My favorite thing is that in real life, that Titans team was so dominant that they had to change the games in the movies to make it seem like there was any game drama 😂😭😂
He didn’t cut dead weight, he cut ray because he missed a block purposely so his black teammate would get injured and he didn’t want someone like that on the team so he cut him.
Good decision. There is no "I" in a team. Every member looks out for each other, that's what makes a team. If one only causes problems and puts his team mates in danger or gets them hurt, then it's better to cut off that liability.
I absolutely love this movie!! One special reason is because I graduated from the highschool where this was filmed. Even before the credits rolled to show the location, I recognized the front of my alma mater. Beautiful school near the Emory University campus!
My maths teacher gave us the opportunity to watch remember the titans, and those who watched it including myself, were all glad we did. Fucking 10/10 movie, if I get dementia, I’d happily rewatch this shit over and over again
The Daddy of sunshine said it best if these boys can fight a war together they can play football together!! One thing i know is that the us army teaches u to look out for yo fellow man period if he on the grown u get down there with him 💪🏾💪🏾💯
It's crazy i just finished watching this right before I wrote this comment. This movie is what removed so much hatred from my heart. My girlfriend growing up all through middle and highschool broke up with me randomly because I just wasn't going in the right direction. I played football it was my senior year varsity and i was the starting strong safety and back up qb. She instantly started dating a running back from another school a week later. He was black and for some reason I instantly started to believe black people hated me because i was white with red hair. It wasnt until the fourth game our starting center got hurt and then shortly after our starting QB. I had to step up under center and take the snaps. We won and after me and the center stephon went out with some girls for ice cream. Spent the next few summers hanging with him and learning about his family and life. I finally realized I was a fool for thinking we were any different because we had basically the same llfe growing up. We went undefeated the rest of the season and won state. He is still one of my closest friends and i still kick myself for thinking the way i did because we are all gods children brothers and sisters united. This movie reminded me of that peace i achieved and how much i love everyone regardless lf race.
You have to forgive yourself love. God has already forgiven you, when we were young we make judgments and mistakes and He knows that. Forgive yourself because the Lord already has. And look at y'all today, you're still super close friends, that's a blessing! 🙏🏼 What does beautiful story thank you for sharing
I dont know how much of this movie is dramatized, but i think more people need to understand its message. We can never win without unity. Divided we will collapse as a society. There are racists among us. People of all colors that hate or dismiss based on skin color alone, but those numbers are alot smaller today then they were then. And they get smaller every year because society is like the Titans. The closer we all get, the more we realize, our skin color doesnt change the fact that we are all the same. Blood, skin and bones. We all face hardship and triumph. I just wish we could all do it together
They actually downplayed the drama that was happening in real life for the movie. It was far more turmoil. Race played the biggest part in it … of course. But they actually didn’t show us the actual drama, and softened it up a bit.
@@Teedy_726this is in fact not true. The original team was so dominant they wiped the floor with all the competition. I’m surprised this isn’t common knowledge by now lmao, yeah they had problems but they weren’t worse than the movie lmao
One of the best movies of my childhood. Great story, wish our future would learn and not forget we have it better then those who were brave to gives us a voice now days
man, im glad things have changed since then....... nobody judges people based off their skin color and stereotypes nowadays. even tho we're different, we can still come together and love the team as a whole...... united as Americans...... oh wait..... nevermind. not a damn thing has changed 😂
If you research the movie **spoilers here** they say Ray and Birter’s girlfriend aren’t based on real characters but show the underlying prejudice some still had and were yet to get thru
The MOST POWERFULL part of this movie is when BOONE gets the kids up at 3am and jogs them to the field in Gettysburg. 100,000 brothers fighting the same fight against each other with hate and malice in their hearts.. HOT lead , a blood filled field , killing your own brother. Very Powerful..
great. now i have to watch this movie again. cus i watched it once back in the day and have no idea whats gonna happen so its like watching again for the first time

in my high school we never had great pre-game workout or chanting routines. When I first started playing I was intimidated by how well organized and fierce they looked in pregame routines and we were so low key. But over my three years were were 27-1-1. It seems as those team focused looking good in pregame stuff should have been focused on winning the game.
The beautiful thing we call a team; anywhere no matter what’s going on; you get on the damn page and play to be victorious!!! You can hate the guy next to you…… of the field; ya don’t allow ya man next to you to be weakened by your actions; that’s the sign of a coward with no conviction!! We call them a waste of a spot. Go be a fan.. reality of life man I love this movie
I've been in that situation where you have to decide on cutting a teammate from the team. Orr Middle School football team one of the guys got angry because of his playing time and he decided to quit the team. In 3 weeks later that he was coming back anarchus told him to come talk to us. Everyone except about four people voted to leave him off the team. I saw him in the hallway pools in west side and told him as his friend did he quit on us not just the coaches. That I also wanted for him to be off the team. He was not happy about it. By the time lunch came around the next day he came sit down he was like I get it
Gerry showed growth, cutting his best friend off the team. Integrity over hate.
