      Yeah, is it going to be a Fender or Gibson, or maybe a Fender, or a Gibson. Such variety, you never can guess what it'll be.

      ​@@johndeaux3703 If you look at Norm's shopping haul videos, it's always like 80% Fender/Gibson/Martin, with just the odd Rickenbacker or Epiphone etc thrown in. It's driven by the vintage market, that's what holds value for collectors. If you want to check out more variety of guitars and modern brands, check out, literally any other guitar channel lol.

      @@papersquares I get the vintage market is driven by baby-boomer fudds who only like Fender and Gibson. I only watch this channel for Lemmo's playing, not for the same old LP, Strat, Tele'zzzzz zzzzz.

    Love the early Goldtops, especially the '52 and '54s. This one is real nice. Great sound and tone. I'd take one of these over a '59/'60s Burst any day.

      Don, I have heard rumors that the P90 pickups have a lot of noise to them, when not actually being playing like some feedback sort of or something. Any truth in this?

      @@theguitargeezer878 Some do, like vintage Fender . You can hear a bit of a hum when Mike turns up the volume in this video. I have no problem with mine.

      I've seen them before and I definitely concur! The best thing about their shows is that they change the set up EVERY show. So, it's rare that you will see the same show each time you see them.

      @@sixbladeknife44 Indeed, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin would follow in two and four weeks respectively after Wilson's passing. His death perhaps a bit overshadowed by their larger star status.

      monte michel bleu Agree, and he was probably the greatest authority on Blues history during that time...in addition to being the heart and soul of Canned Heat and a serious environmentalist. Thankful for his music, but it does make me a little sad that his death was overshadowed by the other ones.

      Well Mark went through just about all the holy grails of vintage guitars - nocaster, black guard teles, goldtops, 54' strats, old rickenbackers, all types of les pauls, acoustics like martins and j-45's, misc. oddities, etc., so they've all been done really. The only new thing would be Michael's playing.

    classic schtic , great sound . luv the P90's , just straight up , in your face , R n $#%^ing R , and this kit is a 54' , that's incredible , almost 65 years old and plays Van Halen without breaking a sweat , definitely the coolest guitar here in a while , could listen to Lemmo rock out all day long , very nice , and well done , thanks guys.

    Finally he played an entire set of good stuff and let the guitar shine on its own without any sort of effects.
    I wanna hear what a dude with just an amp and guitar can do, don't need a bunch of fancy pedals and stuff.
    Well that is unless you're skilled with a talk box like Frampton or Walsh.

      I believe that is a popular misconception. The solo in itself is too chaotic and out-of-time to have been played by a seasoned session guitarista as Jimmy was. It is more likely to have been played by a 16 year old Dave Davies.

    Just gotta say I like Lemmo far more than Mark. I’m fairly new to the this channel as saw mark for about 5 months before he left to play authentic. Lemmo’s playing and style is better to watch from a young dude like me

      same boat, and Mark's great, but Lemmo i think has a playing style much better suited to GOTD format. being able to jam as well as throw in some songs everyone will know is super valuable, plus im a fan of the looper. that said, Mark signing off with Dont Look Back In Anger was amazing.

    Interesting at 4:36 how the maple top is showing at the cutaway. Thought this was a recent gem from Gibson. Didn't know this vibe went back to '54. Great axe, Lemmo! Nice demo!

    love it. Love the guitare, love the playing, love Lemmo and Jen's vibe. One small...not complaint exactly... one small critique, maybe. i like hearing more historical details about the guitar, about the model and how it changes from year to year and what makes a '54 different from another year. Some of those old Mark Agnesi guitar-nerd OCD details.

    The underrated sound on all gibsons is the middle,pick up selector with both volumes rolled back to half. Sounds Webster on p90's. Great to see a p90 l.p. On here.

    Please hold the camera steady in front when demoing a guitar so we can see what's get to be played :) Lemmo played some cool stuff in this one and it would be nice to see chords ect… Sorry it's not because I want to sound like a bitter guy, but it would be a lot better! :)
