I love this city. Yes..I’ve been to the overrated Kyiv and it’s a wonderful place. Lviv is just awesome as well. But Dnipro is the first city I met my wife in and have so many amazing memories there. I miss it a lot. I can’t wait to go back there hopefully soon once this corona crap is over and done with. It’s like no other place on earth. I’ve been to some really beautiful places in my time but there’s just something about Dnipro that’s so special to me. I laugh because I asked my wife if she’d ever love to move back to Dnipro someday and live there and she said no way. She hated it there. Sure it’s her home city and I’m glad she enjoys life so much in Canada with me but Dnipro will always have a place in my heart. It rocks so much.
Most of the people who I talk to love it here, but there's this one girl I know who just dogs on it all the time, and I'm like "oh come on, there are a lot worse places in the world than Dnipro!"

Which part of Ukraine is Dnipro? Looks so peaceful and clean, I wanna see more about Kiev
Dnipro (Дніпро) is rather Central Ukraine. In soviet times visiting the Dniepropetrovsk (former name) was forbidden to foreigners because there was the production of strategic nuclear missiles (Yuzhnash plant).
Dnipro is a third city in Ukraine for population (after Kyiv and Kharkiv) but biggest industrial and financial center. Tourists know nothing about it.
This is Russian part, people there speak Russian and miss for Russia

I notice that all Ukrainian cities have lots of parks and trees everywhere. Is this something mandatory? In other words, is it something that the Ukrainian government enforces upon all cities? This is an excellent practice and I almost never see western/eastern European cities having this many parks and such placing where people can sit and relax and enjoy the green atmosphere around them.
Ukraine has a continental climate. This means that in winter it is sometimes very cold (-20-30C), because the Arctic winds, but in summer it is very hot (+ 30 + 35C), because dry hot winds blow from the deserts of Central Asia. 3/4 of the territory of Ukraine is located in the steppe zone. All the trees are planted by people to provide shade. Therefore, in all cities there are parks as a natural protection from the summer heat. In addition, parks are free entertainment and a typical form of social life. "Let's go to the park."
Most of them were created and planted during the USSR times. Now, unfortunately, nobody plants new parks.
@@AlbaLynxQueen The Soviet parks were neglected and dirty. Only after Ukraine’s independence were they cleaned, landscaped and developed to what they are today.

I agree, it's quite aggressive. We don't actually punish children in public, but it's still part of our culture and some people do it that way. We have a slightly different understanding of punishment and I was punished many times as a child and I know for what I believe it was deserved. Here, children do not sue their parents.

It looks ok, so why is so much poverty in ukraine?
because poverty is couture phenomenon. There is a lot of rich people, bt big part populations were born in the Soviet Union, and they don't know how to live differently. the new generation is completely different. in the future, the country has a great potential, because people from Ukraine are very talented and create a lot of new things constantly
War in the east with Russia, how can a country flourish when they took a piece of territory and a war with Russia
First of all, corruption everywhere. Second, a lot of people hide their income and don't pay taxes, hence official stats show that people are poor, but in reality a lot of them have expensive cars and houses but they generate zero income in taxes. Third, huge disparity between rich and poor. People get by and look ok, but transport, roads, infrastructure and medicine are sh*t.
