Severe thunderstorm knocks down trees, slows traffic, damages property, thousands of power outages

Thousands of customers are still without power Friday morning due to a powerful storm that passed through Wednesday evening.
Northwestern Energy reports half of the 40,000 customers that lost power had been restored as of 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
