- This video is a quick look at the Cessna Caravan's fuel system, as we've simulated in our Thranda Design C208 Cessna Caravan and C208B Grand Caravan for X-Plane 11.
The Caravan has two wing tanks holding a total of 332 US gallons of Jet A fuel. These feed through two fuel selector valves to a small 2-gallon reservoir tank that maintains a head of fuel for the engine to consume. There's an electric boost pump, as well as a warning system to warn when the fuel tank selectors are not in the correct position.
You can find out more information about the Caravan on the X-Plane.Org forums here:

Joe, your aircraft and systems tutorials are superb! I can’t wait for Thranda’s Caravan!
you are the best instructor. thank you so much.
Thanks!
I am impressed! Thank you! This very nicely answered my comment on your other post. I'm looking forward to seeing more tutorials!
Looking good joe!!!
It's looking great, Joe! I'm looking forward to flying it.
Very instructive! Thanks
Subbed! Awesome video, keep making great content!
My question:
Does the fuel run down from the ceiling level to that list area you mentioned through the A-pillars/frames of the forward windows, or through that slim divider/frame at the front centre of the windscreen/windshield?
I'm just curious which way the fuel goes down. Thanks.
With what keys are you move free view in the cockpit ?
I want this in DCS with Hellfires and APKWS rockets!!!
Is the fuel burn imbalance modeled, and does the fuel warn come on in uncoordinated turns with low fuel?
We haven't modelled the fuel burn imbalance, but we are looking into modelling the cross-feed that can happen when both selectors are on and the plane is not in coordinated flight (or is parked on a slope). We were worried people would think that behavior was a bug, heh.
Idk why I watched this. But I did. WTF.
