I don't know what I did but I opened it up scratched up some black stuff on a cable and my monitor worked thank you.

Greetings from South Africa, I've got a Hisense smart tv, backlights not working and if I do the torch test you can see the tv is running in burn mode.any ideas how I can resolve this before I change the backlights. O ps no remote for the tv and thanks for all the informative videos you make

If this doesn’t work, try this. On remote control press up and down arrow once and then press TV power button. Believe me I try all of those little simple tricks and nothing worked. Good luck!!!
Add the same problem so I told everything down and switched off, the power at the wall, and everything is working

My Dell 2716DG has this flashing RGBW issue when I disconnect a signal from the computer. The Factory Service menu (FSM) is also appearing. If I go to the FSM and disable the burn-in option, then power down and power up the monitor. The flashing RGBW problem comes back and the FSM is still available with the Burn-in option checked.
Are you saying this problem is a connector issue within the monitor?

@@graham7378 No, not yet. Taking it apart is a bit fiddly and I’ve just been putting up with it. I’ll try soon though.

I have the dell s2417dg (same monitor but 24in) and I was able to fix it by replacing the main board in the monitor. Works like brand new. Luckily, i was able to find the part off ebay for $50-60 and yeah, taking it apart was a pain in the rear. You need to basically pry it open from bottom and pray that it doesn't break. If you do plan to fix it, make sure you take pictures before taking it apart so you know how to put it all back together.
