Rebuilding the city from the Bottom-Up

As part of "reclaiming the city" I facilitated a kick-off activity before the inspirational talk by by Lorenzo Kom'boa Ervin, former Black Panther and author of Anarchism and the Black Revolution, and his wife JoNina Abron-Ervin, Black Panther organizer and author of Driven by the Movement: Activists of the Black Power Era. I asked people to build with objects, and share their favorite childhood memory with the group to break down the barriers to help co-envision the future of our urban environs as a commons.
