Hello there
I don’t know why I didn’t think it was adrenaline! I think it was a small dosage of Venom! The same drug used by Bane, which would make sense why he lost sense of himself and took so much to draw him out of his rage
i soo Wana see Hush becoming new Villain for The Batman 2 , joke hase been done many times Hush would be perfect and not many fans know who Hush is and its time to introduce him to the next movie and i wonder who they cast for him if ever. and i saw the movie 2 times and second time movie is even better.
There's another detail of the cufflink Bruce Wayne has, it's a W with a curvy line through it and if u turn it upside down it could be seen as "AA" = arkham asylum
Peter Sarsgaard was great in Dope Sick!
The batman is a crime thriller!! This film is very realistic, dark and fantastic! Robert pattinson has become my favourite batman!!🦇🦇
That's what I love about superhero films they are soo accurate with small small details too 😍🔥
Yes yes and yes! My favorite batman movie!!
@@cousins6024 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Agree
I'm sorry, but I really couldn't find myself to love this film as much as others. I feel like it was a bit TOO realistic and the film had very few bright shots. Now obviously I know that Gotham is not exactly meant to be a vibrant city but even in previous films, there were some great visuals where everything was actually clear. I felt like we were just forced to like this Batman, instead of making us genuinely love him. It was like "Right, this is Batman. You HAVE to love him or else!"
Also Details in story: when carmine falcon died . He Layed down looking at Batman. He said early in the movie to Bruce that when he got shot and was being operated on the table, he was looking at a very young Bruce Wayne.
The Penguin show already has a showrunner and is set to premiere in the second half of next year. Also, something that a lot of people are missing (could be a coincidence) is that the Riddler executes his explosions on the night of November 5, the same as V in V for Vendetta.
Oh shit! You’re right!!!!!
That's a great catch but it's also a real holiday, Guy Fawkes Night, and Guy Fawkes was part of a plot to blow up the House of Lords. So it's probably a reference to the actual event, which V for Vendetta is obviously referencing as well. I think you're definitely correct that it's intentional though.
And it all ends on November 6th, my birthday. This is all making me happier.
And on top of that, V for Vendetta was also a WB film 😊😊😊.
Ironic, "Remember, Remember the 5th of November." One of the riddlers goals was to be remembered.
I personally have never had a better experience watching a movie in my life, I enjoyed this movie more than Dark Knight but I need to see how it ages to say it’s better. Criticisms of this movie saying it’s depressing and boring baffles me, I was smiling the entire film just watching what iv always wanted from a Batman movie finally put on the big screen.
It would age like fine wine because of these details I guess. Definitely Up there with the Dark Knight
Same here bro. Hell I got depressed after watching it! Because I missed being in the theatre with Robb's Batman. He was greattt
Yea I was smiling a lot in this movie and enjoyed the comedic/action moments a lot.
Same here, man!! Same here
I think the people who hate it went in with expectations of the norm comic book movie cgi & action.. this movie was realistic and a true Batman movie.. the additional hate comes from oh him as Bruce was to emo and he looked like vampire those our the twilight shots.. plus people who aren't paying attention to the movie, which the movie states he was clearly out for vengeance of his parents killer not caring about if he lives or die or anyone. until Alfred got hurt. the next movie is when will see billionaire Bruce..
The Wayne ring with the W on it when looked upside down reads AA. A reference to Arkham Asylum. Part of the plot later on in the film.
Maybe indicating that Arkham Asylum had a history in the family which is later confirmed when it's reveal that Martha had mental issues and was admitted to the Asylum.
@@themadtitan7603 Exactly. 😊
The perfect Batman movie. I finally felt like I was watching a live action version of the animated series but MUCH darker. It’s fantastic.
Also, Cobblepot felt like a sopranos character. I love it all.
The Hush Easter eggs were the first ones that really stood out to me, Edward Elliot in the movie being the father of the Thomas Elliot aka Hush is the perfect set-up for the sequel's villain. In the comics, Tommy has an intense grudge against the Waynes and that could be incorporated in the sequel as him blaming them for his father's death and plotting his revenge against Bruce Wayne.
I think that was just a nod to fans how Hush was such a big inspiration for this adaptation of Riddler. I think the Hush we’re getting in this universe is in a way already adapted through Riddler. Masked murder mystery with childhood ties to Bruce Wayne. You could even theorize that the reporter was actually Riddler’s father.
@@slade6959 that’s what I was thinking as well, lots of Hush elements mixed in with this Riddler and I think this will be the closest thing we get to Hush in this universe just cuz if they actually used Hush while his motives could be tweaked he’d ultimately feel like the same villain without the riddles tho.
indeed
@@rayparker4231 Hush is different tho in the sense that while Riddler was targeting the corrupt elite of Gotham who've made false promises or abused their power in some way, Tommy Elliot wants revenge on the Wayne family and Bruce specifically by carving his face to look like him and thus destroying his reputation and legacy from the inside out. It'll be interesting to see that just as Bruce is starting to build up his public persona in the sequel only the public to think that he's behind heinous crimes and see the city turn against him. You could even reveal that Riddler has been masterminding the whole thing as a way to get back at Batman just like in the original comic.
@@rayparker4231 remember this is young riddler hush's story is around murdering his parents to become prphan the riddlers is around showing he is the smarts despite being an orphan
I was under the impression that during Batman's interrogation of Riddler he realizes that his identity hasn't quite been pieced together by him just yet. Nashton is just obsessive over Bruce Wayne
You’re right. That’s why Batman steps into the light after Riddler says, “He’s (Bruce) the only one WE didn‘t get.”
Bruce assuming that Riddler knew his identity was his big mistake in the movie which caused the big explosion cataclysm to occur
Slade true he thought he lost
Yea that part was so good.
I completely agree!
One Easter egg he might've missed is I don't think Batman injected himself with adrenaline. I think that was his Venom formula from the comics. It's the stuff Bane would later use, but before that it was something Batman was addicted to using in the comics.
He wouldn’t just be injecting himself with it considering you get super addicted to it and it affects your body he wouldn’t be normal 😂
@@ryanheller9683 I see what you’re saying. Maybe it was his first time using it. That’s what I got from his reaction
@@dawthvadah1249 could be his first time but it’s unlikely because there was a button he pushed which opened up some skin on his leg, meaning he’s used it before or you could be right it is his first time
I said the same thing in theaters!!! It's pre Bane, something he was experimenting with that he got ahold of!!
*The Batmobile deserves a spinoff!!! What a ducking reveal! The acting, directing, cinematography and score was phenomenal! Also Battinson's eyes were also stunning to watch. Batman's eyes spoke when his mouth didn't.*
The batmobile the movie 😂😂
@@jaylenjayden9305 a autopilot batmobile movie just knocking off bad guys while batman is in the cave
They are actually developing Batmobile based cartoon series. It is named bat wheels. But is little kids. Kind like merging cars movie tone with Batmobile. What's more interesting is Batman in that series is going to be voiced by Ethan Hawke, who will be in moon knight.
What's with actors and directors working in DC and marvel at the same time. We had James gunn who is simultaneously working with MCU and DCEU. Jeffrey Wright who is watcher in what if for MCU and Gordon for DC. Now Ethan Hawke who seems to be playing villian for moon knight and voicing Batman. Barry koreghan who was in eternals and now appears to be in Batman.
It seems like even though Marvel and DC are competitive with each other, but they are actually respect each other and had helped each other so many times.
Only those so called hardcore fanboys are fighting over whether marvel or DC is best.
Why can't we appreciate both for what they are. I don't want my comic book movie to be in same tone and style. Like different variety in those. So i like both MCU and DC.
*Paul Dano as the Riddler was the cherry on top. His characters have always been "complicated" and "weird," and I can't think of anyone who could have brought the Riddler with this complexity.*
His performance was so eerily realistic that it was disturbing, from his online community to his family tantrums.
This movie felt like a giant episode of the Animated Series and that is what solidified it as my favorite batman film EVER for me! Such a good film!!
Wait… if they give him 3 movies… and he’s called Vengeance in this one a lot… can he be called either the Dark Knight in the next one, and then finally accepted as Batman in the final movie? So in chronological order… he is vengeance… he is the night/knight… he is Batman?
That Riddler clicking photo through the window of his house is my most favourite detail 🔥🔥🤯
The more I watch and think about the movie I LOVE IT EVEN MORE
I really don’t think anyone picked this up about the penguin but he Waddled from the beginning. They actually show a close-up of his feet and he has a limb-length discrepancy meaning one of his legs is longer than the other and he Compensate by wearing a heel on his right foot only. which is why when he calls Falcone a rat he replies buy calling the penguin a Gimp.
Wait, you guys think The Riddler figured out Bruce is Batman? That's so interesting. I don't think that at all. It sets it up that Bruce believes that's what's happening which is why he says it's all going to come to an end, but then during the Arkham scene The Riddler goes on and on about how Bruce Wayne got away. Bruce is clearly nervous he's been found out, but once Riddler says that Bruce got away but they still got everyone else, you see Bruce realize his identity is safe. Which is why he then starts conversing with Edward. The Riddler doesn't think Bruce is Batman. He wouldn't have gone after Bruce if he knew he was Batman. He wants Bruce to pay for Thomas' sins. I could have read it wrong, but I don't think I did. This is the one time I'll say I'm fully right.
Riddle does not know he is Batman
He even says
We only missed Bruce wayne
Well, if you look at it from the hypothetical perspective that Riddler knows: He does know that there is a camera right on him, and for Riddler, the fact of him knowing Batman's identity is definitely not something he would give out lightly. He loves the thrill of the game too much. He knows it's too powerful a piece of information to just be like "Hey Gotham, Bruce is Batman. That is all." He would turn it into another game, a riddle, a puzzle for others to solve. It could be an ultimate test to those he could see worthy enough intellectually, those he could view as mental equals... But I love that the film doesn't outright tell us which one is true. They leave it just ambiguous enough for you to decide, and both options have really strong arguments...
@@filmfanaticx4212 But earlier he sends a bomb for Bruce and leaves a clue for the Batman... Riddler hasn't figured it out, but the bat thinks he has... During interrogation he realizes that his identity is safe..
@@nikhilsathe621 The video from New Rockstars they're watching does make the point that it wasn't until AFTER Riddler found out that Bruce wasn't around the bomb that he could've deduced that Bruce was Batman. Since Bruce has been a reclusive loner, his only major appearance being the Mayor's funeral, Riddler may have thought "If you're such a recluse, why aren't you dead from a bomb in your own home?", which could've led him down a path to figuring out who Bruce is. But as I mentioned also, the film is smart with it by leaving that scene ambiguous enough to make either option seem logical...
Agreed!
I can't stop thinking about this movie after watching it. introduction of batman was so memorable. Batmobile was scary af too😂
*Literally just got out the theatre. It was amazing! This Batman is brutal and more realistic as far as fighting and him being human. It shows his detective side as well as him being obsessed with fighting crime. This is a young inexperienced Batman. The Riddler and Penguin were spot on too. So was Catwoman.*
I think the injection was Venom not adrenaline, first off it was green, and also, venom was first introduced in a comic where Batman started taking it and became overly violent and brutal beating criminals to bloody pulps, which is what happens in the film, the fact that Batman seems hesitant to use it seems to further cement that it's venom, cuz why would he hesitate that much for an adrenaline shot, but with Venom he knew it could be dangerous, who knows, perhaps this version of Venom has something to do with the drops, perhaps similar chemical compounds.
Great observation
One of my favorite parts is the first time we see the batmobile before the penguin chase it stalls 😊 hot rods stall all the time so I'm glad they did that
Ok...so it was a stall ha ha. Thought I imagined that 😄
Best Batmobile reveal ever imo
@@phillipt1697 I thought he was just giving Penguin a head start lol.
@@thebatman4279 Honestly I thought that...almost like goating him to take off so he could chase him ha ha
It actually doesn't stall. It jolts forward to intimidate him.I thought it stalled the first time I watched but upon further viewings it's clear that it doesn't
Finally somebody pointed out the Good Times grocery. As soon as I saw that I was like that’s gotta be for Robert Pattinson. I wanted to hear it confirmed from Matt but I was like 95% sure it couldn’t be a coincidence.
What if since this is most likely gonna be a trilogy this first movie we hear him say “I am vengeance” then in the second we hear him say “I am the night” and for the 3rd and last one we finally get to hear him say “I AM BATMAN!”
It better be longer than a trilogy. That'd be a waste tbh. A Quadrilogy is the best of both worlds but I can see them doing Five if they want to.
@@himum3429 i really hope we get 5!! We need fleshed out Batman stories
@@jdot634 we better have 6! two trilogies
@@himum3429 yeah honestly I'd love for more than 3 films cuz then they can do even more villians, like 3 movies limits to like 5 max 6 MAIN villians, but more movies could flesh out the best parts of his rogues galleries
*Omg!! I'm surprised you guys got this out so fast this movie felt very complex and jam packed full of Easter eggs.*
They watched a NR video, am I missing something🤔
Best Batman Movie I’ve seen, cannot wait for more of this movie’s universe.
That Riddler apartment detail was gold.
He was there, all this time.
I think it’s the best live action Batman in a sense that it set out to do and the tone it gave. The Riddler was a serious, smart , and actual stakes. There are a few flaws but I loved the entire film and movie was eye catching and engaging. Very very welcome 🙏🏼
I think people are missing/glossing over a huge point in the movie. The Renewal fund. It was said in the movie that the corruption in GC was enabled bc there was no oversight of the fund for 20 years. We didn’t see the accountants meeting with BW/Alfred either. I think that BW realized that he has to pay attention to that aspect of his life bc of this.
I loved the way Matt captured the environment and scenery of Gotham, ripped out of a comic book
The part about him squinting at the beginning when he saw sunlight and then at the end, when he's lookin up and doesn't squint at all because he's "seen the light"......hit me different. Great video 👍🏼 great film 🎥
Thanks guys Rewatched NewRockstars Breakdown with you 💖🦇
The crazy thing is that the Riddler actually won, besides failing to kill Bruce Wayne, he succeeded at flooding the city.
I was completely confused on why he was falling apart at the end.
He won on every angle.
@@johnking7054 probably cuz Bella lived
@@johnking7054 He wanted Batman's approval/admiration and failed. That was his greatest disappointment, as he had this idea in his mind that they were working together on the whole thing. Cherry on top... Batman gets some mild recognition for helping people at the flooding (implied by the news anchor) which probably triggered him even more.
@@karensalas698 only a Karen would understand him.... (Joking but the joke was on the table for me)
@@johnking7054 touché...🤣
You should really hear Reeves explanation for leaving the Joker cameo in and removing the 'Silence of The Lambs' scene. He says they tested both versions of the film. But the Arkham scene with Joker x Riddler, really sets up and echoes the conversation in the following scene between Batman and Selena. Where she says that Gotham wont ever change, that there will always be a storm brewing. Which we literally had just seen the truth of seeing Joker and Riddler become buddies in lock up.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best movie of all time. The acting, plot, cinematography, music kept me invested the whole 3 hours. I’ve seen the dark knight over 20 times and I couldn’t believe that this was better. I don’t know how they top this because it’s in a tier all by itself
It's a best batman movie, according to story perspective.
I've noticed that the Nolan films feel very....tame after watching The Batman. A very neutered version of Gotham. And everything seems to come together so easy for Bruce after he returns from Asia. His transformation into Batman feels a bit too slick and easy.
I love Reeves work on the Batman, it ranks 3rd on my all time superhero list
1 NWH
2 Days of Future Past
3 The Batman
4 Endgame
5 Man of Steel
6 Infinity War
7 The Dark Knight
8 Spiderman 2
9 Guardians of the Galaxy
10 Shang Chi Lot10R
The cinematography was phenomenal, you could actually feel the threatening nature of Batman whilst still being a great detective, being able to solve those riddles in less than 5 seconds, that's the batman i want, i love comic book roots batman (detective like Sherlock Holmes
You gotta be kidding me. Why so much hype if people are literally sleeping in cinemas watching this movie ? I would rank this lowest of all Batman movies
@@TheOneWithUA-cam Tik Tok consuming Marvel plebs don't count as people.
this movie was amazing, especially seeing it in imax was a one of a kind experience that i will never forget.
Those clips used of Matt in a interview he looks so much like Bens version of Jim Gordon from gotham lol
9/10 🔥The Batman - A Masterpiece, Perfect, Oscar worthy movie 🔥
Watched on 11 Mar 2022 at PVR, Mangalore, India. Superlative, super hero, detective, noir movie, meant only for big screens 😊
Unique haunting BGM, super dark yet outstanding cinematography & never seen before lighting especially sunset shots over corrupted Gotham City were out of world, long slow-burn yet tight screenplay, thrilling sequences & intriguing dialogues, engaging mysterious storyline, immersive experience, realistic acting by all characters, terrifying actions & emotions, unexplainably scary moments, the nuances & symbolism, no glam-sham only raw content.
Above all top-notch work from director Matt Reeves and best acting by our The Batman, Robert Pattinson.
All cine buffs including directors should watch this exceptional, inspirational, brilliant case study movie 👌👌👌
I love this Batman movie it was dark gritty lots of twists and turns Robert Pattinson did a great job as Batman
The best Batman ever! We've been waiting for this detective version of The Batman. I absolutely loved it.
The Batman and TDK are tied for my favorite Batman movies 🦇 Absolutely loved what Matt Reeves did with this story. It got so many things right and I’m still thinking about it 🤔=😊
When watching The Batman I was pretty frustrated asking myself why he has a cape since he seems to go into his fights head on with no fear. It paid off in such a big way to see him use it as a glider.
Nashton in the upper left of the screen snapping pics of the club only 30 mins in is just so simple but mind blowing, some of my favourite hidden details in movies are these kind of ones
Awesome to hear Greg make the Penguin/ Untouchables comparison! Totally agree!
Love these kinds of videos cause I never catch these stuff I’m so enthralled in the story
I love how at the end of the movie Batman speeds up as he heads to his next mission.
17:32 I thought I was the only one... I hate that poor actor too for some reason... 😅
i feel like the next movie is a perfect chance to introduce harvey dent/two-face. With DA Coulson dead, there is a chance for a new more honest DA who wants to do things differently, especially cause the Riddler called out the corruption in Gotham. Plus with all the mentions of Maroni and we didn't even see him, maybe he'll show up in the sequel as he is the one that threw acid on Dent's face in the comics.
I freaking love this movie!!!
Saw it last night. Enjoyed it thoroughly
Their is a few things they didn’t get right nothing that would make the movie trash. But I feel the batman 2 Will be the best batman and also maybe the best comic book movie. Two things I l absolutely love bout this movie was they did not showed riddler but you hear his soft theme song playing that give’d me chills and also that Bruce Wayne intro of the batman “they think I’m hiding in the shadows, I AM THE SHADOWS”. I’m already excited for batman 2
I absolutely agree, this was the definitive live-action Batman movie imo and if it can get so close to TDK then the sequel can definitely surpass it and be the best CBM of all time.
Definitely gonna have to go to theaters to watch this again, dang! 👍🔥👌💯
I got a Bladerunner vibe sometimes watching this movie.
I was just bout how cool it’ll be if we had a video of the directors reaction to these Easter egg videos. They’d probably be so pumped that so many people really take the time n effort to run back the films to check these things and really analyze em.
Who remembers that set photo that showed someone dressed as superman, I didn’t see that in the movie
9:41 not only that, but it reminded me of the Arkham origin games when you get the shock gloves
Watched it yesterday the pacing of the film is perfect it's like watching graphic novel.
Just got out the theater. Immediately came here. Loved this movie, the nerd in me literally jumped out of my chair at the mention of a member of the Elliot family. Riddler was a formidable villain, can't wait for the sequel.
Thank you Greg for pointing out the War for the Planet of the Apes tunnel one-shot! Both very epic films.
Another amazing reaction
That callback to “A Christmas Story” was hilarious
The attention to detail is made worthwhile when you have people who watch it and break it down
What if this a origin trilogy where he develops as a Batman
The Batman "im vengeance"
The Batman 2 "im the night"
The Batman 3 "im BATMAN"
Just came back from the third time seeing this, it's definitely one of my favorites of all time
I love how the color red plays in this movie:)
Loved every second of it
Definitely the best looking. Loved that awesome cowl. There were times i thought, did Robert study Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry? This was the most plausible, realistic, Superhero movie...true art
Surprised he didn't mention the idea that the adrenaline used by Batman could've been venom (Bane's strength drug)
You guys are baked beyond the limit on this one.
Him steaming up the car and taking out Gil Colsen is like how Michael Myers waits in the car for Nancy, fogging up the windows, in the backseat and then just lingers, ready to strike.
8:45 My thoughts exactly! I feel the trailer does the sound effects a little bit better then the film. Especially with the guys yell and crack of his arm breaking.
Tbh, the reveal that Riddler was across the street wasn't a great one in my opinion. I was thinking the whole time, "Why haven't we seen Batman go to the angle of where the photos are taken?"
When he came from the darkness it gave me some terminator vibes as he’s marching towards his victims
24:24 his performance felt like he took inspiration from Denero and I loved that
this version of batman reminds me of the batman games cause in the games batman punches with fast and strong strikes witch just feel and sound so good. anyone else have the feeling to play the batman games after watching the movie
I’m watching it again Tuesday in the morning with my mom and then AGAIN later that night in an ATMOS theatre. The sound is finna be 🤌🏼
23:22 i thought i was the only one who noticed that lmao
Super.. Yes The Music first thing I noticed is that it is Similar to Darth Vaders Theme ..And It works so well .. You fear him . I like his Body it's not so bulky with muscle . I love the Punches .. I can't wait to see this a 3rd and 4th time .
That movie was truly amazing
Something I’m surprised he didn’t bring up is riddler flooding the city is straight out of zero-year where he did exactly the same thing.
When referencing Ridlers taking notes on a Ledger, could here his voice saying "A reference to Heath Ledger"
Did anyone else pickup on the interactions between Bruce and falcone.
As when he recognized Bruce from the little boy starring down from the stairs like an angel and when in his final moments looking up at batman.
I really wonder how expensive It was to use Nirvana in the film.
And, imo, I think Kurt would have been stoked to have his works used in what seems to be an exceptional film. And it's Batman.
The small details in this film were incredible. Totally didn’t catch many of these.
I realized that the riddler is the reason why the docks and area surrounding Gotham is underwater in BvS
And i think Martha medical history must also play part why Bruce Wayne is "crazy" as he is..in a way
Uh no. They are not related whatsoever.
The Riddler fanatic at the end that says “I’m vengeance” I too thought was that guy from the funeral BUT is actually the skeleton make-up guy from the beginning of the movie that Batman first says “I’m Vengeance” to.
I believe Batman himself said in the Hush comic "What good is a riddle everyone knows the answer to?" to convince Riddler not to tell anyone his identity. As Riddler did the exact same thing here and seemingly deduced his identity, I feel like Reeves may employ a similar plotline where Riddler may know but intentionally hold his tongue.
that green vial he injects himself with has to be a reference to titan
The opening made me think Rear Window, but also Halloween...which is reinforced by how Riddler acts in the kill scenes...VERY OG Michael Myers.
Shout out to Paul Dano what a performance.
Easter Eggs I think I caught in The Batman:
1) Edward Elliott - Father of Thomas Elliott who becomes Hush which Nashton exposes about the Wayne Family
2) Salvatore Maroni - Crime Boss responsible for creating Two-Face Harvey Dent
3) Selina Kyle's look at the 44 below when she fights Carmine Falcone and his thugs connecting it to Kyle's Look at Batman: Year One
4) The Climax of the film with Batman fighting of Riddler's Lesser nobodies similar to Arkham Origins games.
5) The Point of View shot at the Mayor's mansion with Gordon captured from behind similar to War for the Planet of the Apes with Caesar.
6) Selina Kyle's entrance during certain scenes felt reminiscent to "Batman Returns" score by Danny Elfman
7) The Batman-Selina Kyle interaction with him wanting information from "The 44 below" at the Iceberg Lounge is a nice homage to Gene Hackman's film "The Conversation" with John Cazale.
8) Oswald Cobblepot's performance is based of Fredo Corleone from The Godfather Part 2 where he is trying to make a name for himself.
9) Carmine Falcone talking about how Bruce's father Thomas Wayne saving his life is a reference to The Long Halloween story when Thomas did save Carmine Falcone from a bullet wound at Wayne Mansion.
10) The introduction of first narrative with Bruce Wayne is a direct homage to Batman: Year One story as well as the DC Original animated movie with Ben McKenzie's providing the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman.
11) During the shooting of the film you see Selina Kyle as the escort for Carmine Falcone at the Don Mitchell Jr., funeral but the final version of the film it's a different actress that plays the escort for Carmine Falcone for the funeral scene.
12) Jay Lycurgo who plays Tim Drake in DC's Titans plays the new gang member. He is great as Tim Drake in the HBO Max show.
13) The opening shot of Gotham City in the beginning of the film is based of Times Square in NYC and same goes with Gotham Square Garden a nod to Madison Square Guarden.
14) The ending sequence with Batman and Catwoman driving on their respective motorcycles is done by their doubles. One of the doubles for Batman is Rick English in this film who is also doubling for Ben Affleck in "The Flash" and "Batgirl" for HBO Max.
15) The whole chase sequence that starts at the docks is a combination of "The French Connection" with Gene Hackman and "Bullitt" with Steve McQueen. You can see the chase sequence as a point of view shot between Batman in the Batmobile and Oswald Cobblepot in his car.
16) Greig Fraser used Stage Craft technology for the overview shot of Gotham City during the scenes with Batman-Jim Gordon, Batman-Selina Kyle etc., which is the same tech he used in Disney Plus' The Mandalorian.
17) Deepcut: Frank Miller played the victim who dies at the hands of Bullseye played by Colin Farrell in the beginning of Bullseyes introduction in Daredevil where the assassin steals his bike.
The shot where batman is being fired at, was done practically! How insane is that,
At 15:15 I’m surprised he didn’t link the relation between this scene and a scene from Seven. He points out that that is the riddler in the corner of the shot taking photos of the lounge. This would be the first time we see him, and then later in the movie he flat out reveals himself. I’m Seven, Kevin Spacey’s character(I don’t remember his name, I’ve never actually watched the movie I just know how it goes down) is first revealed in the movie taking photos of the crime scene, but we don’t know it’s him. He later reveals himself just like the Riddler does. I’m surprised this link wasn’t noticed
they should do a movie with some plot from Batman: Prey. Hugo Strange is often forgotten despite being the first villain to find out his identity
i think when riddle was saying bruce wayne he was trying to see if batman would react bc he he had a hunch. but batman didnt react and then u can see riddle sighs with relief bc batman didnt react
The mad scientist on the card made me think of Hugo Strange
The guy who plays the dad dude in the funeral scene confirmed that he's not the same guy who got he's teeth kicked in by batsy.
Batman walking out of the dark at the train station reminded me of the Bear Jew from Inglourious Basterds.
I'm surprised they didn't mention the possibility of that green liquid actually being an early version of the Venom drug that Batman injects himself with during the final battle
The actor on the subway with the half face paint plays Tim drake on Titans didn’t hurt the guy, I wonder if any connection
