as someone whose fave character has been Dalinar from the beginning, Oathbringer completely snatched my wig and i love him even more. i think you'll end up enjoying it! this book is CRAZY.
i just finished the way of kings a couple days ago and wow i totally understand why you and everyone loves the stormlight archive! also love the idea of doing quarterly wrap ups!
For nonfiction about space, I highly recommend Our Mathematical Universe by Max Tegmark! It’s about the multiverse theory and it is so well written!! One of my favorite books of all time (and I’m usually a fantasy and fiction reader).
i really enjoyed Midnight in Everwood, i hope you like it! i’m reading Upon A Frosted Star right now and i’m only about 40 pages in but it is reminding me so much of Erin Morgenstern’s writing and i’m here for it 🙌🏻✨
Shallans story is so good in sa3! Also yes I loved seeing young Dali. I didn’t love sa3 as much as the first two but the overarching story arc across the series is mind blowing. Could have definitely used way way way less travelogue, flashbacks, random side character views. 😭 rip Brando why?! 1000 pages was perfect… Also today is my bday 😁😁😁 thanks for putting the oathbringer video up today hehe 🩷🩷🩷
ahhh congrats on 70k!!! i love ur stormlight archive vlogs sm as i've always wanted to read a cosmere book but don't know where to start. but you make all of them seem so fun!
My goals for the next year is to read 7 books. I'm gonna read them in English (my second language) so I'll actually study the vocabulary and improve my speaking skills through reading out loud and listening to the audio books lol, i hope it works. So, between college and all the reading i need to do for the classes, 7 books feels like a lot. My list is: 1. The hunting of the hill house 2. Solitaire 3. The Hobbit 4. lord of the rings book one 5. LOTR book two 6. LOTR book three 7. Twilight This year I read 7 books as well, but 5 of them were the graphic novels of Heartstopper. I read those in English as well and I also read The Little Prince and No violent comunication in my mother tongue (brazilian Portuguese). It was a good year 😊
Earlier this year I listened to the audio for The Milky Way: An Autobiography of Our Galaxy and it was pretty interesting. It’s a space nonfiction but it’s not super dry, the Galaxy is super spunky and quippy in a way I thought I’d hate but it was cute.
I love your reading vlogs and how long they are. You also share some activities you enjoy like journaling, baking, jewelry making, gift wrapping etc. keep going and happy holidays! 🎉❤
What you did for your The Starless Sea journal spread looked so lovely and fun! I might steal that idea for a spread in my own journal at some point in the future 👀
I do like the idea of quarterly wrap ups, but I feel like I would like it more if you quickly went over all the books you read, and then go in depth about the ones you loved instead of only talking about your favourite books (kind of like how Megwithbooks does her monthly wrap ups but then without the dissapointements section)
New Katie vlog on Friday evening, the best reward after the whole week and as a start of Christmas break. ❤️ I had exactly the same feelings about "Midnight in Everwood", it was interesting at the beginning, but after around 100 is started to be meh, nothing special. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Winnie just being cute 🥰 also, your reading journal is so pretty. Would love to see a flip through if you're up for it. 😅 Wishing you a wonderful holiday season! ❄️
I recently reread Oathbringer and enjoyed it a lot more (I picked up so many more details and hints), but I'm not a huge fan of all the new POVs except Rock and Shen/Rlain, loved them. It had some really slow parts. But the book only gets better and better!
If you’re looking for more space non-fiction I REALLY recommend A Brief History of Black Holes: and Why Nearly Everything you Know about them is Wrong by Becky Smethurst (who is an astrophysicist). It’s very well written, fun and informative at the same time, and I learned so many new things about space and black holes! I don’t usually read much non-fiction, but this one almost read like a novel, and I flew through it so quickly. I think you might enjoy it too! ❤
Have you heard or checked out the Winterhouse mysteries? It's a fun middle grade trio of books about a hotel and mysteries within the hotel. It's fun! I'm on the second book and enjoying it immensely. Also, I've been listening to Mister Magic. It's odd but intriguing.
Im new to your channel so im sorry if i missed it but what/ where is the advent calendar from! Also I just want to say I love your content as someone who is getting back into reading/ journaling 💕
I love how cozy your videos are ! also Katie do you have any tips for getting into fantasy, I tried reading acotar like you recommended to me on instagram (idk if you remember) and I’m just not a fan of feyre even after 80 pages, are there any other books you would recommend or should I still give that one a try, hence I have the whole series already
honestly leigh bardugo’s shadow and bone trilogy, I know it’s not a lot of people’s fav, but it’s a good beginner fantasy. Anddddd it leads to six of crows which is one of my fav fantasies everrrrr
What recap video did you watch? I'd love to watch it to remind myself everything that has happened. Also, my sister had me listen to the song Viva La Vida by Coldplay with Dalinar in mind. Highly recommend. The song could have been written for him.
I absolutely LOVED the first 100 pages of "midnight in everwood" and was sure it'd be a 5 star read. However after she got into Everwood it just got sooooo boring. so it's only 2/5 stars 😭
I also loved Heartstopper Vol 5 and need to read more in the Osemanverse. Also im currently listening to Gwen and Art are not in Love, I dont recommend the audiobook, the male narrator has a very annoying voice he uses. I like the representstion in it so far, it does annoy me when they swear because it doesnt feel like it fits the midevil vibes. But I think I just got to a fail assassination attempt so I'm curious to see how it goes.
can we just appriciate Katie for all the effort that she puts in her videos
YES! i always get so inspired to read and be intentional from watching her videos
i saw the title and immediately needed to watch. katie pushing through stormlight is the solidarity i need 🫡🩷
Do a bookmark collection video, that will be fun

Congrats on 70k! ❤ I love your Starless Sea journal spread it’s so fun!
i just finished the way of kings a couple days ago and wow i totally understand why you and everyone loves the stormlight archive! also love the idea of doing quarterly wrap ups!
I feel that. My hands are naturally shaky too. But what matters is you had fun. I think it looks cute.
I love your vlogs so much! I’m currently rereading The Way of Kings it’s even better on reread.
Just finished Way of Kings, and I’m so so excited to continue the Stormlight Archive ❤
For nonfiction about space, I highly recommend Our Mathematical Universe by Max Tegmark! It’s about the multiverse theory and it is so well written!! One of my favorite books of all time (and I’m usually a fantasy and fiction reader).
A Katie Video a day keeps the depression away ❤
I felt like there wasn't enough Dalinar chapters in the first two books so I'm so excited that this book focuses on Dalinar ☺️
The Travelling Cat Chronicles is a great book if you're wanting to read more translated books. 😊
i really enjoyed Midnight in Everwood, i hope you like it! i’m reading Upon A Frosted Star right now and i’m only about 40 pages in but it is reminding me so much of Erin Morgenstern’s writing and i’m here for it 🙌🏻✨
oh my god your gifts for cass are so great 😅😆
your videos are so cozy and fun to watch, katie, always helps me clear my mind and slow down after a busy day! keep up the great work

Oathbringer is my favorite book in the Cosmere and solidified Dalinar as my favorite character.
The amount of effort you put in every video amazes me🧸🫶

ok so are my just going to ignore the perfection in Katie's wrapping skills? Like girl where can I take online classes for that

I genuinely thought your gingerbread house looked so good!!! ❤ And this vlog had all the best winter vibes 🎄
the enchanted sonata is another really good nutcracker retelling, I loved it!

I’ve started reading strange the dreamer and I fully blame u for this new obsession
happy xmas katie x hope u have a great one 🎉
Midnight in Everwood is a retelling of The Nutcracker. This was a great video. Thanks for sharing!
Love the vlogs. congrats on 70k. I also need to get the newest volume of heartstopper

Katie: it looks really questionable
*Made literally the prettiest gingerbread house I've seen someone make*

what kind of bookshelves do you have? also, i love your vlogs! thanks for posting 🥰
Can you make a video on CLEAN book recommendations for middle grader’s that are slightly more mature but like not too gruesome?(Gr.7&8)❤ thank you!
Lovee ur vlogsss ❤❤❤
You should do poetry slam day for subscribers lol and then read them for people, that would be fun.
Great vlog 📚☕🎄🧑🎄⛄🌨️
Im new to your channel so im sorry if i missed it but what/ where is the advent calendar from! Also I just want to say I love your content as someone who is getting back into reading/ journaling 💕
I tried to dive head first into Brandon Sanderson’s books and got hella confused. Any tips on how to start reading Brando Sando’s books? 😅
he actually has a 'where do i start?' guide on his website!
I highly recommend getting the audiobooks to listen to while you read! It helped me comprehend so much more!!!
start classic with Mistborn!
start with The Final Empire!
Are you going to order the night circus and starless sea from fairyloot in January?
Thats a shame about Midnight in Everwood, I will probably give that one a miss 😅
HAHAHAH frat boy Jace, I can't breaTHE. I love this video ❤

@@brisalovesfontainesdc I’ll read six of crows, not so sure about shadow and bone tho. But it will have to be after I read fourth wing hehe !

This has nothing to do with your video….but you have the most gorgeous eyes I’ve ever seen.
Happy Holidays❤😊
