And here we go again. The all mighty Ben did it again. An 80´s classic. Man, you are a never ending source of outstanding covers. Most of what I play is, because of what I learned from watching your videos.
I was a teen out at the NJ shore clubs when this song was really popular, and local bands would play it as part of their set - I swear the place would stop dancing and whatever, whenever the solo to this song cam up, and all would turn, to watch if the local band lead guitarist could play it or not - I swear, one time they person playing guitar "faked" through it, and the place booed the heck out of him - thats' how insanely popular this song and solo was back then. This was really great to watch you play it - another great cover!!!
Wow! I rarely use this word to describe guitar playing but this was very "sexy" I've had this on repeat for the last hour. Thank you for sharing your gift!
Man that was awsome!! Very good tone as well. I hope this dude is getting rich cus he darn sure sure deserves it. A true here that stands above any and all athletes in any sport as far as I'm concerned
killer, man! i was messing around with the same song after hearing Carpenter Brut's version. with only a Tom Morello-esque approach or mindset - "no synthesizers" (or make the guitar sound like a synth), I also found it tough which (synth) parts to recreate on my guitar (an MiJ Dinky from the late 90s to early 00s as well).
Another awesome one, man! By the way, I was listening to a 1990 playlist on Pandora the other day and a Janet Jackson song came on with a great guitar piece and I thought of you. Sadly, I Can't remember the title of the tune, but it'd be a great one for Leppardizing! ;)
Good job. If I'm not mistaken this song was played with the guitar tuned half step down, so it was easier for Sembello to play it in Emin key/scale positions, while you did it in standard tuning.
Just a steel town girl on a Saturday night Looking for the fight of her life In the real-time world, no one sees her at all They all say she's crazy Locking rhythms to the beat of her heart Changing movement into light She has danced into the danger zone When the dancer becomes the dance It can cut you like a knife If the gift becomes the fire On the wire between will and what will be She's a maniac, maniac on the floor And she's dancing like she's never danced before She's a maniac, maniac on the floor And she's dancing like she's never danced before On the ice-blue line of insanity Is a place most never see It's a hard-won place of mystery Touch it, but can't hold it You work all your life for that moment in time It could come or pass you by It's a push-shove world, but there's always a chance If the hunger stays the night There's a cold kinetic heat Struggling, stretching for the peak Never stopping, with her head against the wind She's a maniac, maniac at your door And she's dancing like she's never danced before She's a maniac, maniac at your door And she's dancing like she's never danced before Oh! It can cut you like a knife If the gift becomes the fire On the wire between will and what will be She's a maniac, maniac at your door (at your door) And she's dancing like she's never danced before She's a maniac, maniac at your door And she's dancing like she's never danced before Maniac, maniac at your door And she's dancing like she's never danced before
Love how complex the guitar part are composition-wise. Not necessarily hard to play, but different even in nuance - the first chorus is played slightly different than the second. Not sure if this is you or how the song is played originally, but it's really well done.
Thanks! These are my added guitar parts but are sometimes based on the instrumentation that’s already there. My Leppardized series is a chance for me to add guitar to pop songs which has little to no guitar in them.
Thanks! Some of the parts I have added are from just improvising over the track so they are made by me but also based on what you hear from other instruments.
Top drawer as always, Ben. I've always liked this song and it sounds great leppardized. Do you remember Michael sembello's, "rock until you drop?" It was from the monster squad movie. I'd love to hear you leppardize that. The song is really catchy and upbeat. 🙌

This is 1000x better with your guitar in front of the mix: actual rock. 👏👏👏 Bravo.

I can see how this song would be difficult to add guitar parts into, but you make it look easy (and I know it's not!). Great creativity shown here.
Fantastic as usual from you!
Good job. If I'm not mistaken this song was played with the guitar tuned half step down, so it was easier for Sembello to play it in Emin key/scale positions, while you did it in standard tuning.
Ah that would make sense. Cheers!
Hero
I like when you add layer of guitar over songs like these that have little to no guitar in them. Makes them into power pop rock songs
DAMN, you crushed this song!
Amazing!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Fantastic
🌟🌟🙂🙂🙂
Really tasty! Great job dude!
Nice cover
Sensacional!
Love it
Love this cover! I’m interested to see what your take is on Firewind’s cover of “Maniac.”
Just a steel town girl on a Saturday night
Looking for the fight of her life
In the real-time world, no one sees her at all
They all say she's crazy
Locking rhythms to the beat of her heart
Changing movement into light
She has danced into the danger zone
When the dancer becomes the dance
It can cut you like a knife
If the gift becomes the fire
On the wire between will and what will be
She's a maniac, maniac on the floor
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
She's a maniac, maniac on the floor
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
On the ice-blue line of insanity
Is a place most never see
It's a hard-won place of mystery
Touch it, but can't hold it
You work all your life for that moment in time
It could come or pass you by
It's a push-shove world, but there's always a chance
If the hunger stays the night
There's a cold kinetic heat
Struggling, stretching for the peak
Never stopping, with her head against the wind
She's a maniac, maniac at your door
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
She's a maniac, maniac at your door
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
Oh!
It can cut you like a knife
If the gift becomes the fire
On the wire between will and what will be
She's a maniac, maniac at your door (at your door)
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
She's a maniac, maniac at your door
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
Maniac, maniac at your door
And she's dancing like she's never danced before
this is so good, well done!
Very good man...
Damm, I love It!
Suggestion: A Good Heart, by Feargal Sharkey (Leopardized ir not 😅)

Love it mate. One of my favourite 80s tracks and you nailed it. Is there any chance of getting your tab for this? Have a great wknd 🤟🏻🎸
Thanks Lee, yeah it will be on my Patreon in the next couple of days.
WoW perfect ❤
워낙 좋아하는 노래이기도 하지만, 더 좋아하는 필콜린 기타톤으로 들으니까 더 좋다. 좋아!
Some parts sound almost as if they were played by Brian May. Great job as always!
Ah cool, thank you!

Nice
👍👍
This is a masterpiece, i watched like all renditions of this song, you are outstanding. Did you compose it yourself?
Thanks! Some of the parts I have added are from just improvising over the track so they are made by me but also based on what you hear from other instruments.
👏👏👏👏
✨👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✨

Awesome....do you learn all these songs by ear?
Thank you! Yes I do.

Lepperdizing from the God himself
Definitely Leppard sounding.
Top drawer as always, Ben.
I've always liked this song and it sounds great leppardized.
Do you remember Michael sembello's, "rock until you drop?"
It was from the monster squad movie.
I'd love to hear you leppardize that. The song is really catchy and upbeat. 🙌
Thanks! I’ll give that a look
@@bwm5150 I'm sure you could work your leppardized magic on it.😂👍
There's been a few mixes, but I think this is the OG.👍
What effects amd settings did you use here?
You are such a badass
Bingo bango
You going to see motley crew at Wembley BMW ?
Motley aren’t a band I follow. I like a few of their tracks but not interested in seeing them live.
....sorry, Jennifer...😊
