If I could find deals like this I would buy them all day, every day.
I know. I love cheap motorcycles. Thanks for watching.
My favourite motorcycle UA-cam channel by far! Plus, I want to live where you do 😂 A wet and cold UK isn't very appealing today. But I'll be out on my trusty Honda CB250RS soon to register it as a history vehicle at the Post Office 👍
Nick, thanks for the kinds words. There are a few houses for sale in my neighborhood. 😂Thanks for watching.
@motorcyclerewind funny enough we're in Florida next February, but that's a family holiday to Orlando. I would love to live in the USA, but as a Brit it's not so easy. So I'll have to fettle old bikes in my cold UK workshop 😔😁👍
$125 baby!! Lets Go!!
I love cheap motorcycles.
thanks for the promised showing of the soda blaster - definitely worth getting one. for the equivalent of $125 over here, you get just parts, not a whole bike, so you've done amazing with this one 👍
Thanks for watching. The soda blaster cleans everything up nicely.
That's a beautiful bike.Really like the handle
Thanks. Really appreciate you watching.
soda blaster is the one I like best, but I agree the rougher blaster works on really bad grime first, another great post....
It works so good. Thanks for watching.
Maybe I'm old school but I love the looks of front drum breaks over early disc breaks.
JMO
Thanks
I do too!!! Thanks for watching.
Me three! 😂
🔥What a steal! Great find!
The crazy thing. It was listed for $175. While looking at the bike, I asked what he wanted for it? He said $125, I said sold.
Just love this Eric.Wish i lived in the States and can do what you do.Best youtube channel ever.
I have a spare bedroom. 😂
I bought a CB360 in similar condition which was imported from the USA, but I paid £1695 for it!
Firms import bikes like this to the UK and make big profits!
Mine was supposed to be a runner but only ran on one cylinder. The piston rings were seized in the right-hand cylinder!
Really cool motorcycles. Fun to work on. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic video! For all of your newer followers (myself included), I saw your garage door open and would like a tour of all the bikes you currently have! Cheers!
That is something I can do!! Gives me an opportunity to give the garage a good cleaning. Welcome and thanks for watching.
Thank you for the entertainment, I couldn’t stop watching the video 👌🏻 When the brakes I thought you were coming off . Gave me a fright, good reflexs. Yep I owned a CB360 a magic bike and I had a blast on it . Cheers Alan from New Zealand.
Thanks for watching. Love these old motorcycles.
Love the bike! Wish I could find a deal like that closer to home! Thanks for the clutch lesson!
They are out there just have to always be looking. Now worries on the clutch lesson. Thanks for watching.
Reminds me of my old CB400T Hawk. My first bike. Damn I miss her.
Those Hawks were great bikes. Thanks for watching
nice job looks 100 percent better and sounds great love that honda sound you cannot beat it well done mate
This one was fun. Thanks for watching!
Great going, the old girl is up and running 👍 I bet the rubber is really old and offers a fraction of it's new grip, especially on wet roads !
The rubber is hard and flat spotted from sitting. Not confidence inspiring. Thanks for watching.
That my mate is cool 😜
I know. I love cheap motorcycles.
I jumped a little when I almost fell when stopping :)
Me too!!! Thanks for watching!
These bikes are a testament to quality and brilliant engineering. The Japanese had to know the majority of these motorcycles were to be ridden by teenagers with limited to no mechanical skills or money to make repairs. How do I know? I was one of those teenagers in the 60s and 70s. These bikes were everywhere and maintenance consisted of adjusting the chain once in a while and an application of 3 in 1 oil from the kitchen drawer. I cannot recall anyone having an outright engine failure. We rode Japanese enduros which endured every kind of abuse we could throw at them. They always started and got us to where we were going. Day in and day out. I have resurrected numerous garage finds over the years and as we see here, with a little work and TLC, they run once again. I live in the province of Alberta and the climate here is very kind to old machinery. I still pull old bikes out of years of slumber and bring them back to life. Wonderful times back then and to a part of motorcycling.
I totally agree. These old bikes were so well built. Thanks for sharing. I love old motorcycle stories.
The soda blaster works great I need to get one I just run it through a speed blaster. Also that front brake man that looked sketchy good save
It cleaned up so good. What’s a “speed blaster”? Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewind speed blaster is the hand held gun that the abrasive goes right in top of it like a paint gun.
As always, fun stuff. Bike is looking really nice. I enjoy the projects, but unfortunately I’m not selling content to create offsetting revenue to pay for those projects and parts 😁 soooooo I’m living vicariously through you for the time being.
Thanks for watching. Cheap motorcycles are the key. Easy to get in and out of them.
Excellent
I love cheap motorcycles. Thanks for watching.
Turnerned mine into a cafe racer. Got it for free too.
Awesome. I love free/cheap motorcycles. Thanks for watching.
I've had good luck with crushed walnut shells as media
That’s a good idea. I ended up using whatever Tractor Supply had. Will try the walnut shells next time.
Yeah…what a nice project…for 135$! Im crying😅
I love cheap motorcycles. Whatever you do to them is an improvement. 😂
Seems the water sandblaster might work well for inside a rusty gas tank as well.
I bet it would. I would be worried about blowing through a really rusty tank. Maybe soda blast the inside of a tank would be less harsh.
Looking great Eric! What size compressor are you using with your soda blaster? Thanks for your help and keep up the great work:)
It was the biggest cheapest one from Harbor Freight. Here is the link. www.harborfreight.com/air-tools-compressors/air-compressors-tanks/air-compressors/21-gallon-175-psi-oil-free-vertical-air-compressor-64858.html
Thanks so much
@@motorcyclerewind
Thanks for the video. Question: In your video the results using the Harbor Freight Central Pneumatic 40lb soda blaster. I did some research, and that particular model requires 8.5 CFM @ 90 PSI. Two questions, 1. how big is your air compressor and what CFM does it produce? 2. What soda media and grit size did you use?
Your results are terrific so I'm wondering if my following research holds any water.
I thought I would share what I found looking for a solution to remove faded clear coat the former owner put on my newly acquired 1975 Honda CB360T engine side case, chrome wheels and front forks. 1. Most of these soda or sand blasters require CFM ranging from 6.0 - 20.0. Most air compressors don't produce nearly that much CFM. For example, almost all Harbor Freight air compressors won't work with the same soda blasters they sell. Also, I'm told that the media used has to be somewhere between 50-300 grit to work.
The compressor I am using is from Harbor Freight McGraw 21 gallon. 175 PSI 4.0 SCFM @ 90 PSI. As far as the media I use. It’s the soda from Harbor Freight. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Hey mate love your work but I do a lot of media blasting and using the soda for what you're doing is fine but be careful of using any solid media around bearings and carbies cause it get past seals and can do a lot of damage. You said that it was in your garage and that was a fair way away. Just saying
Thanks for the tip. I was curious about if it could do damage. Thanks for watching.
That’s we get here from people who import containers full sell here in uk thousands of pounds
I need a local partner. You game.
Nice video, why not use the gas tank is it a mess?
I never use the gas tank until I know it’s clean. This one was not clean.
I often see you include links to the jfegwo jump pack. How does it perform? Have you had a chance to try it out extensively?
I use it quite often. It was my battery back up on my 10 day road trip on the GPZ. Kept my phone charged and jumped a guys motorcycle on the trip.
Had to watch 360 video, I know quite a lot about them.
That was a real bargain, particularly with a decent stock exhaust system, the seats in that condition were selling for $200 in early 2000's
It's a CL tank not a CB, ( got any more of them?).
I've had to pay more than that many times, never had one that cheap (I like them, more my era, I'm kinda the unofficial world expert on engine mods to make them more reliable)
Plates are stuck, should break free with some heat and a 'bump', usually bit of rust in a few places, weres off as soon as it's working and will be fine (OEM Honda plates are great, clutch springs, nope, will need changing)
45 yr old tyres are not the greatest, they were pretty crap in 1974.
Tach is probably rusted spring internally, runs slow even if you fix it.
Soda blaster is great for carbs, zinc die cast comes up good. Wet soda blasting makes them come up like new (I've seen them but haven't got one)
Are you using blasting soda?
If you or anyone with older Honda twin want's to know more about modifications for reliability or pretty much anything, you should check out Vintage Honda Twins, it is 'better' than the old Honda twins and doesn't have all the nagging for notifications.

I got such a great deal on this bike. You seem like someone I would love to talk to. I am a forum member of Honda Twins. Really like the forum. Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewind I'm on Honda Twins quite a lot but not every day like I was a few years ago.
Vintage Honda Twins was migrated by the Honda Twins site owner after the host wouldn't negotiate on advertising (basically walked away from it and started new site)
You seem to have a lot of very nice 'junkyards' in your vicinity, central Florida doesn't have anything in a reasonable distance any more, two closed down several years ago (Jack's in Sanford and one in Apopka)
I recently heard of one in Iverness, FL called Mauro’s. I am planning on stopping there in my lap around Florida.
@@motorcyclerewind Cool, never heard of Mauro's before.
Have a good trip.
whats that whine noise when you started it?`my bike does the same thing
Starter roller going out and probably some rust inside the starter. The rust in the starter should self heal from use. The starter rollers will have to be changed at some point. Thanks for watching
What’s not correct, the tank or the seat?
The tank is from a CL360. Thanks for watching.
I don't know much about refurbishing, but that front fork looks pretty bad. It either needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
It is pretty rusty. I new set of forks is something the next guy can do. Thanks for watching.
This would be $1,250 in the UK
Wow!!! Thanks for watching.
Maybe you’re in the wrong game 😂
Let’s do it!!
I think you are going to be sorry for blasting the thing with grit.
Like I said, I am not an expert! 😂 I am eager to learn. What do you think is going to fail first? Thanks for watching.
If I could find one for same price and in Europe, I will be happy. But here is not USA.
We get lucky every now and then with cheap bikes. Thanks for watching.
It needs new spokes.
Yes it does. Needs spokes, fork tubes and lots of other stuff. Thanks for watching.
How many times you gonna say
$125
At least 125 times. 😂
