To clarify with marilyns dress, the problem was that marilyn was historically exploited in life and continues to be exploited in death. It was a dress that apparently marilyn really loved, if not her favorite dress of all. And with that movie coming out that slandered her name and called her a baby killer for having an abortion despite her wanting to be a mom and apparentky the abortion was a medical emergency, (which doesn't change that she is by definition NOT a baby killer bjt it adds to the pain of bejng called that when you suffer from the grief) and the abuse she faced in her lifetime, now being reduced to just a sexy woman and even accused as being part of tje problem purely because of what people did to her despire her apparently being a feminist, people saw it as disrespectful for anyone to wear the dress. Hell they found it disrespectful to have it on display period but it being torn was the cherry on top of it all. Even though everyone knew marilyn wasnt gonna know about it bc she was dead, people are extra defensive anout those things because shes bren so disrespected that leaving her dress as is feels like the bare minimum.

She did desperately want to be a mother. My mom had to have a theraputic abortion and I don't think she was ever ok with it. I can't imagine having everyone think you have everything but you could never have the one thing you wanted, and then have people call you a murderer for it.
This makes me so upset! She always wanted to have babies. But she had PCOS. She even attempted to end her life after her first abortion because she was so devastated.
I feel like even without Marilyn's shitty life, it feels fucked up that rich people can just buy their way into wearing clothes from any dead person they want to as a fashion statement. It's not a perfect analogy, but it feels reminiscent of Victorian aristocracy buying ancient Egyptian burial wear for the aesthetic.

Fun fact, having allergies to pollen can actually be a sign of a strong immune system. Basically your immune system overreacts to pollen thinking it's harmful, and attacks your body and sinuses. Antihistamines lower the histamines in your blood which is your immune response

i live in a random european country so i didnt think the ozempic trend would reach over to us till i was talking to my granny who has diabetes and she told me she has to drive to our capital city(!) with my parents and check out multiple pharmacies to get her meds. (they dont always have it at her local pharmacy anymore) which is just insane... she has been diagnosed with diabetes for 20+ years and this has NEVER been a problem.
My almost 90-year-old grandfather is also having this issue now and it makes me genuinely so, so angry.

Health is a very hard thing to keep up. Especially if your malnourished as a child. I've had so many people think i was on ozenpic. When im just naturally skinny because i was born premature and most premature adults are autoimmuned which makes it harder to be healthy. Not everyone is capable of being healthy. And im pregnant atm which is even scarier for me. Just saying not everyone was born healthy. I was healthy and tonned for about 6 years of my life? But it was really hard to keep up. My shingles would pop up alot (dormant chicken pox) from over stressing myself. And im only 30 years old. Ive had shingles 3 times in my life. Thankfully they never got too bad just a couple dots would pop up. But omg the nerve damage it causes.
All these toxic looks maxing trends are to aspiring influencer types, what botox and cosmetic facial reconstruction is to people afraid of aging. Either way, it's promoting unhealthy attitudes toward the self and will end up hurting more people than it ever could hope to even lie about helping with their confidence.
I dont even think the stick skinny, or skinny trend ever went away, just a different body type was introduced as being attractive that wasnt just quarter to anorexia nervosa.
Which is why I'm so confused when people say "it's coming back" when it never left in the first place.
I think with kpop gaining popularity more internationally proana is beginning to get normalised once again, because majority of idols look one skipped meal away from needing a tube down to their stomach and I can not imagine what they look like irl.
I know kpop stans will get upset and say "they're naturally skinny" or "they're so they have to be skinnier" etc etc, we all know it's a bunch of lies to push a gross narrative, especially when the bodies being glorified are those of pre pubescent/ pubescent teens, that as they get older they have to starve themselves to no end to maintain a similar look which just leaves them looking grossly pale and gaunt.
There is something so unsettling about grown ass men who are by no means short weighing between 50kgs-70kgs at most, or growing young women and men who are very tall weighing around 40kgs-60kgs atmost.

In reference to the issue of diabetics having issues accessing ozempic to treat their diabetes due to a “shortage”, I say the exact same thing about the constant “shortages” of ADHD medications. It’s not an issue with people receiving a prescription of the medication from a doctor and having their use of ozempic being overseen by their doctor for weight loss. It’s an issue with pharmaceutical companies intentionally slowing production of medication in order to manufacture a shortage in order to justify the high cost. There is no “shortage”, just greedy pharmaceutical companies with little regard for the people who take the medication they manufacture.

Ozimpic sounds like it sucks ppl say it makes em nauseous, dizzy and sick all it really seems to do is makes you lose your appetite. With fast weight loss a lot is water and muscle not fat which will mess up your metabolism, I lost 130 pounds in a little under a year it fucked up my metabolism sm slow and steady is definitely the best way to lose weight. Eat more fruits and vegetables and a good amount of protein while being more active you lose weight and feel better
