Nice video, how has it been treating you over the last few years? Have you made any adjustments since? Do you feel the ski is stable with the motor on the side?
just wondering if there has been any issues with the mounting plate/or hull cracks since you had it put on. ill be using my ski in the ocean and at times might get tossed about a bit going through the breakers . wondering if it would stress the mouldings too much if its bouncing about too much. cheers phil
Great video! Considering doing something similar on a Kawasaki jetski. Can you confirm the shaft length on the motor? And also maybe comment on the 100Ah battery size. Does that seem about right? I'd be fishing in Florida (inshore) with some tidal currents for 5 or maybe 6 hours . I'm sure I'll need to experiment, but would still be interested in your feedback. Thank you.
I can't remember what I shortened the shaft length to. I believe it's 40 inches but maybe 38. I actually reduced the battery capacity to 70ah. I have 2 35ah lithium ion batteries wired in parallel now. Reduced weight by about 60lbs. With the 100ah and 70ah battery I went all day but I never had to fight current. Mostly I have had to fight wind. I suppose it would depend on how fast the currents are.
Great video! This is awesome! I believe you that is a Game changer! I got couple weeks ago a 2021 fish Pro and tried already couple options to install a trolling motor before I found your video. Having that installed on a Fish Pro, I would say that is a must. I tried couple spots on the watercraft to test and I totally agree that the best spot is where you installed it. Good job! Looking forward to get the right trolling motor soon and finish the job. What size do you recommend?
Ohh I went with the smallest they had at the time for one with ipilot. 55lb I dont know if I mentioned in the video but I also shortened the shaft some.
@@BillNoneya You mentioned that you shortened the shaft. What's the total length now, if you don't mind? I just bought a 55lb Minn Kota Terrova i-Pilot, with a Shaft Length of 54". I know that is too long, but Terrova doesn't have the option on 48" (probably even 48"would be too long) and I really liked the options on motor compared with PowerDrive 55lb w/48"shaft. My plan is to cut to whatever length is necessary to work on my Fish Pro. Any advice on cutting and adjusting the shaft?
@@Patrick-ff7ut I just measured and it's 37 inches in the visible section. I don't remember how much goes into the inside of the head but I think it was a couple of inches.
No sir. It has trolling mode but in trolling mode you have to constantly steer. It should be called trawling mode. The only way it's useful is to drag lures behind you.
Hey how’s the balance did you have to counterweight?
Looks great to me... More sturdy than I would have thought possible too. Definitely gives me a few ideas. Thanks.

No I haven't seen any of those problems but I have never been in those conditions on it.
good luck... im afraid that it will come off after you hope any number of sizable waves... let us know if it hold up
I think it'll be fine. I have taken some big boat wakes no problems. I don't fish in sizeable waves though.
How do you stow it? You use a rope?
How secure is it in rough water
thanks for sharing, looks awesome. is that an auto deploy or do you deploy and retrieve it manually. cheers, from Australia
Manually.

@@BillNoneya Thank you for your help.
How big of a battery did you use and how long does it last and thanks for the video the bracket looks good and pretty sturdy
I used a 100ah battery. I dont think it needs one quite that big though.
thanks mate, cheers
How did the trolling motor end up working?
It's great. Game Changer.
Did you put it on yourself or did you have a shop do it?
@@TheDonsRiche I did everything myself except welding the pieces together.
doesn't the 2020 have a trolling motor setting on the engine already?

Have anyone think of using the minn Kota iPilot 120 from the old town kayak !!?!?
It’s possible but would require that unit to have a longer shaft. I’ve seen were most just cut the shaft that comes with the trolling motor.
Hiii it’s you sale your great?
I am not understanding your question. Please try again differently.
do you sell ?
@@minhle-ep7ve Sorry no I do not.
@@BillNoneya o thanks you.
