I like how they tried to come up with fake names (Joseph Joos was a bit on the nose, but it got a chuckle out of me) but then, suddenly, they decided "You klnow what, no, Jospeh Goebbels stays".

@@23GreyFox in what way? The Königstiger was heavily armoured with all but the biggest anti-tank weapons being usually nothing more than a mosquito bite.
The tank also suffered with constant engine issues (such as oil leaking and igniting the fuel that also leaked within the tank, hydraulics for the turret movement breaking down often which meant the crew had to turn the turret by hand, and the fuel freezing in low temperatures, an issue that the Soviets rarely encountered as they used diesel in their more advanced tanks), and power-to-weight ratio was insanely low as it used the same engine as the Tigers E and H but weighing roughly 16 tons more.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the tank and think it is not only aesthetically pleasing but also very advanced for its time but it is very well known that the Tiger II suffered with engine problems. Most likely these faults with the tanks were down to the use of slave labour and said slaves (rightfully), sabotaging anything they could. Put it this way; I’d rather be in a Soviet or British/American heavy tank like the IS2, the Sherman Firefly, or the T26.
@@ChaoticCubizm funny that the other heavy tanks suffered nearly the same problems. Also it's mobility was better than that of the IS2 and the M26
@@23GreyFox are you a wheraboo or something? You can pretty much google “IS Tank series reliability”, and there’s plenty of info regarding its high reliability rate. Even if it did break down, the logistical issues suffered by the Tiger series were wayyy higher than that of Allied forces as they weren’t relying on horses to carry replacement parts or engineers. I’m not trying to be rude or trying to get into an arguments but it’s well known that the Germans suffered huge problems with their later stage tanks due to the aforementioned sabotage, not to mention the daily and nightly bombing operations of production plants in the Ruhr valley.

Age of Imperialism rapidly eclipsed many of the mods that I enjoy to play now. It's so well researched and makes the game so broken and fun it's mind boggling.

The decision the mods developers did for their focus tree is really interesting, I wish more people did this "just make everything overpowered, that way it's balanced!"
Rather than the cucked, "oh we can't make things too strong" most mods go for.

I would say Russia is in a better place. An industrial revolution that doesn't also require mass starvation, increaseing liberty, no genocide in the 1920s, no civil war. Technically larger borders if you include the semi-autonomous zones. And no global isolation.
Sure there is problems that can lead to the satilites breaking away. And there is still stuff like the purges. But I think it's clealry superior to the OTL Russia.

There was a mod I saw a loooong time ago now in which WW1 never really ended, at best there were multiple short truces that kept breaking over and over for decades, leaving all the European powers in.. a pretty hellish state.
Iirc that original mod wasn’t updated past some of the earliest hoi4 builds, but I’ve always wondered if anyone has remade it or done something similar.

Another alternative to absolutely painful Black Ice is World Ablaze mod, it is more user friendly but extremely difficult and like BICE historically accurate. Soviets or Japan are absolute hell to survive. I think you would appreciate a high level of difficulty, but without a lot of distracting mechanics like in BICE.
YES I love world ablaze, I’ve played it before in a let’s play style :) i will likely redo this series in world ablaze at some point :)
@@Aldrahill Oh yes, I found your old Let's Play. Well, they reworked a few things in the mod including focus trees, so I'm curious to see how it would go in the latest version.
Are there any major alternate history mods like this that don't have a Spanish Civil War? Maybe with a big news event explaining how there was a peaceful transition of power in Spain and the new Spanish Prime Minister is confused at how many foreign press outlets were predicting they would have a civil war?

You should try tank only as russia in kaiserredux (redux specifically) because there is op bonuses for tank research, i had 1943 mediums in august of 1939, and i still had a 50% bonus spare. And also it wont be as painfull as other challenges, so it will be a nice break from the suffering you go through.

@@Aldrahill Ah, fair. It is a little bit irritating to be honest. And then you ask the AI to give you control of the state, and either they don't ("-1000 you already have too much lol") or they do and it just reverts back to them after the whole state is occupied. Grrrr Paradox code
The main problems with these mods is their difficulty; they are just too easy!
Kaiserreich is great because most nations are quite difficult, and they have nations like paraguay which is a similar experience to endseig in difficulty.

What plane design did you use?
I built quite normal planes! Presets, but added an extra machine gun set to the fighters, and filled up my thrust with bong locks for the cas :)
Well no wonder you have so much manpower you never lost all those people in ww1 so your population would never have suffered as it had
