Hi..just felt like sharing this here.. I organized a debate in my class 3 days back. The students were from class 7,8 and 9. The topic that I gave them was "Homosexual couples should be allowed to raise kids".
I was so surprised that all the students spoke for "yes" except for two boys. The students in the "yes" team spoke so well saying that all kids deserve love, all kids deserve a home, the kids of such parents grow up to be more open minded, stronger, respect others feelings, the kids don't end up being a threat to the society etc etc.....
I was very happy to see the younger generation speak so positively with an open mind about things that is still seen as a taboo by most of us in the present generation.
Vignesh Kannan having this kind of debate is good, but, 7,8,9 class is not the right age group to talk abt this. Pls allow school children to concentrate on studies. Wat u did is wrong. And if u r a school teacher, u may end up in trouble, if parents complain.

The students were a lot matured than I thought. I was so happy that they all expressed their views without having hurt anyone. Sometimes we feel that kids should keep quiet or rather not discuss about these things. But we must not forget that they are the future.
Also we all know how important it is as a skill to express one's views. The skill can only be developed only when they are given the chance to express themselves.

Let me explain why.
U said students were mature.: tats a extremely generic statement n it cannot be true. Forget about students. We cannot surely say grown up adults are mature. So immaturity is common in all age groups and children are definitely immature( except few).
Children shud learn to express. But the topic of discussion should not be related to sexuality or related.
Instead introducing this kind of subject, should be given by parents and not by schools.
Also remember parents send their children to school to educate in certain subject not for this kind of issues.
Also remember parents may belong to certain community, which may have different opinion. So they will not like their children being influenced.
U might have conducted this debate with due care. But, some ppl can misuse this kind of debate to spread incorrect info amongst children.
So my humble request is pls allow children's to enjoy childhood. They can learn this things much later in life.
Already reality shows are forcing small children to sing. Dance n perform like adults. Which is wrong. At least in school they must act as per their age.

This film doesn't have a proper ending or any message. It feels like just bcz LGBT is hot topic, they simply made a film to get likes n views. In fact, in some perspective this film is wrong. By breaking up with his partner, he broke tat other guy's heart n dreams. And by marrying a girl, he will spoil her life too, which is absolutely not acceptable. If he does not have courage to reveal his truth, tats ok, but at least he must have courage to say NO to marriage.
Saranya lol you clearly missed the point. The ending says he has accepted that he is gay and that he does not mind if other people know. He takes off his glasses in the end to show he will be with his partner.
Sinthu Kuna before lol, understand the point. Removing glasses doesn't signify anything.. it is just ur perception. A movie message should not be based on audience perceptions, but based on directors view.. which the movie doesn't show properly.
Saranya the thing is the message is there. He tells off the security guard to show he has accepted who he is. A movie doesn't need to be blunt and say the meaning. But I guess everyone perceives it differently. I believe the message is loud and clear
