Beautiful sounding bass is this new?

Does the hollow body with the f-holes provide enough unplugged sound for casual practice sessions on the sofa without an amp?

When Italia's first appeared about ten (?) years ago, apparently some models had a rather poor reputation for not only quality but build. I believe I read about one model that looked as thought it was about to self destruct... Seems they must have refined their quality control now - this and one other model sound like very good basses with a distinctive sound that has a lot of presence.

    Are the pickups humbucking?

Now you have glasses and a patch on finger. Was there to much playing and reading tiny notes.
