- Remember when Hobi had to say "nyam nyam nyam" to convey his message? Now, he can handle a conversation with his idol J.Cole.
Even when he reads from the teleprompter, Hobi's delivery is so natural, which shows that he's getting comfortable with the English language. Hobi's improvement was showcased even more during his promotion for JITB and Lollapalooza.
Hobi doesn't mind making mistakes when using English terms. And because of that, he slowly but surely learned the language without any hesitation.
Now, Hobi is getting fluent and confident in speaking English, and I am so proud of him.

Hobi is the perfect example of perseverance .. he practiced his english so he can help out Namjoon in interviews .. I've seen him get mad at translators for not saying exactly what they said .. he wants to make sure his response is understood .. I admire his consistant improvement in speaking english 👍👍👍🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜

I studied Spanish in high school and all through college. I can read, write and understand what someone is saying, but I’m too shy to practice speaking because I’m afraid of how I’ll sound. I think that’s how it is with J-Hope, Suga and V. J-Hope and V are getting better at speaking because they’re willing to make mistakes. Suga seems more like me.
I'm so happy about his english improving so much because i can understand him now. I will still learn Korean of course I want to understand him in his native language ❤

As soon as I saw the title I knew I my heart would be fluttering... I love hearing all the members speak English but with Hobi there's just something about the way he speaks, like his intonation and his pronunciation just makes me melt. I used to have a goal of getting as good at Korean as JHope is at English, but for the past year or so I’ve been thinking I’ll never catch up. He’s too good and works too hard. I’m still trying to come up to where he was in Malta.

I noticed a while ago his transition from 'miss ed' to 'missed'. Noticing your mistakes and correcting them are one of the most accurate indicators of your fluency improvement. Aish if only I could do the same with Hangul!!

I love when he used 2 say "hamvurger" 4 hamburger, and "j-hove" 4 j-hope. Hangul has no "v" and I'm guessing he was super aware of it and kinda used it where he shouldn't due 2 nervousness. Hope I made sense there!! ANyhow I really thought it was cute. Like a child learning 2 speak.
As an asian who has been studying English for 7 years I am objectively way better than him but as I don't have enough confidence in speaking and I'm always worried about making mistakes, I can't show my full potential but with the confidence that this guy has even though he isn't really good in English he is still able to communicate well and improve fast not only that his accent and pronunciation are the best in the group after RM. I wish I had a percentage of his confidence...
