What a gorgeous bloom. She is lovely. With your vandas they just love you for how you care for them so they are blooming again or sending you two spikes at a time. Thank you for sharing and it is so amazing your orchids. Have a great day.
The chysis blooms are lovely! And the roots look fantastic. Your D. Cuthbertsonii are so cute! And the Phal bloom behind them is so pretty! Nice update on the lights. I hope those orchids bloom for your.🙂
Thank you! The phals name is AL Redsun Queen ‘Pylo’s Perfume’ AM/AOS, it is very fragrant and fills the tank with pleasant smell from just one flower :)
Hi Orchideya! Your plants are doing amazing! It is great that the lights you are trying are working out well so far! Gives you more useable space! Can’t wait to see your buds in bloom. Lots to look forward to. Congratulations on the Vanda double spike! You keep your plants very happy!! Take care! 😀🌺
Thank you Beverly! I also have buds on both nobile dendrobiums that you sent me, so exciting. I can feel the spring coming (although its -20C outside right now, lol)
Great update! Everything is looking really good. It's exciting to see all the spikes and buds come in! It's nice that tricolor is able to give you a second spike so soon 😀
Your Chysis bloom is gorgeous, did you mention if it is fragrant? You will have an explosion of orchid blooms when all those in bud open. I watch your video in awe simply because of the diversity of your orchids and hoyas. If something doesn't work out in your tank, you find another solution. Here in England we can no longer purchase orchids from Europe and we have no trade agreement yet with the USA, so our options are very limited. I have always taken care of all my orchids, but now they are even more precious. Thank you for sharing Orchideya 😊
Thank you so much Margaret! I hope orchids importing situation gets better for you. We still get some shipments from overseas but the prices went up considerably this spring, especially considering that imported plants require additional time and care to adjust. Now I can't afford to purchase as many orchids as I could before. I am happy that these last couple years I was buying orchids like crazy and collected almost everything I wanted, lol. Yes, my chysis has slight sweet fragrance, very pleasant but not strong.
Nice update, your plants are all looking beautiful. Your D. tobaense is amazing, it will be nice to see it in flower again. Its not available in EU anywhere, I must be patient😄
@@Orchideya yeah I killed one years ago but I'd like to try it again 😁 I believe it is named for lake Toba in Sumatra, which by a funny coincidence I visited in 1993 which was also the year it was discovered, but I had no idea at the time 😁. The lake has fascinating geography and folklore, so truly a magical species😁
you really have amazing orchids and garden wow!! I have seen you have a phal mini mark in some of your videos, I recently got one as a new orchid enthusiast and was wondering if the mini mark requires different care than a common (grocery store) phal? I really want him to thrive and looking forward to hear how you care specifically for the mini mark, happy growing and thank you for the great content!! 🤗
Thank you so much! Sorry, I don't have Mini Mark, but all my phals live inside the glass tank. Temps about +25C, humidity 80%, they are either in clay pots with sphagnum moss or plastic pots with bark and perlite mix. I water when the medium is dry and roots become silvery. I use Dyna Gro Orchid Pro fertilizer at half recommended strength. Hope it helps.
Wow, incredible for the vanda species! Yes happy vandas bloom 2xs a year in Canada. Go figure. Your den tobaense is just amazing! Wow. It looks pretty in the backdrop of your cuthbertsonii types and senile. Cool that your didieri is doing so well. Definitely prefers warmer humid conditions. Thanks for the Snakeskin!!! OMG that has AMAZING flowers. It's probably a few years from blooming but I will do my best to not kill it eeeks..... I am not sure what I can trade for it. Maybe you will want to try a disa if I can get more than 1 to spike! There will be some Jimmeny Cricket divisions as well. What's happening with the psychopsis? Was it a spike? Mine is growing a new bud yet again.
Thank you!The psychopsis thing is slowly growing but by the way it is getting wider - it seems like it will be a new bulb :(. I will be happy to get a division of your J.Cricket, but only if you have a spare one :) The phal keiki is pretty large, I think it is a blooming sized now and should spike for you as soon as it gets adjusted to your home. Didieri is such a treasure, thank you so much for sending it to me, I wish all angraecoids were like that...
Everything is looking great! I’m curious if you give your Chysis a dry winter rest like Catasetums get where you don’t water until new growth roots are long? I have a Chysis limminghei and I stopped watering in the late Fall. So far no shriveling but no new growth yet.
Thank you! My chysis didn't get winter rest. I just continued watering it and feeding as always. It is my second year/blooming with this plant. Last year it was inside my tank warm and humid all year, no rest also and it bloomed. So I decided that rest is not that important for chysis. Hope you see the growth soon, spring should wake it up and then the spike comes out shortly after new growth start. Limminghei is the prettiest one, its on my wish list :)
@@Orchideya hmmm now you got me thinking…start watering or don’t….Ithink I’m going to start watering. I didn’t think there was shriveling but actually the oldest growth is pretty shriveled and I only have 3 growths! Thanks so much for sharing!
@@Orchideya lol so I went to water and there is a new growth starting from the 2nd oldest growth about an inch above the media. I think I’ll repot this weekend. I went ahead and watered too.
Wow beautiful sharing😍😍
I love nature and plants thanks💕💕
Thank you!
Beautiful 💐

Thank you! I really didn't expect two spikes, so excited :)
How exciting to see your Vanda finally blooming soon, 9 years wow!!! Mines die for some reason. Great video! 🌸👏❤️🌸
Thank you so much! Sometimes it takes long to get the first blooming on a vanda but after that it should be much easier to get the spikes :)

nice update. Everything looks so good...leaves spotless. Thanks for sharing!

So many beautiful plants, this was a mega update! What a strange problem with your Vanda, I hope it recovers for you soon soon.
Thank you so much, I hope so too. It started to open the blooms and they are small and very pale, probably because plant is sick...
