Hello there. I was just curious to know that we have Azure Data Factory ( which can also be used as Ingestion tool) but Why do we prefer Fivetran over that? I do have looked into many resources but I want some specific reason why to select fivetran having one of the azure services itself while designing a pipeline.
Although I haven't these tools much, my initial guess would be that Fivetran is more user-friendly and GUI. Whereas in ADF you have set up connection strings first and do a bunch of other stuff before migrating data. Plus ADF has added advantages if you are operating under Azure. You may call Fivetran an abstraction over ADF.😀

Can you point to physical files stored on a shared drive and make fivetran pick it from there automatically?

Thanks for the video, where do we have to install Fivetran ? Is it a cloud service as Snowflake which has its own cloud environment in AWS or Azure?
It is its own cloud service, no need to do any installing.

how relevant is importing from googlesheet, in an enterprise environment??
Depends on the company, this is just an example connection type. The same basic steps are used for other connections, such as databases.
