My mate is a fireman, he told me years ago that the brigade were trying to get the numbers of women & ethnics up. He said that to join the fire service you had to go through fitness, strength and chest expansion tests. To try to meet their targets, the powers that be abandoned much of the testing. they now have people who can't carry casualties down a ladder or are not strong enough to pull an injured colleague out of a burning building or get the ladder off the top of a fire engine. I'm ex-Army, whatever happened to the speech my phase 1 platoon sergeant gave us: 'I don't care what colour your skin is, we all wear the same green and we all bleed the same red, and many of you will bleed. Once you bleed or the man next to you is bleeding, you won't care about skin other than stopping it leak'. He used stronger language than that, but UA-cam would hide the comment if I included it.
Two days before my passing out of phase 2 I was called into the N.C.Os office, I was told by the Plt Sgt, 4 Corporals and 1 Lance Jack that they wanted to give me the best recruit award. They were overruled by the C.O. (who hadn't spent a single day with my platoon during training) who wanted a minority recruit to get the award 'to encourage inclusion'. So the platoon staff had a few beers with me (they took me to a club called Tall Trees near I.T.C. Catterick) because they said I was robbed. The weird thing is that had they not told me, I would never have known. This was mid (maybe June?) 2000 so this has been going on a long time. It's simply more visible now. That means they're getting more comfortable with this agenda but I don't think they're finished yet. If war starts with China or Russia I won't fight for this country, I won't fight against it because I love my country, the land and its native people, but I won't fight for the new additions and I certainly won't fight for a system that appears to hate me. It's ironic that the military talk about service men moving towards the far right, it seems to me like they are being pushed, vigorously.

It's very disappointing and totally disheartening to hear of these issues in the RAF Tim. I served in the RAF and it is so heartbreaking to hear of this "Wokeism" invading the RAF. It'll destroy it and the Royal Navy and Army as well. The forces will become so utterly unattractive to all our ambitious clever good young people, if not already, to any one of them who wanted a career in our military. Wanting to be a member of a highly professional, skilled team in the understanding and practice of how to wage war when needed and all the other humanitarian tasks in dangerous environments the forces are involved. Not to feel discluded because of who they are and how they look and what sex they are, but should be considered whatever and get in, because; they are the best person for the career, not because they will "fill a quota" for an alterior desire by someone at the top, to achieve something else? which has nothing to do with maintaining a military force but, is a social identity politics and wokeism "engineering project" and for what..? It's nothing to do with the military profession and being in this nations armed forces. I think the rot started some time ago and for what reason..? certainly nothing to do with maintaining a first class military, with the best people able to fight wars, whatever colour or creed, male or female!! Recruiting the best people for the job, protecting this nation and other nations, is the only reason and purpose of fighting forces, they aren't a social science project to be fucked around by stupid individuals trying to turn the military into something else. Our nations security isn't a debate in a; woke and politically correct way in the every day lives of the nation in a university or college debating club! The RAF Commanders seem to have made it their mission to be a social engineering project and for what...? Wokeism, it's a disease to our forces to function as forces! The RAF Regiment, a ground fighting Corps raised by Royal Warrant, with a high Espirit De Corps instilled in it's Gunners and officers & NCO's and front line units. The RAF Police are still a Police force for the RAF. Haven't the Americans assessed the British forces now as being, "second division", non effective, being so small, not "tier 1" Forces. Very sad.

      Dear Paul,
I can understand your concerns, but could this 'agenda' be a life saver in the long run? For countless generations the various arms of the UK's military have done their absolute utmost to develop the forces to be among the most effective life takers on the planet. As a result, politicians of every party have had little to no hesitation in putting these highly talented individuals at risk in conflicts where we had no business being involved.
Now, if government ministers know for certain that our military will get their arses handed to them, they might be less inclined to behave as if we still have an empire to maintain.

      @@karlv2876 Dear Karl,
On the other hand, if politicians are under no illusions about how inadequate our Armed Forces have become, perhaps they'll be a little less eager to throw them into conflicts in which the UK has no stake.
Alternatively, knowing that the human element of the military is entirely deficient might be a spur to develop better robots to do the dirty work. Ideally, the UK's entire defence infrastructure will soon be a collection of droids and drones directed by AI.
      Frank.

It is unfortunate that you are witnessing the fall of your country in this lifetime, usually civilizations take time to crumble after overstretching, raiding and committing crimes on a mass scale.
But yes.. unfortunate but not undeserved.
The sun has set on the Empire, it seems.
And it is not satisfied with just setting either, it seems to want to drag your empire underneath with the way your politicians are behaving.

Thanks for the video Tim, very honest and open video. Intelligent people can feel when the organisation they are in has lost its way and the RAF definitely falls into this category. I left in 2003 having been a aircraft technician and even then they were more interested in getting their initial training educationally certified than fit for purpose, thus the attitude adjustment and filtering of people not suited to the military ethos was stepped over and this then had happen later down the line. Nineteen years later and this management mentality of meeting targets and not capability has become fully developed and integrated.

Have to say as an x squaddie and now psychiatric nurse (now aged 50) that the 2 worst places I have ever known for training (expensive) and not retaining staff are the forces and the NHS. It beggars belief The incompetent imbeciles that get promoted while around them the really decent guys are leaving. It's almost like living in a altered state of reality! In the Army the same old chestnut got rolled out, we'll put you on your cadre course son! The people at the very top of these organisations haven't a clue but then resort to knee jerk reactions to try and encourage a quota of recruits from ethnic backgrounds instead of the best person for the job and more imaginative ways at retention after paying out £38,100 per trainee! Get a grip!

Hats off to you Tim… I’m ex-RAF FJ and QFI… I actually trained the first female pilot in the RAF in the late 80s and have to report that from that point there has been absolutely no discrimination against women doing the job, there has also been a steady flow of female pilots into the service. I too have flown/worked with many ethnic minority colleagues… what is going on is all PC bullshit and totally wrong and illegal. I can’t imagine how I would have felt in 1980 if I’d applied for pilot training in the RAF then been denied due to BAME/gender quotas… despicable and just wrong… dreams being destroyed and service operational capability must be affected… fly safe 👍🏻

Heartbreaking. My son is in the middle of this at the moment. He out performs EVERYONE around him. When he was a cadet, it was the same. He gave up his weekends to help charities through the RAF Cadets.
Because he's Indigenous British and a male, he's been over looked EVERY single time.
He's looking at emigrating and joining a military there. If the RAF want women, non indigenous Brits and trans people rather the best candidates. So be it. Unlike Anerica, they don't have the size to absorb their ridiculousness and poor performances and if they feel comfortable doing it, so be it.

Tim, I have said before and I say it again that I stand shoulder to shoulder with you. What I didn’t say is that I am not RAF but I am a police officer and I am sick and tired of targets and ridiculous diversity being placed above the delivery of service and safety to those that I have sworn my dedicated service to. I feel like a coward for not saying aloud all the things that I am happy to agree with you saying here. The job has lost its way for so long now that I am afraid to speak up for fear of losing my job. The targets that the government set of twenty thousand extra officers is being filled with quite frankly incompetent officers and they are literally taking everyone of ethnicity to meet these targets who shouldn’t, and wouldn’t, have passed the assessments previously. It is insulting to me and my colleagues who have had to prove ourselves under threat of being sacked is we mess up but now these new recruits who are literally just offered the role of Constable because they tick a box for ridiculous government statistics. I absolutely feel insulted but am absolutely without voice because I am a white British officer. I know that any competent officer of a minority would be offended to hear that my voice was silenced because of my ethnicity because they too are competent and are completely my fellow officer. So how can it be that the government and senior officers are so bloody frightened to stand up and say ‘if you are not good enough, you ARE not good enough regardless of colour, sexual orientation, religious beliefs’ etc etc. I swore to protect the public and will give my life if necessary to honour that attestation. I can say with my hand on my heart that the last two years have seen an utterly disgraceful amount of officers sworn into service based purely to satisfy minority figures who have neither the intention, capability or desire to serve the (now) king. My vocabulary fails me Tim as I am not as well spoken or eloquent as you. But I absolutely want you to know that I STILL STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER with you and always will. I wish I could be there to support you through in person with what you are going through mate but you are not alone. We, your loyal supporters ARE here to listen. Just know we agree, what you say is listened to, we appreciate every truth you say and we will be here awaiting your next video. My sincerest regards. Roger Henderson.

This same process occurred in South Africa in the national airline and airforce. Net result is that the airline folded and is in business rescue and only Bee pilots are being employed without the proper training or accreditation. I shudder to think what if any maintenance is taking place and waiting for an SAA airliner to drop out of the skies. The airfoce has 25 Saab Gripen jets which are inactive as there are no AA pilots trained or qualified to fly them. All potential quota pilots were failed by Saab Sweden and a training facility in Australia as being unsuitable or untrainable to fly sophisticated weaponry.
