Why do most americans hate the british accent? It sounds lovely to be honest. And the way they speak doesn't sound rude even when they're being rude and they sound professional unlike some american accents
There is no ONE British accent. And you can sound rude and arrogant or condescending when going for proper pronunciation. Just takes a tiny bit of effort to convey these feelings without talking about them in proper English. Quite the aristocratic achievement. Then there are plenty British Accents that make Southern American sound like posh upper class talk. So there are pretty big differences and it's really not hard to at least dislike one of the many variations of British accents.

@@dora1980 Sorry i'm late in responding She does explain that in the interview , i don't know if it was much later since for people [and i know this as an actor] an accent tends to be set by the time you're 12 so if she was schooled and learned to speak during her early life in England that would explain why her accent is more in a mid Atlantic flavour . which is something i have as well Since i also lived in England and schooled there as well as in Canada . She has a lovely accent in any case and is a lovely woman of course CHEERS .😃
She plays a British character in an early season of Supernatural and I remember watching the show and thinking her accent seemed really bad. Hell, even Craig noticed it's a bit dodgy. But he doesn't push the issue because it doesn't fucking matter. She's a great actress and seems like a wonderful person.
