Gosh, Hanna ended up with a really beautiful home. I am not normally a lover of all that wood, but the way she incorporated the brick, the beams, the wooden closets, the countertops, it somehow makes it appear a lot bigger, and very elegant. I have to say I'm impressed! Hanna and Merlot are very lucky to have such a nice space. The cost was relatively high, but for a house built to your specifications and done so nicely, the result is excellent. And as someone who lives fairly minimalist it is well designed.
It comforts me to hear what a wonderful experience Hannah had with her builder; having weekly build meetings and the ability to have her input in to the build design.
Such a cozy, yet roomy home. Everything is designed so well. My only issue would be the wood box sofa. I would have to get a lot thicker cushions or have to buy something more comfortable.
Wow this home is gorgeous 🥰 I love how she did the broken brick on her walls, really beautiful. Thank you guys for featuring this home, great camera work too. I felt like I was standing in the kitchen with y'all 😊. God bless you always 🤗🤗🤗
Welcome to East Tennessee! We love it here! We've been here eight years now. Moved up here from Houston, TX. This is paradise compared to Houston. I love your tiny!!! I would need more head room upstairs, but We are tall. UT is a wonderful school. I know you'll love it here. Your horse is beautiful. How nice to have these blessings.
Wonderful home! Love all the personal touches and thoughtfulness she put into this build. Great job on all the customization she wanted and getting land too!! Nice to see places in this country where one can put a tiny on their own land. 👏👍
What I would give to live ĺike that. I'm retired and fell ill two years ago. I have maintained on my own for the past year. So this way of life would be good for me. I'm in 700sq ft apt that I own. But hate! I have neighbors attached to my sides. New experience for me. My apartment was purchased by my children after selling the family home. It would never be my choice. But they handed it well, as I said, I WAS quiet ill. I was already thinking Tiny Home, following you and thinking some more. But plans were changed. And I'm greatful but not exactly happy with my living situation. Don't waste time, make your disecisions while YOU can. JS🎉
What a beautiful home Hannah has. I like the natural wood look and the brick splash back that follows on from where the fire is. This whole home is cosy and so relaxing and calming as well. Your dog is beautiful as well.
The real key to making it work is procuring LEGAL LAND. What the tiny home looks like is the least of the issues... a nice bonus. LAND, in a safe location Water, Electricty, Heat, and Septic are all important.
I love, love, love her home! I can see myself living in something like what she has. I can see how happy she is with it. The extra expenses were worth it.
Super cool !! I think for under $200k she did awesome !!! She has an acre of her own land and a beautiful home that suits her needs in a great state ! It’s exactly what I want ! Thanks for showing us your awesome home adventure!!
This tiny home looks great, love the reading chair and two stools that look and must feel a lot better than what most people use as bar stools. The colours are also a nice pop among all the beautiful wood.
It may just be the day is was filmed but it was really dark and gloomy. The layout and storage are terrific. Loved the irregular brick. Congrats on your new home.
This home is exquisite and so sweet. Being elderly, I couldn't do the loft bedroom every day, but it is very lovely. Everything is so thought out in an excellent build. ❤ the bathroom, so pretty. Electric toilet is the way to go. Thank you for sharing this lovely home.
Love, love, love this tiny home. Interesting about utilities. I live in a temperate climate that is almost always cool and overcast. I never have to heat anywhere but the living room and kitchen (when in there) in my 1200sq ft home. I have solar. Though my heat would be gas, I rarely turn it on, and instead heat throughout the day with ceramic space heaters taking advantage of the solar (that's when I run the dish washer, washer, and dryer too)--it's cool enough much of the year to require heat throughout the year. Don't have a whole house battery yet and so have to pay to light the kitchen and living room in the evening, and also if I have to turn the heat on in the evening in the winter, but tend to use a heated throw instead in the evening for pennies. My halls and bathrooms are lit at night with motion detecting lights that I can charge with the solar... so I save on switching on and off lights save for the kitchen, living room, and when readying for bed. (Just the act of switching on a light is costly.) I don't have to pay for water here. My utilities are about half of what she pays, but that's in part because I sell back to the grid and get paid for that. The benefits of living in a temperate climate with solar. I've never lived so cheaply. Meanwhile, people around me had to contend with skyrocketing natural gas costs. So glad I made the investment in solar which paid for itself in half the time suggested. It's never too late to put solar in.
I sooo Love this... I have an acre and was trying to figure what type of home to do. I think this is a very sustainable option but very comfy and homey. I Love it!
Love this home. It feels like a cross between a rustic cabin and industrial loft. She made very smart choices. In particular, opting for the extra storage space downstairs instead of a desk/work area. For me, I would not be keen on the loft space. Feels a bit confining and my sense is that with heat rising it could get pretty warm up there. But that's a personal choice. For what she paid for the home and the land, I think it was a great investment.
Hi Hannah! I live in West TN but I love your part of the state. I think your house is beautiful. The inside layout, the wood finishes, its all so nice.
This is one of the prettiest tiny homes I've seen. I love it! I love all the upgrades, and the black with the wood! I see a lot of tiny homes have that little wood burner, I would think that would heat up the whole place? I'm still trying to convince my husband to go tiny.....still working on it. Tennessee seems to be very accommodating when it comes to Tiny Homes. We live in GA on 8 acres, and you just can't put a tiny home on the property, unless it's a short term rental. Thanks for sharing!

She did great in design so glad to see developers working with her on customization ❤ this is a Tiny house slay!!!
