Thank you for clarifying and showing footage of both China and the U.S. I am in the U.S. and don't drive and it impacts me greatly. I have lived in NJ and Chicago and they have pretty good transit systems but they are nothing compared to China. It's exactly as you said: they're doing it for the people. It's a totally different way of functioning as a government. Americans can keep talking badly about China, but they will keep innovating and taking care of their people.
As someone who's visited USA a few times... Some of the older stations in the USA were for their time one of the best NY and Chicago for example. The much maligned NYC subway was great back in the day. Then there's other systems like National Parks , highway system, canals, dams etc which at some point were big Government projects. Even the internet grew out of DARPA. Somehow in the last few decades it appears that government has just handed over control to private sector and not building NEW infrastructure.
Did you notice all the people in the train station, those waiting on the platforms for trains? Built for the people, it is desolate of activity. I didn't see a single passenger or train in the station during this video.
@@sxjthefirstisn’t this so called privatisation of these utility companies which happened right cross the western world but really made the people suffer so much? China is doing the opposite but its people have been benefiting. What do we want? A government that’s only paying lip services and pissing off after x year/s? Or a government that can consistently do things that make everything works better?
You are so right. China is building this infrastructure for its people. It has a very big population that works hard and deserves good amenities. When you travel to US, you realise how little the government cares for those on lowered incomes because it doesn’t prioritise public transport and amenities.
Exactly! The government here in the U.S. should be pushing for more public parks, public walking trails, and public transit! They should be caring about our general health and ability to explore, but they are too busy being petty and focusing on everything but their own citizens.
I bet you if Elon Musk funded an identical train station in the US or Europe those same critics of China would be falling over themselves praising how innovative and awesome it is.
This shows us that the government of each country must pay attention to the welfare of its citizens so that the country can progress quickly and not interfere in the affairs of other countries.
Thank you blogger for your true report on China. China is a beautiful country. The Chinese people like peace and development and are helpful. Friends from all over the world are welcome to travel to China. I am in Suzhou. Welcome to Suzhou and contact me!
Infrastructure facilitates goods and people transportation. China needs to serve its vast population and it's on the right track. Sure, there will be problems along the way, but solvable. Rafa, your content is valuable because you are on-site and real! You'll have more followers for sure.
Absolutely mind-blowing to see China setting new standards in infrastructure with this railway station! It looks more like a futuristic airport than a train station. China truly knows how to build for the future and make travel a next-level experience. Huge respect! 🚄👏
Could you take us to look behind the scenes on the design of these railway stations? Who are the architects and engineers, how they come up with the design, who were the designers behind all these fantastic designs.
Have you heard about the xiongan station, located in xiongan new area. Though it's still under construction and it's expected to be the largest train station in Asia 🎉
Any govt - funded public service is not meant to make a profit but to provide an easily affordable necessary daily service to the country's community! A public service should never have the financial aim of enriching the govt but to serve the people and not to profit from the people!
Most, if not all, train stations and airports in America remain largely unchanged from what they were 20 years ago. Except trilliums money has been printed the US infrastructure has seen minimal updates, and many facilities still reflect an era long past, with limited improvements in both design and functionality. Compared to the rapid advancements in transportation hubs around the world, American stations and airports often feel outdated, lacking the modern amenities, efficiency, and innovation that one would expect in the 21st century.
I assume it will be quite costly to maintain all this but it comes to a great benefit for the people and this actually what a country is there for. China provides, especially when it comes to infrastructure. Other countries barely can keep up or dont keep up at all.
Chinese train stations are not as convenient as NYC subways. Chinese stations/subways might be modern but it is rather boring, in NYC subways, you can sleep and pee anywhere, so convenient!
It's great that you include drone footage from Chinese accounts, it really enhances yours. I'd like also to include a map of where Hanghzou is so that people can understand the location better.
Of course the train stations in China are big. The country has 1.4 billion people! And big stations can feel less overcrowded and don't stress the commuters out. Long travels can be more enjoyable.
The U.S. has a much lower population density, most people own cars or they fly, it wouldn’t make any economic sense to build trains when planes are faster.
NYC Subway station feels more than just outdated. It is OUTDATED. When I travel, there is the thought that making our travel more comfortable, reliable, and safe is not a priority in the US. It was easy for me to use public transportation in Beijing, although I could not speak or understand the language. There was information in English.
China doesn't perform miracles... China shows what can be done in reality and that it is possible to do it fast, cost efficient and beneficial bottoms up Its about the political will how to built and form a society
11 Platforms and the station looks this empty. I can safely say hardly anyone is using this station. It is going to turn into another ghost station sooner or later. This is supposed to be a train station yet, we have not seen a single train. There is nothing mind blowing about this station. You only talked on and on about the size of it but you have not told us how many people use it daily. Let me give you an example of mind blowing. Shinjiku station has 35 platforms and has over 200 exits and moves 3.59 million people DAILY (2018 statistic).
Seemingly, only one thing is missing: passengers. You didn't show a single train, and nobody awaits on the platforms. It is so efficient nobody is waiting for trains. How many trains and people use the station daily that makes this a profitable endeavor? I have seen their amazing Airport terminals that are equally empty of customers. As people struggle with unfinished Apartments and hundreds of millions of Unfinished Apartments, it doesn't add up. The birth rate crisis and rapidly declining population. It's beautiful but looks like a dead Mega shopping mall with all the bells and whistles.

Surely the station must handle more than 50,000 passengers per day. That number is way too low.
