can fivetran support transformations that span multiple databases? ie i have user_ids in BigQuery and I have user_ids in Postgresql and I want to UNION the two lists into a new tbl that will live in AWS

hi - thanks for your video. why do you want a view to schedule? or just used it as an example for transform?

Good stuff, do you think many prod sites use FiveTran for transforms or more likely they use DBT or something else downstream?

Hey Doug - I think it depends on the company/developer and what their skillset is. Personally, I think a more scalable option would be to use something else downstream (ex. dbt).
Having said that, Fivetran also has an integration w/ dbt directly which I covered on a separate video. You can check it out here - ua-cam.com/video/R6ylxAv_eLI/v-deo.html
      Hope that helps!

sorry still dont understand why you want to use FiveTran for transformations vs. just running queries in Snowflake (im a beginner obviously lol)
