Japanese made post WWll. These kits were made by the thousands and brought home by soldiers. They are actually both fly and casting rods. The grip section could be removed and reversed to meet requirements. This kit is not complete. Value would be $50 at best.
I have a silaflex perfecxion from the 60s. Perfect condition. I fly it daily. I could easily get $350-400 for it. But it's a piece of history and I'm lucky enough to own such a piece of art
Mass produced Silaflex glass rod from the 60s is worth $25 tops today. Even original Howald process glass rods from late 1940s are not worth much more.
@@billa7993 I just picked up a pre Browning sila-flex at the swap meet for $20 including the sock and tube. In excellent condition. However I did see one sell on eBay in similar condition for about $70 so perhaps 25 is a bit low. Can't wait to fish it.

First, who made it? There are fly rods by some rodcrafters or brands that would bring top dollar. As mentioned here, they were available after WWII in the US. I paid $10 for mine in 1966. I restored one for a lady. She bought the rod at a flea market for nothing. I told her what I would charge. OK as she wanted it as a wall hanger.
Tried fly fishing once. Didn't work out so well for me. Lol. That's a cool kit tho. Idk what it's ACTUAL value is but I would probably buy it more as a decorative item. If I wanted it, the Market value wouldn't really matter as long as i could work it into the budget. I'd pay 500.00 IF, it's as well built as it looks. Quality is 1st. @@robertheal261 Yup, there is someone selling 3 in the boxes with flies and a heddon one for 130 near me and no takers and the price keeps dropping. All they are good for is decoration.
