Just bought the GT Explorer so I will benefit from the smaller front wheel. Love your style and I am definitely looking forward to better riding weather. Roll on Spring 25.
How did I miss this? Sweet ride man... Glad to have brought back the Johnny Pow monicker! We need to go to New Orleans on the Tiger and the Goldwing...
Happy to see your recovery is progressing really well. The mental stuff can be the hardest part of any recovery. But looking on the bright side...... that Tiger is a great looking bike, should serve you well as tourer. I Enjoyed this video, and those roads look awesome.
I just found your channel and subscribed. I bought a 22 Himalayan a year ago and was thinking of getting a better touring adventure motorcycle. I'm 5'9" ( 31" inseam) and I like the GS1250 Low suspension BMW. I never thought about a Triumph, but my Royal Enfield dealership is a Triumph dealer too. They have a 23 leftover white Rally Explorer. I've seen where you can hold the home button and the rear will lower to the lowest setting. It is a Tall bike for me, but so are the rest of the Triumph bikes. What I do like is the 3 year unlimited mileage warranty and that it's designed to compete with the BMW with the 8 gallon fuel tank. The 1200 I'm looking at does have the lower seat option and the price is $8,000 cheaper than the BMW which is a plus. Love the videos .
@@JohnDavis-ol7qg thank you very much! If you wouldn’t mind, if you see this in the next hour or so, would you mind casting a vote for me on the BDR film festival community choice happening now? Here’s the link:
@@JohnDavis-ol7qg and regarded BNW vs the Tiger…. Yeah it’s so close to pick a favorite. I loved riding the 1300 in the Dolomites, but as you mentioned there’s a value in the Tiger, plus it sounds great and the motor is super fun. I’m loving the Tiger
@@JohnnyPowRidesSo I was at my dealership getting a new tube replaced in my Himalayan and they dropped the price to $16,999. The Rally Explorer was way to tall for me to ride comfortably but they had a GT Explorer in blue for the same price. I can easily flat foot it with it having the low seat option. I traded my Himalayan in on it. I couldn't pass up the deal. I have upper crash bars ordered and I will put on Dunlop Trailmax mission tires on it and it will be great for the type of riding I will do. Safe for the back roads and a great highway cruiser. Saving $12,000 off of a BMW GS was a good reason too.
I enjoy all your videos. Believe it or not, the North South Gravel 50 is one of my favorites and I don’t ride bicycles. New bike looks badass. Hope to see how it does on the dirt/gravel roads.
Thank You so much for your comment. It especially makes me feel good because I know that the kind of videos I make don;t appeal to most, but I make them the way I like em. I hope to do many more adventures, on ALL the bikes (ahem, and scooters) soon, and to be able to share them.
Hey Johnny. Just busy watching your Canonball videos. I dig the music by the way. Reminds me of the movie Tron :). Just curious are you doing the 2025 CBR?
Hello and thank you for dropping by. I am definitely in for Scooter Cannonball in 2025. I'm locked in except I might make a last minute switch on my scooter. For now I plan to ride the same Vespa 300 - but there might be a strategic change, I'm not sure. Thank you for the comment.
@ excellent news. We shall be sure to track you. Just curious Johnny. How tall are you? Only reason I ask is I am considering changing my scooter to a Vespa. I like the style. And noticed many ised them to do the CBR.
@ I’m 6,2” and the GTS 300 fits me pretty comfortably. Other scooters let you stretch your legs out in front more but I don’t like that position I prefer more upright
@@JohnnyPowRides it might just be something in the lever adjustment , or the slave cylinder, air in the line, or it could be dags on the clutch basket, but i'd check the brake lines first , give it a quick bleed, or it might just need a jolly good thrashing to bed the clutch plates in, maybe try that after the first service

can't wait until spring and being able to ride this beast again

Nice ride! I thought the clutch was slipping also--maybe it's something to do with the quick shifter. Thanks!

sounds like the clutch is slipping
It certainly does - but why? on a brand new bike. I have the first service scheduled for next week. Hopefully can figure it out.
