I’m a bass student myself. I’ve been playing for 7 years and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of what there is to know. I sincerely hope to play this piece one day with all the respect it deserves. Your performance is inspiring.
Sensitively played. Very nice. I've rarely heard the double bass by itself and I really like it, Phoebe. Thank you. I came to your site from 'Non-violinist friends try to play the violin'-a very fun and interesting video! Thanks to all of you musicians for bringing such beauty into our world.
Congratulations Phoebe, I leave this comment from Spain. Great intonation, amazing sound and a warm vibrato. I suggest this video to all of my students!
I don't know what to write because other people have already written about your stunning sound, intonation and interpretation. You are real Musician. My best wishes to you.

That made me feel things I've never felt before. Amazing.
Hi, I am from TwoSet. It’s nice and wonderful to meet another dedicated musician…
0:40 is my favorite part
Phoebe - Such wonderful playing, as usual. Impressive; emotional; great tone. That bass is raised!!
The theme at 0:45 always reminds me of Somewhere Over the Rainbow
wow. the double bass hits hard to this song.

Is the piano in orchestral or solo tuning?
Wondering what brand of bass and strings she is using…
Double bassists recommend me some more repertoire like this? I'm just a fretted barbarian, but my ears need more like this.

👏🏽🙏🏾👌🏽❤️
A violin can cry, a cello can moan, but a double bass can sob ...
When you know phoebe from twosetviolin:
Great playing, as always. However, the mix has too much piano. Kind of obscures some of those more subtle (& lovely) bass tones.
Thanks for the tips!
