I remember when the original W219 CLS came out back in 2005 and in terms of design it was a game changer. A 4 door car which was a coupe almost and it was all about the roof line curvature. I bought one back last November CLS 320 CDI for 5k and there was a original sale invoice and it was £58,000 brand new.

6:36 the „Mercedes“ logo is on the same Position of the widescreen in left-hand driven cars. That means you do not see it while driving.

The previous gen cls with the facelift 2015-2017 model was so much nicer than this. Wow.
It looked so badass.
As a CLS driver I think the 2nd gen is pretty bad, but that’s because I have a 1st Gen.
Aiyaphol Kemapuckpong ya, 1st gen was nice but IMO nothing close to the second one especially with the facelift, it looks wayyy more aggressive.
I still cant move on from predecessor model 🙁

It sounds as it should sound for a linear six engines. It's completely silent when you're driving. I have one on my w211 e class 2006 without a single major issue. Only things that need to be replaced. These can last for 1 million KM if maintained properly as it should.
5 stargaming You heard him say in the video that it was one of the quiestest and smoothest diesel when driving. And when he accelerated it sounded great. You can't judge a sound from a video because microphones pick up small nuances. In real life it is much quieter than the equivalent one from bmw and audi. Sooo.

Because the US has no fucking clue about the benefits out of such an engine in "normal cars" and not only in fucking big Pick-ups or "trucks"!
A modern Euro 6d engine is tremendously clean, and in sumn it is even more economically as a fucking EV. You have really no fucking clue, when you demonize the diesel engine!
SJW Maniac in europe theres a war against CO2.. imo diesel is also more harmful than co2..
Americans don’t exactly have good engines so no wonder. Our engines are half the size and more powerful and more economical

Vu Vuong nope it doesn't look good today which is what we are talking about. The first gen looks hideously outdated especially from the front. Well that's a horrible comparison... Obviously it set the trend because it was the first generation... It was the first cls so by definition it would send the trend. That's literally comparing apples to oranges. You can't make that comparison. .. Same reason why to many people.. No Matter how good the second third etc. Version of a movie comes out. People will always prefer the original.

Mercedes quality is a total embarrassment for the price and they’re going downhill with every model year in terms of design. They still make good cars like the S class but most of their models look very cheap and nasty for the price - unlike Audi, BMW and Lexus.

I've just drove all day in one as a courtesy car and this CLS is absolutely awesome. And the 340bhp diesel engine. Oh boy.

Plastic star is for the distronic (cruise control sensors and shit). The one's without distronic has a regular non plastic one.

6 series is the best looking in the class but the interior is out dated
The whole 6series is outdated and can`t really compete with the CLS and A7
it can't compete with the new cls and new a7 because the 6 series is a previous gen car, so you can't really compare them, we have to wait for the next 6 series
