Quick and to the point as always guys nice work🤘🏻How about a “how to clean power valves” and what steps or if they need to be cleaned, or when you would clean them
see what Bruce and I can whip up
Great stuff as always Jesse - I visit that old belt deflection video quite a bit so thanks for the v2.0 version. Another great “classic” is the basics of suspension setup - the first one you guys did… I know you’ve done many, many more since but that og one was very helpful and still one I personally go back to - like yesterday haha
Thank you for the support and glad we can help out!
After riding 600’s all my life, I moved into an 850 Assault this year. There’s a lot of opinions out there on exhaust valve maintenance and also some chatter about breakage. I think a video from you guys on that topic would be helpful for a lot of guys. I searched for one from you and didn’t come across one so forgive me if you already have one out
Congrats on the upgrade youll be very happy! Powervalves weve never had an issue with but ive had so many requests for a video on that i will get with Bruce and do one. The breaking part idk. I beat the ever living crap out of my sleds trying to break them and i cannot break them so id say ride it hard!!
Thanks Jesse and Bruce! Learned a lot from your videos! If you guys ever want to come to Alaska and do some back country riding let me know!
Thank you for that! Maybe one day!
The best explanation on belt deflection I’ve seen. Thanks guys!
Thank you for the support! Glad It was a good one
Thx for vid.. While your at it. Track deflection is always a neglected part.
waiting on a part to do that video!
Would love to see some information about Power Valves maintenance and cleaning. 🙌🏼
THIS!!!!! Me too please!
ill see what Bruce and i can whip up
Just saw this video and went out to the shop and adjusted my secondary thanks waiting for snow up here in northern Ontario Canada 👍
Awesome! Cant wait for the snow to fly!
Well explained, and demonstrated, been (and continue) to be a BIG fan Jesse/Bruce
thank you! we appreciate you!
Great video, I have 2 new Indy’s at the cabin and I wondered about adjusting the belt tension. For a suggestion on a new video, how about doing a video on that little gold tool that holds the plastic fairing together. You know, the one just below the secondary sheaves.
thats to change belts. you run that into your secondary to separate the sheeves and loosen the belt
Awesome video thank you. I adjusted mine today and this video made it so easy.
awesome!!
Went sledding for the first time last winter and now I’m hooked. Think I’ve watched all your videos. Do you have one where you talk about the offset and what brand tool you prefer?
welcome to the club! so many guys get deep into this and we are not too sure why. weve never had an issue as long as you keep the factory spacers in the correct spot

Hey Jason. I didnt realize who i was messaging back. Nice to meet you. I was a crew guy for EPJ back in 2014/15 time frame. I was in your world for a ling time!
Man that’s cool. I’ve drank way too many with epj lol. They saying this might be his last year. If you ever coming through Illinois hit me up.
That makes two of us but we had a good time. any questions ever just reach out on facebook and i will definitely take you up on that!
Thanks for the tips, the boost has been shipped....
Thank you! Snd waiting for mine to show shipped!
I've got a Boost on the way. Good to know there is no deflection adjustment.
Thats why we are here!! Congrats on the new sled
Great video on belt delfection...how are you guys getting your sleds to stay on that angle in the shop?
thank you! we have a bar propped up under the sled. nothing special
Great videos guys .Could you do one on changing the bearing on the secondary clutch I have a 2021 Assault and every year I check the bearing and it's dry .
check back in the videos. we did a whole video on it!
I have learned a lot from you guys! What is your take on Belts!? Should we run the Polaris belt? I have run the Ultimamax xs801. I would like to see a show about belts. Thanks for all the awesome content! Thank Bruce as well!
thank you! i like the Polaris belts. I havent had any issues wit them and i try and blow them. Im very very hard on them. They wear out over time but id rather that then them exploding
Sorry to say but many dealers do not check offset or leadin in predelivery.. My sled was eating belts prematurely. I needed to buy the proper alignment tool. Would be nice to see a video on those aspects.
We've never had that kind of issue with belts or clutch alignment but i can see what we can whip up!
Great video!! Question…..Would a belt not set properly or a loose nut cause a sled to turn off. After I put a new belt on mine is squealing at very low speed or at a full stop and the other it turned off. 2019 RMK PRO 1100 miles.
yes if a belt is way too tight it will squeel and potentially stall the motor at idle. we touched on that in the video. if you put a new belt on and didnt adjust its WAY to tight
Great information! Would you have a recommendation on a clutch kit for a mostly trail ridden 21 850 Assault?
Thanks!
Thank you! Will from Velocity sled Performance is who you want! if your in the states his US distributor is Caputos Performance. All can be found on facebook
Would love to see a clutch kit install. I've been wondering if it's something I could do myself
Just have to search my man!! For the most part I have a video for every question you may have! See link below. From when I first started

Very good info. Thanks. Could there be a shock upgrade video . I have a Polaris xc and wondering about upgrades equivalent or better than assault walker Evans.
we have talked about this in a ton of videos. we highly recommend re-valving all shocks (WE or Fox) and re-springing to your weight. we can make any shock (for the most part) work really well
Thank you appreciate it
no thank you!
What’s your thoughts on Delrin washers in the secondary and primary? I’ve seen even a roller bearing for the secondary, I have a new 2024 RMK850
theyre good but i leave that to the clutch gods to tell ypu where etc. but in theory they work great as they help with binding
Thanks Bruce....oh yea...you too Jesse!! Jk! Seriously though, recently studded and replaced the belt under warranty due to a strange flaw in the factory belt but there was a kind of a jerking motion after watching this vid I checked the deflection with your guide! Thanks guys!
hope this helped and you were able to adjust!
So your saying after initial breakin the sleds with the adjuster on the secondary don`t have to use it any more. So if this is the case. Why does turbo sleds not have this adjustment for there initial breakin. P 22 clutches are all the same
no that is not what we said. P22 sleds do not need an adjuster bolt. Some dealers put them in the sleds to stop the "creep". all 85 clutch sleds need the adjuster bolt
How about a video on the 7s and its features?
On the list. Just have to do some studying first!
You should have mentioned that this procedure is identical on sleds with the team secondary all the way back to 2004.
agreed. but if people open the side panel and see this exact set up they will know theyre on the right track!
thanks guys, great!
Our pleasure!
