I can't believe that's the Hammond RT-3 that was used to record 'Dark Side of the Moon'...songs like "Breathe", "The Great Gig in the Sky", "Us and Them" etc... that's the Organ. Just going to see that alone is worth the trip.
@Segs79 Yes, that's the famous DSOTM RT-3. You can tell by the excessive amount of switches on the front. I always loved the opening of "Us and Them" - that's the Hammond sound that did it for me
thanks man, the song is on our UA-cam page, it's titled "From Austin to Abbey Road". There's a couple other songs (with video) also, or you can visit us on Facebook, ReverbNation, or Vimeo for more tunes. This Lp was for our 25th anniversary reunion as a band. Thanks again.
wiki Mrs. Mills, that was THE piano she used. England all knew her, The Beatles knew her, and her piano was a specialty item at EMI, it had that sound as it was engineered by technicians to get that sound. It was a stock Steinway upright that was "treated" and it was in part of the stable of piano's on hand at EMI (Abbey Roads). The Beatles used it on several occasions, Lady Madonna for one and also some Pepper stuff. I always wondered if The Beatles ever took tea with Mrs. Mills whilst she was in studio doing her recordings.
Love my RT-2. No key percussion. Used to have a Gibson Hummingbird guitar like that. I have one thing that Abby Road would love- a Stromberg Carlson carillon from 1952. Piano action on a carillon. Nobody else had a stand alone instrument like this. It is amazing playing it because the dynamics are so pure. I am starting to restore it.
What's the song that was playing in the control room from 3:43? Is the released version of that tune on UA-cam somewhere. I really like it and totally recognize that piano sound.

IamUncledeuce I love the way she plays and smiles like she is actually having a good time.

Mrs mills best piano there I think unique !
I see they have the leslie for that big old Hammond. I remember seeing these in some peoples living rooms and the Church I grew up in had one
The first piano is the one from the UA-cam video of the 13-year-old boy playing Lady Madonna. Just before he finished, security made him stop.
Cup of tea on the Steinway?!?!?!?!
@Segs79
Not sure of that or who played on all these vintage keys, besides us! Thanks for watching.
@addylewis
Hidden away perhaps! thx for watching
