I just got one. There is a ton of stuff going on with them. The action almost reminds me of a bass hitting on a small snake. If you ever seen a spooked snake come across the water with it's head in the air a bit, they throw about the same wake. Can't wait for things to thaw out to try this thing. Nice hog Gramps! I used to be a fisheries biologist with the Indiana DNR in that area back in 2009 and 2010... Nice to see the bass fishing is still good. Anyways, I bought a few of those Hellraizers last Black Friday and now you've got me stoked to throw them. I'm definitely trying your retrieve techniques. Thanks for the video, and tight lines!

This is the first video I have watched on the Z-man Hellraizer. Very strange action. It almost sounds like a gimmick but you put on a clinic with it. Also it didnt hurt to throw it on that beautiful Shimano Poison Adrena. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

I got a couple about a month ago. My only complaint is that the large treble hook and the middle line tie makes it get tangled up a lot

I had to go and buy 2 of these after this video. Quick question about that board you have your fish finder mounted to from Navarre kayak fishing. Does it get in the way of you steering the kayak with foot pegs
nope not at all, because you really have to steer them using the bottom part of the pedal to get them to slide easily.

What color way were I using?
Awesome lure but very fragile. The wire that connectst the lure to the rear hook and blade is very thin and pliable. I've had two of these lures break after catching one fish. I hope Zman can fix this problem. Otherwise the lure is incredible. It does hunt like crazy. Fun to throw.
This bait is very productive in alot of conditions, however it's downside is the wire isn't flexible enough and snaps way to easily. And the biggest problem with that is the back hooks are attached to the chatter hardware so when it does fail you'll loose the fish and leave him with all that hardware in his mouth. And unless they fix this I won't be spending over $15 for another one.
I will be getting more after seeing these in action on Kentucky Lake at the National Championship. Just wish I didn't loose the one I had, big sads.

It has a similar spitting action to a buzz bait. Not as weedless obviously. I look forward to throwing it on a certain river spot that gets bombarded with whopper ploppers

what does that even mean? I've already caught 30 bass on the first one... and that was just last fall. I'll be starting the season with the same exact one.
