Gah! I remember doing this with my reel to reel (in before get off my lawn). The funny thing is the two speeds for a reel to reel are 33ips and 45ips. Those two speeds aren't a true octave from each other, so the guys singing had to sing off key at 33ips so it's sound on key at 45ips.
