  • Ortega considers that there was a precedent that, let's say, was unexpected for all of modern philosophy: Christianity. Descartes, Kant, Nietzsche, postmodernism…! collecting the Christian legacy? Who could have said it!
    But the most important thing is that Ortega intends to overcome these precedents with his philosophy, as well as that of the previous philosophy, the realist one, which comes from Greece. However, overcoming them means that you must first incorporate them. In this third video of the four that make up the series we will see how Ortega goes through with Descartes the arguments that led him to found his philosophy, thus preparing the jump to the exposition of his “vital reason”, whose explanation will be, above all, the object of the fourth video.
