any statement. There have been alot of people talking and suggesting they needed to, which just feeds the media/socia media speculation/narative, and feeds the monster so to speak. Just because the media say something - Utd dont need to justify their stance. And an other thing - whilst we Utd fans wanted ETH to stay, Ineos again have done the right thing. There needed to be a process and a review of the season - and ETH shouldnt feel he has achieved enough. There must be constant pressure to achieve what we want to, and without the pressure we wont get there. cheers
Spot on Andy - and as you say if he loses three on the bounce it will be Ten Hag out. I think with ineos though now that they have considered and gone with ETH they will stick with him for the longer term.
The right decision despite the public courting of other candidates which I found a little distasteful. But INEOS can do what they want I suppose.
I now want to see transfers in and out done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Perfectly happy to see mostly younger, less expensive, future stars recruited at moderate fees rather than big stars with the possible exception of Joao Neves who I personally think we should go all out to buy.
ETH staying was the correct decision ❤
This will end in tears. Last season was humiliating, disgusting and unacceptable. An F.A. Cup win doesn’t cancel out 9 months of shit. Let’s not forget we scraped our way to the cup final itself against a lower division team. Erik can’t hide behind injuries like it’s a magic shield, the pool of players he was able to call on were all internationals not amateurs. Erik himself was accountable for many of the issues. I’ll edit this post and re-post if, further down the line, I’m wrong about Erik however, I don’t think I’ll be eating humble pie. He has my support in the meantime of course because for now he’s a red but he’s not the man who’s going to bring us back to where we feel we belong. He’ll be gone next summer.
Glad he’s staying. The football needs to change. Hope Erik can change it.
If last season was to be our worst season under ETH I’ll take it, finishing 8th with scraping up 11 players most weeks and an FA win not be be sniffed at !!
Great discussion again Andy, C’mon United
Let Erik focus on coaching, allow Jason Wilcox and Matt Hargreaves to bring the required players in and watch how United become the English Ajax 🙌🏼🏆
I never doubted his position of not being our manager next season and beyond! United never came out and told the world, he was in danger of losing his position! It's all "Claims" or "According too"! I Never listen to gossip, only from the horses mouth, when he or she decides to let people know! In Erik We Trust!
Great that ETH has kept his job ! He must sort out his medical staff ! 6 centre backs and 2 left back out at the same time cannot be allowed to happen again . Winning the Cup has given us some pride back & allowed us to enjoy the summer .Tony the Red .
I’m pleased he’s staying but United need a clear out of some of the playing staff and he needs to show he’s learned from last season and have a much better plan than last season, good luck to him though
My main reservation about ten Hag in the most recent season is that he seemed unwilling to be more pragmatic. I mean, he kept a deep defensive line, but still had the forward five pressing like crazy, leaving a huge hole in the midfield which contributed to all the chances we kept conceding. I noticed, and I know it was reported, that he looked to play a deeper more counter attacking style in the last two weeks of the season. Which coincided with an uptick inform given the players we had available.
If he has learned from this experience and can be pragmatic again, if we end up missing some first choice defenders then I think it’ll be OK. But if he goes back to his dogmatic ways, and we lose a couple of first choice defenders then I can see it going pear-shaped quickly.
I think the safest thing to do is to hold off on any talk of a new contract until January.
he was asked that by neville wud he not change tactics/adapt team to play more defensive but he said to change the style/formation which he was trying to install with team would set players back instead of progressing… read between the lines i think he was implying some players don’t have technical brain or skills to adapt to tactical/positional change ….
Varane was united best defender last season.. I'd off offered a new deal less wages performance related and bin maguire or lindlelof
And bring in Todibo to learn off from Varane
he was offered less wages to stay ….. 200k a week …. instead of the 350k he was getting … he was only starting 50% games each season…. he turned it down…
Great job Andy
I think the biggest issue for INEOS is probably time and Dan Ashworth in the club to work on the strategy. ETH is not Jose and Pep level but he's a proper, proper trainer. I think he can develop the players and young players which is one of the most important criteria for a Man Utd manager. He should continue with United until the board fixed up before chasing the league top 4. The League is all about consistency clearly United didn't have that with injuries no doubt. 2 seasons (his first 2) and 3 finals and 2 trophies plus his win rate is actually not bad! ETH is not as pragmatic as Jose in terms of tactics but he's a proper coach can develop players. He deserves to stay for another year and god please give him proper injured-free players to play!!
Happy for Erik to get at least another season but he does need to address the midfield gaps of last season and have two defensive midfielders shielding the defence when we don't have the ball and move away from inverted wingers that make it easier for opponents to defend against us. Garnacho on the right and give Pellistri another season as back up. Antony or Amad on the left. Service our striker better and be solid in midfield and defence and we finish higher.
Yes its great news. We didn’t make the LVG mistake. Erik Ten Hags Red Army. I think he is genuinely building something with the youth and good recruits. INEOS get the medical dept fixed. Keep Martinez fit and find him a decent partner, we’re in for good times.
Great news
I've been watching goldbridge Jesus that guy likes the sound of his own voice much prefer this page
Class Andy
The right decision for now!
Utd need an awesome striker a real preditor.
Prince Andrew?
CashCowFC continues that's what's now for United.
Frightening with southgate waiting after euros
Ten Hag is building a dynasty
“Even when there was a full Ten Hag side out there” - I know you’re a United expert Andy but when would you say that was exactly?
