It has been inspiring over the past decade since posting this video to see all of the heartfelt comments and wonderful memories this arrangement has stirred in people. I'm glad everyone can enjoy this together :)
I feel really sorry for N, and when he said his last farewell speech, I really did cry. Every time I got to a new town, I was looking forward to meeting him again, and now since he left his castle, I feel really sad. But then I found out that in the second game that every season, for one Friday, you can ride the ferris wheel with him and you can go back to his castle and battle him again for re-matches.
For quite a while in my life, I found it hard to believe that any gen could live up to Gen 1, but Gen 5 proved me wrong. The character development of N and everyone else... Everything that happened was amazing and well thought out. Not to mention the TEARS. I cried for countless hours.
How does one song have the power to pull up all my love, nostalgia, memories, fond moments, tearful moments, raging moments, peaceful moments spent with my pokemon....all at once? I started crying listening to this, i admit. I wish I could tell all my pokemon how much I love them. That it doesn't matter that they are little animations on the screen. My imagination, heart, and drive made them real to me. I grew fond and attached. I felt them as real.
Theinsanegamer10 The mark of a good story is when the characters become real. They cry, you cry. They laugh, you laugh. You share the pain and hurt with N when Ghetsis revealed his plan. You cry with your partner as you disappear out of the timeline. This is why i prefer the games to the anime. I don't want to see the joy of beating that last gym leader, to see how the villain is defeated. I want to be the one to do those things. I want to love each of my pokemon, pixels and binary data though they may be, they are real to me.
said like a true person who is not afraid to share feelings. i completely and utterly agree with you, i too wish i can just tell my pokemon how much they matter to me, and that saddens me. well said my friend, i should give you a cookie!
It's funny how emotions don't know or simply do not care about fantasy versus reality, they are prone to getting attached to anything that invokes them..does that make us foolish? No, it just means we have hearts. If all it takes is a powerful character that we can relate to, then it just means that we are capable of being just like that to real people, for so many of us doubt our abilities when they are there.
...Samurrot...I nicknamed you Oshie, so Oshie, you were my best friend. I still have you, and X will never live up to White or Black. Not only will this song remind me of you, but it will also remind me of my childhood. It was great, and it really sucks to grow up. But don't worry, I'm never letting you go. Never. People may call me a nerd for playing, and writing this, but I don't care. We'll just beat them in a battle. ;)
In pokemon emerald i have my first pokemon , a mudkip , that called Archeidem7(random because fast forward) after this is my best pokemon , i play in adventure with him in every pokemon game
When N finally left, I cried. I love N and he will remain my favorite. No matter what new guys are back. This by far is one of the saddest stories of what I know of. I I haven't played the X and Y but I just don't think it's the same...
this piece right here, is the most beautiful and powerful pieces of music pokemon have released. The way N told you what he was going to do next, and how satisfying it was when Ghetsis was finally defeated brought tears to my eyes. this game will forever have a special place in my memory... a place only reserved for the best ( Ruby, saphire, emerald and colloseum are my favorites though)
The storyline of Black/White is probably the deepest in all the Pokemon main series games, and shows what the franchise can be if its take it seriously. N wasnt a villain for me, at the end he was trying to help, not for his own selfish motives. He reminds me of the reason why i love pokemon everytime i replay the game. Damn i went emotional. Unova, farewell and ill miss you, and to those of you who say this region ruined the franchise, i respectfully give you the middle finger genwunners.
I didn't cry when I heard this, but I can understand why some people did. They felt sad because N had finally understood why people and Pokemon can get along and accepts it, but he feels he has to leave because he needs to learn more about the bond between a human and Pokemon, do some soul searching. He then leaves with a heartwarming and tear jerking goodbye.
Last year, on my birthday, I got Pokemon Black. I remember, when I finished the game, I was crying like a baby. I was, and am still, very sad to see him go. It seemed like he was real. That's how well-written he is. One year later, I'm going to turn 15 this Sunday. It would be a year since I got the game. A year since I got the game that literally saved my life.
I also felt like I knew N. Sometimes the dialog that he said sounded like it was specifically meant for you to hear, and that he was YOUR rival, not just some made up character's.
It's strange, but I felt like I personally knew N, as if he were a real person. I think that's what made me want to make my friendships in real life stronger, so that I would have someone like N who once you got to know him, he was a true friend. I fell in love with the fact that N realized him mistakes and unlike other Pokémon villains, became a hero. Also unlike the others, N didn't want World Domination, he wanted to help and save Pokémon. He is a brilliant character.
his farewell was so sad :'( i almost cried in that scene we will miss you N and dont be angry with yourself for that what happened with your father and Team Plasma.. you are a good person :)
The song from the game, and the remix from the soundtrack were both amazing pieces of music, and this does not fall short from those 2 great job. this has become one of my favorite songs from the entire series of pokemon.
Personally one of my favorite characters, N showcases Nintendo's writing at it's finest. The ending of the game showcases this beautifully, and the musical score that accompanies him and his group definitely add to the writing of an amazingly well-developed character. You did a wonderful job making one of his most touching themes come to life in this video. It literally gave me chills as I listened. This is one of the finest remixes you have produced, and I look forward hearing more of them.
No wonder Japanese critics prefer this game over Mario for the first time. This is because the plot actually portrays N as a complex character rather than your stereotypical power-hungry antagonist. Despite his father's despotism he still cared for Pokemon, and realizes his father's evils through the player giving him a taste of reality.
I loved the story for Black and White. It actually was very interesting, but when is pokemon not interesting???I love how the series has always focused on many different things. It might have been what true freedom is or what is our purpose is or how to appreciate our lives and other people .It's deeper than just extraordianry creatures fighting eachother. The movies do an excellent job of emphasizing different morals and choices and purposes.Long live Pokemon!!!!!!!!!!
Every time I heard this song I get tears in my eyes. Not because it was such an exceptional song; well, it actually is; but much rather because of the memories I linked to this song. Thank you for uploading. ^^
I got this game when I was ... well lets see, 14 maybe? Anyway, it's truly amazing how powerful the lessons in Pokémon are. It's also strange how you truly come to care for your Pokémon, even if they are only little animations on a game, you come to love them and see them as friends when the real world turns you away.
In my little "Story" in Black and White I have two characters. (I only created myself in one game then made up people or family/friends in other games) Casey and Toby were their names. They traveled together. When this part came and they had to fight Ghetsis Toby exclaimed not to call N useless and fought him unafraid with his Pokemon. Using Samurott he used Retaliate against Ghetsis's last Pokemon and said "That's for my Friend!" When N started to leave on Zekrom Toby ran across the hall and jumped on Zekrom. Looking up at N he said "You didn't seriously think you could just leave me here did you? Friends don't just leave! I'm going with you and together we're going learn about the world and all of Pokemon! That would make me truly happy...." Casey looks ahead at her two friends with Reshiram beside her. She only felt happiness, her heart swelling. She knew it'd be years if she ever got the chance to see their faces again. But to know they're happy is enough. That was one of the rare times where their ideals became the truth. They made it the truth.
+Bacon Gamer He does come back for monthly battles in BW2, and after you defeat him, he says he wants to find Hilbert/Black/Touya and tell him how he feels...! ISSHUSHIPPING OUO
I think this song perfectly encapsulates what N's personality is, painfully empathetic and melancholic. Connor! You did a really good job with this song ;3
I can't believe how much this game has changed my life. When I was 10, this game came out. I bought it. It was my first Pokemon game, and I LOVED it. I was going through a hard time, and for a while, I thought of killing myself. It wouldn't be hard, seeing tht my dad has a swordroom. But I played this game, and I remembered there are somethings worth living for. So thank you Game Freak. This masterpiece of a game changed my life and saved it.
Gen 5 for dis BEAUTY AND N or Gen 4 for FRICKIN CYNTHIA, even if you can't beat her just listen to her music, it's epic, but maybe not as HEART-BREAKING, BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING AS DIS, I FRICKIN LOVE N!!
the beauty and sadness in this makes me cry. N is one of the greatest characters in pokemon ever. maybe the best. so, that said, nintendo, dont ruin N in the new movie. please. it will be a sad sight to see him as a awful person, a evil person, or a pathetic failure. now we all plead, do not, i repeat, DO NOT ruin our N.
as i played white or black as my first game when i had just started playing platinum earlier in the year. I never understood the meaning of N and how much he suffered. I now see how much he did by playing it again while im 14.
So beautyful... I must think of thousand Things, while I listen to this... I will miss You, Black Edition! I will miss you, White 2! I will miss you, too, N! I will miss you all!!! I went back to this game to do a shiny run and became so engrossed in it. Thanks for putting up the song I’ve been listening to it nonstop
"You said you have a dream.. that dream, make it come true! make your wonderful dream a reality! if anyone can, it's you!"-N
Percy Hitsugaya no one will believe in me as much as N did

Your comment reminds me of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and how you get attached to your character despite them only being numbers of binary data.
Theinsanegamer10 The mark of a good story is when the characters become real. They cry, you cry. They laugh, you laugh. You share the pain and hurt with N when Ghetsis revealed his plan. You cry with your partner as you disappear out of the timeline.

Same 😢
N is so beautiful ugh.
Auryn I agree with all of u he is amazing cute and him leaving was a huge toll on me and this song is just omg I want to cry
When N finally left, I cried. I love N and he will remain my favorite. No matter what new guys are back. This by far is one of the saddest stories of what I know of. I I haven't played the X and Y but I just don't think it's the same...
_Sky_ that is very true and x and y definitely is not he same at all to me
Joceimoo do u mean at the end of the game when he says he's going to leave and travel ?
this piece right here, is the most beautiful and powerful pieces of music pokemon have released.

Poor N, forced by Ghetsis and the seven sages to think that pokemon were trapped by 'foolish humans' and tortured by their trainers.
DANGIT
I don't even play Pokemon B/W or B/W II but dang this music is awesome.
Dangit N.
Good to see you catch my good side :)
Hey N
Snow Dash
Hello, how is going.

his farewell was so sad :'( i almost cried in that scene we will miss you N and dont be angry with yourself for that what happened with your father and Team Plasma.. you are a good person :)
N is an amazing charter in the show and game just that he is my favorit charter in the whole pokemon unevers

This song reminds you of a friend who moved away and how much of a friend he was to you... the greatest memories...
I cried like hell when this part happened in the story. Gen 5 had the best story by far. Ghestis and N were so well developed, I really felt for them
I almost cried during this scene, it was beautiful.
Thank you for bringing these beautiful tears to my eyes.
Every time I heard this song I get tears in my eyes. Not because it was such an exceptional song; well, it actually is; but much rather because of the memories I linked to this song. Thank you for uploading. ^^
oh the games the series and the cards it is all coming back in a flood of happiness and sadness.

This song is just simply PERFECT!
This music sounds sad that I wanna cry in harmony. ,^-^, Its sad, I don't wanna leave you N! Please don't go!!!!

I hope that pokemon will stay like this because this was a surprise and it almost made me cry
I got goosebumps from how beautiful this song was, it feels as though they're even on my face, weird sensation! lol! Great work!
I almost cried.... this is such a beautiful arrangement.
so.... who else cried when N flew away?
ForestofCicadas not in a million years would I not cry
this game is 4 years old today.
N was my favourite character in black and white/black and white 2.... whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy N did you have to go?! :*(
+Bacon Gamer He does come back for monthly battles in BW2, and after you defeat him, he says he wants to find Hilbert/Black/Touya and tell him how he feels...! ISSHUSHIPPING OUO
*mentally crying because we all miss N*
Who put the bowl of onions in my room? I have never cried so much in my life... :'(
man I WISH that pokemon was real! I would have a happy life :) like if you agree with me
TheDiamondRanger27 I agree ☺
It's really sad, but I can't help but feel uplifted.
Very touching. N, i miss the battle we had, i hope we can meet again someday after you have found out what you wanted to do.
I think this song perfectly encapsulates what N's personality is, painfully empathetic and melancholic. Connor! You did a really good job with this song ;3
Just downloaded. What a gorgeous cover, especially after the two-minute mark. Great job.
I can't believe how much this game has changed my life. When I was 10, this game came out. I bought it. It was my first Pokemon game, and I LOVED it. as i played white or black as my first game when i had just started playing platinum earlier in the year. I never understood the meaning of N and how much he suffered. I now see how much he did by playing it again while im 14.
So beautyful...
I must think of thousand Things, while I listen to this...
I will miss You, Black Edition!
I will miss you, White 2!

I love this video and the song
@Theatrefreak7 glad you liked it! and well I've never played that game...so not sure haha
Its been a long time I have seen N
I'm going to buy Pokemon Black next week.
I already own Pokemon White.
I want to see N and Ghetsis again.
I want to play that magnificent story once more.
Bring it on, Team Plasma!
@TheSwanquill too right. I, admittedly, thought vanillux and garbador were unoriginal and that they ruined pokemon, but playing the game all the way through...the music at first, made me realise it was a brilliant game and the storyline just added the the emotion...i cant imagine how X and Y will top it, but if anyone can do it, its gamefreak
this is very beautiful and it reminds me of the old days wen pokemon on the tv was actually good:))
The last good Pokemon game ever made.
First view. This is a very emotional song. At first I thought it was going to be all piano. The strings really made a nice touch, and the piano-only ending as well. Great job.
Have you ever considered doing a song from Super Mario RPG? I think you'd make it sound great.
And the fandom rejoiced.
When I was playing Pokémon black and white I almost cried. Did anyone else almost cry?
LEAH R LILLGE exactly I cried to for a while it was t sad
Why does the song sound like he's not you around anymore and why does it sound so sad ?
This version is the official to me. Forget the other ones.
MP3? This would be very awesome to just listen to over and again.
Good bye N no not longer N his Name is Harmonia.
Good by Harmonia you will be my best friend forever....
AND Mother 3 was released in 2006/2007, seriously great games miind, shows that Nintendo can make a good story and a great game. (yes i've played Mother 3 BTW, EB on VC FTW!)
@GRonnoc Wow, I somehow missed this and your next video in my subscriptions. You did an amazing job on this, Connor. FANTASTIC work! Are you still using GarageBand, because your most recent pieces sound much better than anything I've heard done with it before. You sound like you've really mastered it! It's wonderful to listen to music this good.
And by the way, I think you should play SMRPG. It's a great game. And it's got some amazing music, too ;)
Try listening to it in 0.75 playback speed
I got here from a very sad picture of N all beaten an crying
a couple of parts actually sound exactly like theme of love
He looks like he's about to cry. Fitting, considering he realizes his entire world view up until the end of the game had been a lie.
EB is my second favorite game of all time and Mother 3 may be 7 or 8
when i hear this i think about my "far away" friend i never get to see :'/ i miss him
The first few notes of this song bear great resemblance to Mother 3 (Earthbound 2)
You'll forgive your hasty brother, won't you----
wait, wrong game...
I almost cried when he said goodbye to Reshiram/Zekrom. ;__;
I gonna play this in my pocket when I have to move or if someone else has to
This little freakshow I couldn't decide if I hated him or adored him because I loved kicking the crap out of his hippie Pokemon and then seeing what he says next, but then when he left it felt like a big part of the story was gone.
Beautiful...!!!
I feel like crying...
Do you release this song on Spotify or other music streaming services?
R.I.P Gen 5
you might not be the first to do this but u sure are the best :)
THE TEAAARRRRSS
EVERYONE!!! See my new video with this music!
It is called "The 1st Doctor's Farewell to Susan(my version)".
I used this music in it!!
Thanks ;)
I love music like these, is there any more this type of style of music anyone recommends?
The funny thing is I've heard people say that the theme of love ripped off this song even though mother 3 was in the development since the n64 days and the game came out before this
I miss N...:(
Am I the only one that thinks N looks a lot like Ukyo from the anime Amnesia?
green hair tho
Does anyone recognize the LOVE THEME from mother 1 in this song at the beginning and middle?
