I see so many big arms remixes that take away the grit and go for a smoother sound and it just doesn't work (unless you're cash cash because the remix from the 3ds version of generations slaps)
Honestly same. With mania, I enjoyed it immensely. But I felt that the boss fights music(mini & main) held no urgency in them like Sonic thru Sonic 3 & Knuckles did.
Jurassic Park's best minor boss remix ever. I'm glad SEGA made this remix for the new game Jurassic Park Dominion, because without it it would be worse, no offense. It is GROOVY.

I recently got sonic mania, and I agree, I miss the intensity of the boss music from previous games!

They were going for the Sonic CD JP Soundtrack vibe. Not the genesis vibe. Also s3 miniboss music isn't threatening or intense at all.

The issue with s&k mini boss theme is it sounds too epic for act 1 mini bosses.

The miniboss theme was literally a callback to MJ's version in Sonic 3, that's why it's not intense
