- Abandoned Brookshire's - Lake Worth, TX. In this video, we do a little walk around this bigger grocery store that closed in part to its high prices wheras competitors are what people chose over. Wonder what will be done with the place.

There is no obligation and I'm not asking you to! All proceeds go toward expenses involved in travelling to film for you guys. I do not make a profit. Thank you! - Розваги
Being employed by a Canadian Grocery Giant, it is scary to see this type of business abandoned and so empty. Thanks Wallie!
that was the grocery store my family always shopped at and honestly i never thought i would miss a grocery store but i do. it had more charm than the other grocery stores in the area.
Yes the Dr. Pepper shakes are very good. Albertsons is part of the United Supermarkets family as Safeway to name a couple. Our H-E-B opens here in Lubbock in a few dsys plus they are building a second location.
Another great vid Wallie!🤗
A lot of the parking lots in that area of Texas are made of concrete...compared to Virginia where they're almost always asphalt with huge craters in them.
You guys should visit that old steak house with the big bingo sign in lake worth right off the high way!
Good video! Look like this place can be repurposed into something! It's not in bad shape! Super big parking lot too!
That's enormous! Thank you for sharing🎃👻
Good work man keep it up!
One nice former grocery store. The inside looks nice with bright colors not all the new greys like the new places.
Great video Wallie
I worked at that location in 2006 for Brookshires. I was doing a reset in the meat department for only 2 weeks. That location was a low volume Winn Dixie that Brookshire bought on the cheap. I quit the grocery business about 6 months after I worked in lake Worth and ended my 31 year career.
Awesome 👍👍 video
This originally opened as a Winn Dixie
You mentioned going to Albertsons where that one in Lake Worth is at one time was The Corral Drive-In movie theater reason I know that l lived in White Settlement Texas in the late 70s and 80s. And at one time there was a Kmart and KROGER they were located on jacksboro highway I do not know what stores are sitting there now
Keep up the good work on your videos / I also like your live streams also 😊🎃🎃
I live in lake worth its gana be a big lots.. can't wait
Cool 😀
awesome
It’s an old Winn Dixie it’s a newer older Winn Dixie
Yup it replaced the Winn Dixie that was directly across the Street (now majestic liquor).. the Winn Dixie it replaced was originally operated as a Buddies. That location closed in 2019 and had operated as a grocery store from the 1950s… Since this video was posted the building has been sectioned into 2 business. Half of the building including the main entrance is a Big Lots and the small section is a Specs Liquor
A great TX video, Wallie! On your previous video, you mentioned that you and Kayla are getting married and moving to TX next summer. I'm so happy for both of you! After you move to TX, are going to come back up to Pittsburgh and even Lake Erie sometimes for a vacation?
They must have bought a group of Winn Dixie in Texas
They did, my dad worked there when it was a Winn Dixie, then I worked there about a year before it closed down.
When you go back to Texas check out the Houston Gallery in Houston. There's a Toys R Us In the mall.
Cool. I live here
I hope one day this former Brookshires will be a Giant Eagle someday.
I live in lake worth I went there all the time
I live on huron
Ashamed people dump stuff they should be caught and find
I live down the street, lots of illegal things done in that parking lot and I’ve done some of them 😂
This bldg now a Big Lots Store.
The lighting probably controlled by computers along with the HVAC . Nobody likely got around to updating it.
That looks like it was a Winn Dixie Marketplace before them Mainly because of floorbtile design the awnings inside and out are Winn Dixie design
It was originally a WinnDixie
Do the old motel in mineral wells
Very reminiscent of a Winn Dixie store
Because it was a Winn Dixie years ago.
And Now Winn Dixie The Grocery Store Is Finally Ready To Open in 6708 Lake Worth Boulevard Lake Worth Texas
Awesome! Brookshires definitely reminds me of Kroger.
How many Dr pepper shakes does it take to get from Texas to Pennsylvania?
You mention Shiner beer I like the Oktoberfest it’s good
Don't forget the cheer
I'll second that to the Oktoberfest
👍👍
Hello,
I have a feeling that in the next two years you will have a ton of businesses, mostly small businesses that will go out of business and you will have videos for years to come. A lot of them won't survive 2020, and depending on what happens in the next couple of months, the ones that have made a comeback will get shut down and go out for good.
I just wish I could go back to a time where things and to a certain extent people made some semblance of sense. I think we've passed that point and we're never going back to what may be considered a simpler time. It just won't be allowed.
Also, did you have a swinging mini candle in the back? :)

was befor winn dixie
Cash Saver literally across the street and dollar general killed them smh.
Heb bought it recently
Where the doors are that reminded me of Walmart
I was sad when they announced they were shutting their doors, but I wasn't surprised. I've lived in lake worth my whole life. It use to be a winn dixie and then turned into Brookshire. I loved it.
You should drop an LS in that Cavalier....twin turbo LS actually
I read that there was actually a manufacturer turbo upgrade for the 2.4 Twin Cam that's in my Z24. I debated on getting a turbo for it just for the heck of it. Lol

There's an HEB up in north Texas? I thought Krogers and Tom Thumb dominated all of north Texas
And the one in azle is being remodeled
I believe it's pronounced as brook-shures
This looks like a old Winn Dixie before it was a Brookshire's
I use to work for Brookshires. They bought 5 Winn/Dixie 2 years ago in Louisiana. Again in 2016 they bought out 25 neighbor wal-marts
It was a Winn Dixie years ago.
It was originall a WinnDixie
It was never busy
The prices they change they can afford to leave the lights on my brother yankee...”BrookShIres”
Ask Kayla how to say it Texan
Baltimore native here now living in. East Texas
Second
That building did not look that old
It open in 1996 as a WinnDixie
First impression: That facade kinda looks Albertsons-ish.
First!
😡
Well, I see that Máster Last is here. Where is Máster First at?
