Vinny is so adorable!! How cute when Dominic lays on his back, then Vinny rolls over too. Enjoy this new addition to your family! 💕 ~ Blessings
Thanks!! They are so cute together! 🥰
He is so cute!!😍
He's a doll! The masked silkens are my favorite. I thought white was my favorite until I got my own masked Lassie colored girl.
Aw thanks! I’m in love with his color. It’s even better now that he’s full grown.
Beautiful boy! How has he grown now?
My kids are the same age as yours. I was looking into the silkens and figuring out if they are a good breed with kids, or if I need to search a smaller breed. Before kids i used to show husies and do canicross and bikejoring with them.
I want to have a puppy in one more year, so mybkids will be 1 and 3 (almost 4).
@@Bioeliful153 My kids are 3 and 5 now, and Vinny has been an absolute saint with them! Vinny (3 now) is on the large size for a Silken too, he’s 45 pounds and 24.5 inches. 30-35 pounds is more typical, and 18.5-23.5 inches is the standard.
How was the puppy stage? I have heard that whippets are like velocirraptors the first 2 years, and then they settle down. How is it with silkens?
@@Bioeliful153 It does vary somewhat between Silkens. Some are born acting like old dogs, some are crazy for a couple years. Vinny was what I would consider on the crazier side.
I had him under constant supervision or in a crate until about 1.5 years, then he was allowed loose at night and more of a secondary supervision during the day. He would chew on wood given the chance until about 1.5 and he would dig outside given any opportunity.
He took a while to potty train, about 8 months old before he stopped having accidents. He would pee outside but only a few drops no matter how long he was outside, and then pee inside 5 minutes later. 😆 From what I’ve heard though most Silkens potty train much earlier than that.
Now at 3 he’s an angel and I don’t worry about any of that, except for the occasional digging. No desire for chewing any more. I do shut him in a bedroom if I leave the house just out of an abundance of caution.
I’m new here he is so cute I just subscribed🤗🤗
Thanks and thanks for stopping by! 🥰
which breeder is he from?
