I grew up a Genesis kid after loving Mega Man on the NES so this fulfills that childhood wish of mine. I was on the fence about getting it but I'm glad I did, it's such a cool thing. Retrobit really put a lot of thought into the box and extras.
They could always release a Mega Man Gems Collection with > Mega Man and Bass (SNES Version), The Wily Wars & Powered Up! Then there's the possibility of a MM Gameboy Legacy & Legends Legacy Collection.
Thanks for the shout out on the Guess the MegaMan bosses names 😂 This is an awesome collection I might have to grab. I had a friend make me a bootleg copy a few years back so I could play this, but this comes with so many cool extras I will have to pick up a second copy
Out of the first 3, Megaman 2 os how I started. I will never forget when Calvin told me Megaman 2 was coming out. I was in the 4th grade and I had NO idea of what Calvin was talking about. He explained about Megaman 1 and I remembered the box art and I was turned off. That summer I went to the video store, rented Megaman 2, and the rest is history. Megaman 3 was the first time I beat Dr. Wily.
FYI next time there is a cool seal like the Mega Man on the top... cut the clear seal on the bottom and remove the box from the bottom of the plastic protector case, leaving that cool Mega Man seal sticker intact! That is what I did with mine. Just a little 8BitGlitch tip for yeah.
Mega man 3 was my first mega man. $79.99 at target back in the day. Begged my poor mom to buy this game for me the whole time at the store… Mega Man 3 for the win for me.
This is the NTSC Version. The slowdown occurs when you try to play an NTSC cart on a PAL system, like when people tried to import the NTSC-J game into the EU.
@@RoXolid yes, I know, I just feel it's to bad that retrobit didn't optimize the pal version to run as smoothly as the ntsc version for the eu audience 😢
@@RoXolid Just getting back into gaming and I'd like to know the best options or your personal way of playing all the retro systems? I currently have an old 36" Sony Wega CRT that I played all my retro systems on.
Man! I want one so bad! 😍 I don't own a genesis anymore but this I've got to have! Lol I might end up getting a genesis anyways just to play it. I've got the mini but I'm just so used to using cartridges that all of my mini consoles are collecting dust.
Thank you for that tip I'll be on the lookout, the retro bit site says that pre-orders had ended unfortunately and doesn't mention of any restocking. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for castlemania
Ahh, remember playing on the Sega Channel back in 94 was it? Definitely nowhere near as good or as iconic as the first two original NES mega man games but it still has it's charm. So i'm guessing there's added latency since this is a reproduction cart or emulation?

Aw, Pre-Orders are already closed
If only someone would have said to pre order in May of last year...
@@RoXolid Well sure, but it's not like you can go back in time and do that.
Ryan says to check the site in March

That's awesome, it's such a good collection
I wonder why this and Megaman & Bass wasn't included in the Megaman Legacy Collection?
Because this was a Genesis not NES release
They could always release a Mega Man Gems Collection with >
Mega Man and Bass (SNES Version), The Wily Wars & Powered Up!
Then there's the possibility of a MM Gameboy Legacy & Legends Legacy Collection.
I'm just thrilled we're able to get them now on original hardware!

Move fast, they're sold out most places right now
The crossover element of the Wily Wars was awesome. Same reason why I love playing Mega Man Maker is the crossover element of all those games.
That's awesome,I'm getting one for sure!!
Move fast, they won't last long!

I think that describes a lot of us from that era, the box on the first game was so bad that it turned many off.
@@RoXolid My brother wouldn't allow me to rent it under any circumstances.

Why was it $80?!?!?;
That was a good review, I enjoyed it.
Waiting for my copy; so damn stoked.
Any word on when castlemania is gonna have more in stock?
Ryan was in the premier and indicated maybe March
@@RoXolid thanks for the info 🙏
Of course
What are your thoughts that Mega Man doesn’t turn and move on a dime but there is that pause as he turns and then goes?
It doesn't play exactly the same as the NES version for sure. In some ways the NES plays more slippery, other times the Genesis is more slippery
The metal blade pause annoys me but its still fun. Like a different experiance
Is this the ntsc version? I heard that the pal version had the 50hz dumpster fire of slowdown
This is the NTSC Version. The slowdown occurs when you try to play an NTSC cart on a PAL system, like when people tried to import the NTSC-J game into the EU.
@@RoXolid yeah, too bad for me cause i am from Europe, got pal over here 😢
They have a pal version as well in the EU. Check the Retro-Bit website for EU partners

I'm still waiting for my 2 pre orders to arrive here in Florida : /
I know with the snow that we've had in the Midwest delivery times have been screwed up the last few days. I haven't had mail delivery since Tuesday
Nice vídeo, thanks dude.
Excuse me Will be possible know the weight of this collector edition?
Don't you play on crt tv?
I do not, I don't own one, don't want one, don't like them

I hear you, this one is really cool
I only see it available on ebay but it's doubled in priced that's a tough bullet to bite on still contemplating it

Just heads up, they made 20,000 of these so don't worry about not getting a copy.
I mention that, but at the same time when you have retailers saying they're already out, I wouldn't sleep on this one!
SOLD OUT❤

No additional lag or latency at all on this.
@@RoXolid
Awesome! Has it been actually tested and confirmed? or just going by feel?
Tested and confirmed, plus remember it's official licensed by Capcom
@@RoXolid
Do you know if the Mega Man & Bass SNES ''FlashbackGames' release as any additional lag?
I'm not Familiar with it, sorry. If it's one of those all-in-one systems, I would pretty much guarantee there's lag
I never played any Mega man games on the original Nes or Sega. I did play it on Snes and PSX.
The NES games are great, mostly
I love mega man 2 but I have more nostalgia for mega man 1.
And for me I think the third game probably ranks highest
I wish I could've purchased one. I have a Genesis mini, so I don't need it
There's supposed to be another batch in March if you still want one.
@@RoXolid I don't have a Genesis. I got rid of everything and just keep the mini system.
@@RoXolid how much are these??
@@Gameboy-Unboxings they were $70
This is sold out everywhere. There's no way to order this at the moment.
More coming to Castlemania Games in March
