Just did this today, very happy with how it turned out! This is a mixture of N's theme, N's Castle theme and his toy room theme all together. I realize the middle castle theme is not a waltz but by the time I realized my mistake I'd already made that image to go with the video and couldn't go back and edit it because I didn't save the microsoft publisher file haha

Used to listen to this nearly daily when I was 12, i'm 22 now and this has found it's way back into my playlist. To this day I believe this is the *best* remix of N's castle theme, this particular video gives me so much nostalgia, thanks :)

this is freaking genius. its the little music box chime that makes it super creepy, because it reminds me of the innocence of a child, which fit's N character very well.
N's music always creeps me out... He is definitely my favorite character of all time now.
He is the very definition of an antagonist, but he is also a kind of tragic hero. They put some serious effort into his story, and I'm glad they did.

I swear this is like taking the best bits from the Harry Potter theme and your choice of a Ghost's theme and adding an upbeat organ for fun.
N's tale is one of Villany, Innocence, guilt, and redemption. Raised far from the world outside the castle walls, N was brought up believing himself a king, manipulated by his father Ghetsis. From this, N became a warped man, with skewed world views. He was indeed innocent of mind of his wrong doing; but didn't know he did wrong. N eventually saw the truth, though to his horror, the world of Pokemon wasn't what his upbringing had taught him; I can only imagine that earth shattering realization.
I just finished the game and came to listen to this. I actually hadn't before, because I didn't want to hear a better version of the Castle theme before I heard the original xD

N is the greatest thing that happened to Pokemon. One of the coolest antagonists ever.

I love this, it reminds me of those BGMs from Trickster Online which played in an old school full of ghosts. It's in the way you remixed it. It implies there is something big behind the melody and that's exactly what this most favourite BW BGM of mine needed to be perfect! Thank you ^^

Lovely composition of the two songs. Gives a nice slow intro to the action filled Castle theme then slowly fades out again like it was never here.

Anyways, this magnificent! I love the transition from N's Encounter theme to N's Castle theme. This has to be the most creative arrangement I've ever heard. Also, great ending with the celesta/music box(?)! :D

I've convinced myself (based on Masuda's revealed info on him) that he's becoming a Pokemon.
@MissBMoon Ghentis definately IS N's father, if I'm not mistaken they say that in the game, and they also say that Harmonia is their last name.

I stayed in the music room for such a long time, and all of the times he spoke to me I just gazed off listening to the music :p
Its an amazing song.... I wish there was a score/sheet music so the orchestra I'm in could play it. It would be so cool for the summer concert. Leave the audience in awe before we break for summer, then come back in the fall.
I don't know who this N fellow is, nor am I familiar with his theme (or anything else from Black/White), but this is one beautiful piece you've got here.
Unlike most remixers out there, you have an excellent taste in music. Seriously, this was just amazing.

In Black and White there are a Zorua and a Zoroark that are casting illusions to make themselves look like humans.
The Zorua is the mute boy in the Game Freak headquarters in Castelia and the Zoroark is the mute woman in the trailer that's parked at Lostlorn Forest.
And N is rumored to have been born of a Pokemon. But the fact that he's not a mute like the others makes it unlikely that he was born from a Zoroark.
He was probably created by a legendary or something.
I love this song and it sounds like a soundtrack you would hear in Super Paper Mario.

@OrbitZombie Well yes, and considering the fact that N sees Pokemon and humans as separately as he does and calling himself human, that theory is a huge longshot. You're right that the ponytail thing may be just to look like Zoroark, or maybe the designers didn't even notice. I played through the whole game before I saw the resemblance. It's just a thought I felt like sharing. It's possible, but not very probable.

True, but this song also has some uplifting elements, as well as mysterious past and future posibility-type sounds incorperated in it, making it good for a wedding as well as being an awesome song. I can see your point in thinking it odd for a wedding, and i can see the other side of it being perfect for a wedding. either way this song truly is hard to put a finger on its type when you think about it. oh and Congrats on ur wedding bluesweet14 :):):):)
@PkmnTrainerPalu Unfortunately I really don't make sheet music for most of my arrangements (actually the ONLY one I have music for is my recent New Bark Town arrangement). This is mostly because I kind of create as I go so there's no score pre-written out before I make the song
Oh my gosh, I happened to be starting up my game when I was playing this vid, and so I got this music combined with the opening clip about N being crowned, it was AWESOME! N is definatly one of the coolest character's they've come up with so far.
@ms9276 Part of it was from his room/the theme that plays when you encounter him. The rest was from the castle theme.

I've made a connection. And i have figured out something. Once, i saw a Zoroua/Zoroark in the Hart Gold and Soul Silver versions. I have both games, and in each of them, i went to the safari zone. I saw a girl under a tent, and i went to talk to her. When i came up to her, she said abolutely nothing... This could one of the two shape-shifting pokemon.
@wolfspeaker2204 When you say the point of B/W is to not be mean to people over beliefs, you're right. The creator made it based off of New York City and wanted it to be mainly unity and harmony, hinting by the Unity Tower off of the coast of Castelia City and even N and Ghetsis's last name: Harmonia which sounds alot like Harmony.
And wether or not you like Harry Potter is an opionion, nothing we need to judge people on. It's you're choice, like it's my choice if I like the STL Blues or not.

Here's a theory I haven't heard before about N supposedly being born from Pokemon. What if he was injected with Mew blood when he was a kid. And since Mew had DNA from all Pokemon, it would explain why he can understand them. It would also explain why Ghetsis kept N in his room, he wanted to see how the Mew blood would affect N without risking any other variables. Since most of the comments were on this subject, I thought I'd throw in my two cents.
Remember how people often describe N as literally "coming from Pokemon"? Remember how Zoroark is his strongest Pokemon in the last battle with him? Remember how Zoroark is known as a shape-shifter? Now, take a look at N's ponytail and other strange features about him and think...
it would be something like
part 1- N in his room
part 2- N in his room
part 3- N in his room
....
part 14- N in his room
....
part 18- N being crowned
part 19- N meets trainer
....
part 30- N is defeated and makes a suicidal leap
extra scene- N flies off on his Reshiram/Zekrom... To be Continued.
What's not to believe? This is an amazing piece! I'm really impressed by how well everything goes together...I see pictures of a ballroom in my mind when i listen to tghis and I wish I could have this melody on a music box.
I love how all the 'N IS ZOROARK' comments are completely disproved when in Black and White 2, you get N's Zorua to use, showing he's a completely different being. XD

Even though N's theory about being a Zoroark is interesting, think about this: Ghetsis was nuts and he wanted N believe that he literally came from Pokemon so N would feel more need of protecting them by being the hero. So maybe nuts it's not the word I'm looking for... Ghetsis was evil and very smart... evilly smart!
What I think happened is think N is, secretly, the child of 2 Zoroark.
Ghetsis took him in and taught him English.
As for his Menger Cube... Well, that`s what keeps him in his "human" form.
If the cube is ever taken off his belt, he will revert to the Zoroark he once was...

Okay this would have made an awesome cutscene, ur character finishes talking to ghetsis in the begining then turns dark fr some reason, then N comes out of the shadows, talks to you battle wlak back into shadows and light again, a bit more creepy u know
He's referring to the use of the word Waltz in the musical sense; why is it that kids these days don't know music other than DubStep, Hip Hop/Rap/R&B, and Rock?
Waltz was a genre of music that was usually played in Ballrooms. It is also the name of a dance typically done at a Prom (or it was, before all these weird new dances showed up).
I'm only 17 and I still know all this. And I make DubStep on the side!
