A very eloquent and biochemical way of saying that meat is provably most beneficial to humans based on paleopathology and biochemistry, BUT that modern industrialization will now perhaps allow for those who want to skip out on millions of years of data to eat in a way they desire due to said convictions or beliefs contrary to the science of meat sufficiency.
I think this is a good bit of honesty... often lacking among nutrition gurus. What he left out: we don't know all the nutrients in foods yet (see Dr. Jay make this point to Robert Sykes over on Live Savage), and so we should hew to an ancestral diet... which was not vegan.
I can tell you that It doesn't take much protein to gain muscle. I lost 20 lb and gained muscle on a low fat vegan diet based on starch mostly beans and lentils.

Eat both, they are created for human consumption. Limit process food.

So eat real human appropriate food like Real MEAT, or processed inferior trash pants. I’ll take the meat and eggs.
